Hey, is it possible for the Diamond to run dual ROMS(eg. having two ROMS on your phone and choosing one to boot, like a pc having two operating systems)?
Cheers,
scruffy_joe
nope... limited ROM/RAM
Maby two Lite versions of a cooked ROM?
Just curious what would be the benefit of running dual ROMs?

maybe for branded phones? easier to switch back to the original stock firmware without flashing it back for warranty reasons...
can't really see a porpouse for anything else here..
Maybe have one stable rom and a beta rom for testing
If dualboot was possible, I'd have my favourite cooked ROM and a linux version to fiddle around till it works someday

Hi,
I am currently running the TLR 3 ROM which included the option to remove both Manilla and Opera (I don't use either).
Is it possible to either remove these post upgrade from existing ROMs or is there a cooked ROM based on the latest version that does not have either?
Thanks
just pick a naked rom, and install what ever u want.
there are plenty of them here,
just search for one

What is the most up to date naked ROM then?
Any links?
sooooo, got my touch pro 2 today, and i thought the 6.5 on there would look like the one on the HD2.....do i need to update something?
You need to install a custom ROM w/ sense 2.5 on it. I believe the only stock ROM w/ 6.5 2.5 is sprints.

You can download custom ROMs with the same UI of the HD2.
First you will want to read this thread a couple times until you are comfortable with it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550540
It should give you all the information needed to flash your first custom ROM. ROM selection is completely personal, so asking here won't get you much help...read the threads and see what other users are commenting would be my best suggestion. Also, sort the ROM forum by most viewed/posts:

can the touch pro 2, support 16GB SD card?
Yea it should work fine. Strangely i've seen some posts about SD cards not working, but it seems to be random.

ok, thanks
And, you could flash a stock 6.5 sense 2.5 rom, just find a s/n for update download from HTC site, for example, european rom (WWE). I know that gays from USA and USA carriers installed that rom with no issues. And, TP2 supports sd cards up to 32gb.
in a couple of weeks after using ROMs with Sense 2.5 im going to run the actual stock OEM European ROM on my Tilt 2 just to get the taste of how it really is before Sense 2.5, despite the fact ill lose a lot of stuff from 2.5 but hey, it doesnt hurt to try right?
so it really worth the time, flashing this ROM?
how good is the battery and performance?
is it going to brick my Tilt 2 if i flash a EURO ROM?

1. Yeah, its really worth flashing that rom, Ive got it on my TP2.
2. Battery and perfomance are good, Sense 2.5 with Cookie Home Tab rocks, just install tools for cleaning ram cpu from time to time(Ram Sweeper, Clean Ram, etc...)
3. No, you not going to brick your device, I know guy from Texas that did it without any issue, just in case, install Hard spl before you flash new rom, you`re always install stock spl with relocker.

installed and Sense 2.5 messaging was so slow (rest of rom was quite fast) it was almost un-useable... so flashed NRG cookie rom, sense 2.5 works fine
XERO_Racer doesn't want to install the ROM with Sense 2.5, but the ROM with Sense 2.1. In that ROM Messaging isn't slow at all. In fact, that ROM is overall a bit faster than the latest ROM (with Sense 2.5).

Looks like not. There are few users keep saying it is possible, but no one show the way how.
New bootloader can't boot 2.17.XXX.X roms, for now, question is what about new radio too...
But impossible things can become very possible after few days here on XDA
I suggest to wait few days, thing will become much more clear...
figured so
i flashed custom rom once and stucked with them tell the official release for my country appeared
don't want it to happen again
i think others who can say its possible means jb from cyanogeen or any based rom cause its built from scratch and its open source completely independent on official htc roms
Perhaps I am asking something that still doesn't have an answer. I am interested in purchasing this phone, but I am afraid because I don't know if there will be custom ROMs developed for it. I am interested in it because I don't usually upgrade my phone every few years.

Buy it if you like it, but custom roms will obviously be available and some custom roms have appeared

I am waiting for PE too.
Before anyone can develop a custom ROM we have to wait for the kernel sources to be released. It's hard to know when this will be as Xiaomi can be very slow sometimes, but I think it's a good sign that the F5 Pro/Redmi K60 kernel has been made available.
Wasn't that also the problem of the xiaomi 12 series? They're still waiting for that sources

I'm using that marble phone. As i know Until now, there isn't custom rom available yet.
For a while, i prefer to stay on original china rom. I still thinking about unlock the bootloader, because i don't have windows pc/laptop. It's complicated to installing eu rom on mac

You can actually flash the EU ROM because there's a new type for the flashable .zips where you can flash it on either a recovery or fastboot
