got Palm Treo 500v days ago, with Chinese Rom in it, which I really hate a lot. also got a Palm Treo 500v english rom(some friend dumps for me), and i've benn trying to get it in to mine.
Follows the problem: How Should I get it in?
I tried to press down+power, and succeeded in entering BL mode, top of the screen says:EBOOT Ver:V4.0.0 ExtROM:ENG, capture see below:

I tried the tool usbloader, get some pics
using "usbloader GalaxyII.nb0", seems everything goes on well, but nothing happens
been waiting for 45min, still nothing, so I cut the usb connection, get this
wondering How to get the Palm Treo 500v rom in!!
days trying almost drive me crazy, anybody helps, best regards

Try this way...
Get the .abi file extension (the new rom you want to put in) and copy on at least 1gb minisd card.
Put the minisd in the phone, put the full load battery in and push simultaneus power + D-pad down.
Start the bootloader that found the upgrade on minisd and start the upload.
Wait the complete upload and the reboot.
That's all.

Reading around in the net I found the review of a new phone: E-TEN M600, follow the link: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/E-TEN_M600.htm. They talk about a new software called INDEX DIAL. I am curious about it; it seems a cool tool. Any information about it? Does anybody know where it can be found? Thank you for your help. Paul.
Since you still haven't received any answers let me at least try to point you in the right direction.
ETEN M600 is not a new phone. It's been around for over a year and despite looking good on paper it had a ton of problems and needed constant ROM updates. I considered buying it my self when it first came out, but now I am glad I didn't.
The app you are talking about is a feature unique to this phone (ETEN bought / wrote the app and stuck it in ROM) and is not available for other phones. (At leas I haven't heard of a 3rd party app that does this)
Hoeven, programs have been extracted from the eten ROM. You should look in the ETEN specific forum (this board is mainly about HTC manufactured devices) maybe someone extracted the index dial.

how to create a link to this program?
YES!! I love this program: I installed it on my MDA (T-Mobile USA) and it works fine. My problem is how to create a link so that I can activate it fast. It doesn't show in the Programs, it doesn't show in the Items setting, nor in the Menus setting, nor can it be associated to any button. Any suggestion?

I have managed to upgrade to wm6.1 thanks to pdamobiz.com somphon_r etc. but I found it to be unstable, when I got a text it froze, when I made a phone call it froze etc. etc.....
My problem now is that I have tried to flash another version and it has gone horribly wrong, now I am left with the Blue Asus screen 'Rock Solid - Heart touching'. I can't get it to enter bootloader mode or even WMDC sync.
Can anyone get me out of this?

im sorry and thank you for reading this... but... i did a tweak... in the regedit(stupid me).. which made my diamond freeze at start up... and when i hard restarted it... it loaded the first time to just show menu at bottem and start at top but no programs what so ever.. i restarted it again to have it freeze at start up and its no longer even starting... and.. mine is unlocked... can some one assist me .. and its not syncing with my computer... if it did i was gonna attempt to install a new rom to see if it works but i have no clue where to go from here
Make sure your battery is not empty or recharge it if needed.
Then try a hard-reset again. If you do a real hard-reset the Diamond will offer an option to wipe out the memory in order to re-install the ROM. (Just to be sure we are talking about the same: pushing the reset-button does not make a hard-reset rather a soft-reset!)
If it still not working try to get to bootloader mode. From there you should be able to flash another ROM.

than stopp!!! dont restart, check if you can connect with activesync.
if yes, use progs. like CeRegEdit.exe. its a DESKTOP-PC-Program that connects to your diamond and you can change back the tweak per remote.

if you have problem to follow this instruction, than try to use searching.

Ok, I did som testing... When I start the updating it gets to 1 % Then i get ERROR 608 message. On the iPAQ it says "Digital sign mismatch".
Any ideas why?
To update iPAQ you need to use PRE-BL mode.
Contacts + iTask + Reset (with stylus)
Release when Pre-BL appers on screen or if You see just white screen
Connect USB cable or Cradle and push Calendar button to get connection with PC

Calendar + Messaging + Power + Reset (with stylus)
Release when Formatting PS.. appers on screen

This forum is fantastic, but I gotta say its SO big with so much information, I find I've spent an hour or more just trying to find the right information, and even then I feel lost.
I recently tried Slim-t0lte, but I used the wrong ROM which was the N7100 when I have a GT- N7105 device. Lost all ability to make and receive calls and worst of all I lost my 64GB MicroSD card. Photo's, music, files the lot - gone!
That was a couple of days ago and since then I've done a lot of reading and have somewhat rectified the situation.
I am now using Slim-t0lte-4.2.2.build.7.2-WEEKLY and its working great, ie. I can make and receive calls at least, and I had to go and buy a new 64GB MicroSD which set me back $70 dollars. Formatted the new SD card to Fat32 using GuiFormat and the device now see's my new 64GB drive which is great.
But here I am now with everything done and I am completely lost as to how to use this ROM. In the image below is the phone set up how I thought it would look when I loaded the ROM. But it doesn't look anything like that, so I had a play around in settings and I've got the Time, Weather up on the lock screen, but nothing else.

Also I downloaded Universal_SlimBean_theme_lockscreen_blue_bubble, Universal_SlimBean_theme_power_widgets_ics_blue, Universal_SlimBean_theme_powermenu_ics_blue and Universal_SlimBean_theme_settings_ics_blue. I installed them all through CWM but I can't find a way to load them so I can see how how they look.
My question (after all the background info above) is there a how to, a video or something which shows the features of SlimBean that a novice user like me can watch so I can begin to navigate this great looking ROM and access its features?
