This time, I propose to make something focused essentially on speed, stability, memory and storage rather than spending time with aesthetics.
So, inside you'll find basically only the Operating System, with its' basic functionalities. All the rest, you can install by yourself, according to your needs.
It doesn't make sense to fill storage, with applications that you will never need.
Concerning the aesthetics, there are a lot of themes out there...it's just a matter of searching!
I also want to share with you, the best way to make your updates of firmware, as most of the bugs that we find, are the result of a bad-flash. Most of the times, of you re-flash, the bugs disappear.
To avoid this, this is how I flash my roms:
1. Hard Reset your device, pressing OK at the end
2. Before it starts rebooting, make another Hard Reset, but now don't press the OK button. Instead, remove the battery!
3. Wait 1 minute. While you wait, remove the storage card and the SIM card as well
4. Put the battery inside the pda again.
5. Press the buttons Camera + Power + Reset (with the pen, on the bottom of the pda) until you see the screen with color strips
6. Insert usb cable
7. Start flashing the device, as you always do.
8. As soon as it reaches 100% on the screen of the pda, it becomes black for a couple of seconds. Then, make a hard-reset, and press ok.
9. Make another hard reset, but now, but now don't press the OK button. Instead, remove the battery!
10. Wait 1 minute
11. Re-insert the battery, memory card and SIM card
12. With the pen, press the reset button on the bottom of the pda until it starts.
13. Have FUN!!

For those who loose their WIFI settings after a softreset, please follow these instructions (thank's dta1974):
[!] For prevent password and account dissapearing u should (you should make this procedure immediately after first soft reset ):
1. Set up your connection settings
2. Open IExplorer / Set up Internet connection / Open some internet page
3. Click Disconnect button to close internet connection
4. Hold power button and turn off your phone
5. Power on your phone.
After that procedure your password wont disapear. I think that you should repeat the same for mail account (set up mail account / try to send or recieve your mail / hold disconnect button / turn off your phone)

FAST and CLEAN just like a ROM should be. Great work. The only suggestion is to change the 3G and battery icons. They are old and quite ugly. My opinion only.

This ROM is exactly what I want but I have the same recommendation, with the newer data icons and battery meter with color and 1% increments this ROM would be perfect. The only other thing I will add to it besides the usual apps is the Opal 2G dialer just like pda corner or something a little jazzier but thats no biggie.
i cant read my text messages and for me it's to slow (with my apps). though it looks REALLY nice. back to T-Mobile's Rom

Wireless Manager link is dead in settings. button dun work also.
its clean but i believe this is a must to be included, the 3g phone app must be included for hermes if not user will not be able to use 3G video conference & the 3g button is not assign to anything.

Have you download comm manager from device update
SMS messaging does not work. When I click on a received text i get the box to type in but it takes up the whole screen and I cant see what was said in the text. This is with the threaded setting turned on in advanced config.
Love the amount of RAM you have free. I would give this a try but need the incremental battery meter and ideally the Opal 2G dialer. Glad you haveCRC's device update included so I can change Comm Manager.

SMS messaging does not work. When I click on a received text i get the box to type in but it takes up the whole screen and I cant see what was said in the text. This is with the threaded setting turned on in advanced config.

Hey man, this can be worked around by turning off threaded messaging, and fixed by the chef by replacing htmlnote.dll in SYS\redist folder
Hey Dude,
For the clean ROM, it is nothing in ROM only Base ROM. You have the option to make your own ROM and to your taste. So, you have all the apps, how they need to install via device update.
For example: Comm Manager, MMS software, Dial 3G or 2G, another themen...
I hope that you have now a clear understanding my clean ROM.

For the P3600i users here's a new ROM for your device based on Touch Diamond latest official release CE OS 5.2.20764 Build 20764.1.4.3.
I've ported XIP and SYS from my official Diamond ROM and worked it to bring you a good and stable Trinity ROM.

I have not tested the ROM as I don't have a P3600i, so any bug reports and comments are welcome.
After many requests, I have finally tried M2D, and decided to release a M2D ROM along with Normal and Light versions with all corrections included.

To have the menu size back to normal, use your favorite registry editor and go to:

Well, after analyzing the process you mention (nosedive's "Mod_i"), I can see that it does a part of the whole process.
It dumps the XIP from the ROM, replaces nk.exe, rebuild the XIP, rebuild ROM.
Now, in my ROM theres another thing that has to be done.
In my ROM for P3600, I use the old nk.exe (to prevent password and email settings loss bug) along with a modified serial_BTUR.dll (to fix stereo BT sound).
In P3600i ROM, I use the new nk.exe and the original serial_BTUR.dll, and then after creating the ROM, I use a different tool(P3600i specific) to build RUU_signed.nbh.
So, I guess you'll experience stereo BT sound problems if you use my P3600 ROM modified with nosedive's "Mod_i".
I don't know if you have a stereo BT headset, but if you do, try it to confirm my suspicions.

Thanks for this beautifully fast rom. I just have 1 question, I can't seems to connect to internet if the 3G button in the comm manager is on. When I turn it off I can connect.
I'll try to flash radio rom today and see what happens.
edit: Sorry my mistake, . The problem is network related. Free ram after 2 days use = 19.xx mb. No hangs. Everything looks good. Love this rom.

Yes, you are right. BT does not work. I'm flashing your 'i' provided now. Will report back the results.
I confirm that BT works with the 'i' rom provided here.

It's ready to flash on P3600i.
Great ROM. One small (bug?). When wifi is diconnected, the top-bar icon remains present. Clicking it confirms that there is no active connection. Reboot clears the icon OK.
To my mind, the ROM has just a little too much baggage for the P3600i. Mind you, I am using MSVC which uses 1407kB. Thus TomTom is hanging on the edge if M2D (uses 3635kB of memory) is left running at the same time.
My biggest memory users are: Manila2d(3635) Device(2746) Filesys(2286) Gwes(2027) VoiceCmd(1407) Cprog(875) FingerMenu(730) etc

As far as I know, WM5Storage is a bit tricky...
I don't exactly remember the correct settings, but you need to mess with the "troubleshooting" settings. I know I had to do something there to get it working.

I can't test this myself, because I don't have my trinity anymore (it suffered an accident and is no longer with us ), but you should try nueMassStorage. It's not made specifically for trinity but it's worth a try.
If it doesn't work at first try, you should try de-selecting the "enable advanced networking" under activesync (see the screenshot in the link).

OK. I have changed the language.txt file in windows directory, so this problem was solved.
I had to set "AutoswitchHandle" registry value of ACS Services to '0' because I got an error message while started my PDA. (There is not AutosWitch.exe in Windows dir.)
It seems everything is good with this ROM.

1. Copy the language.txt to windows directory, overwrite the existing Russian file.
2. Unzip and import the registry file or set manually this. You have to install a registry editor program for this operation. (E.g. Resco explorer with registry editor pluggin)

Actually I accidentally load the PLK version and found that working great! For WWE, QVGA (28205) is working good as well but it only for 64Mb RAM. WWE VGA (28214) is a bit lag when scrolling, and i found that it drain the battery in a day even if i left it unused. looking forward for your new WWE build ROM. Thanks for all the hard work.

I have a tiny MOD for you all. It will replace the WM6.1 wait cursor by the one from WM6.5. It is from Marshall and its small app is MWC3. However I cleaned the CAB (remove all unnecessary exe,shortcuts and png's) and included the WM6.5 png's. Last precision it's still uninstallable.

If you install CompactSense you'll have to put the manila file thereafter in the windows folder (with totalcommander) to correct an alignment in the Start menu.

This ROM looks very fast (I installed it as-is without the extra cabs).
However, I cannot activate my Wifi connection. The Wifi connection is grayed out in the Connections Manager. Any idea why?

Wow! Thanks for this rom! Bought a used, very cheap Diamond just to play with beside my Desire (cause i missed WinMo just a little)
Tried 5 different roms last two days and all were way too buggy, though some of them had some cool features, I admit...
EVERYTHING seems to work in this rom! Fast, clean and very stable. No freezes in one day´s heavy use. It´s just like using the original Winmo 6.1 Touch diamond2.
Too bad there´s no donate-button

edit: everything was going smoth until I clicked start button and realized it was a programs tab lookalike. if it wasnt for that the rom was perfect. put in a decent wm start menu and you have yourself a winner ROM.

Hi, this is my first post on this forum, just to tell you how gratefull I am for your excellent rom!
The rom still runs great, but wifi connection on youtube and opera goes up and down. Renew IP-adress seems to help sometimes. But this problem I have had with almost all HTC Winmo devices
Also, the Laser taskbar didn't "open" sometimes + caused the home screen flip clock to stop - but a reinstall helped

I just bought a HTC Diamond, and I tried a bunch of different roms, ranging from Android to Windows Mobile. I have to say that this is the best one of them all! It's extremely fast for me, and everything works without any problems. Great work!
The only thing I'm concerned about is that the task manager closes all of my applications automatically.
I launched the FM Radio, put that in "exclusive" apps in the task manager, and tried to launch Opera Mini after that, and the FM Radio closed instantly. So I can only run one application at a time.
What should I do to be able to run FM Radio, nanoGroove and Opera Mini in the background? Please help!

I have no answer, I've tried and yes radio is shutting down. Listen to your music instead of radio, it's working or maybe with a smaller page pool.
If some1 have a clue he's welcome...
==>ANSWER: it is a memory issue. I switched off Sense and tried again and then it's working.==> So, do that trick or try to set a smaller page pool before reinstalling. (Be conscious it will slow down your mobile.)
