MDA Vario - Bricked?

Hi,
I recently tried to upgrade my MDA VArio from WM5 to WM6 but was having a few problems. I finally managed to install the official T Mobile upgrade from: http://www.tm-phonedownloads.com/download_manager_mda_vario.html
but this only brought the phone up to WM5 with the following radio versions:
IPL - 2.21
SPL - 2.21
OS - Can't remember this (I think it may have been 2.19)
Anyway, try as I may, I could get any of the following updates to work,
Crossbow Reloaded v1.5
TNT 4.0 Professional
XDA Mobile 6.0
TouchNoEvil_4Mb
XDA Mobile 6 r2a
XM6r3
Wizard Love
Each time I tried one of these upgrades, I would get a failure message at 99% of the conversion (various errors for each of the different ROM's)
 ERROR [302~318] : UPDATE ERROR
 ERROR [320~328] : INVALID COMMAND
 ERROR [300] : INVALID UPDATE TOOL
Each time i would re-flash the phone to the official T-Mobile ROM. I finally tried to do the following, use
Real Radio 2.611
Which did actaully work, but then I went for the following
XM6r3
and I had a power failure on my pc half way through! My phone stopped respoding to any commands (had the progress bar on screen stuck at 50%) so i took th battery out and since then I get nothing - nada!
I thought that I had maybe completely drained the battery, but my MDA won't even charge up now, please help, i am desperate to get this working again - if possible

First, plz always read ,search in the forum for your problems.
secondly, always post in the correct forum and thread.
As I see from your post you have been going around the forum downloading and trying to upgrade to wm6 rom with different custom builds and were unsuccessful,why...? cuz you did not read and follow the right procedure for upgrading, the first and foremost requirement to upgrade to any wm6 upgrade is to have your device sim/cid unlocked, only after sim/cid unlock you are able to upgrade, otherwise you'll fail and might in the process "BRICK" your phone.
from your vital data of your MDA it's a G3 DOC chip ,so check out the following link and carry out the procedure to unlock and than upgrade, good luck

HELP Error [246] Device not responding (Not the typical version of error)

Hi Guys
I have read all the threads and support messages re: Error [246] Device not responding. And mine is different.
I first experienced this problem after I flashed Pays 1.45 Lite after previously installing Pays 1.45 Full. When i try to flash any ROM (not just Pays) I get an "Error [246] Device not responding" message.
Unlike other Error [246] Device not responding problems my bootloader tricolor screen does not come up on my Hermes. I have tried, reinstalling Active Synce, Hard and Soft Resetting, Restarting the bootloader SSPL and still no resolution of the problem.
Sorry bring this problem to bear but it is different to your typical "Error [246] Device not responding " problem and it is driving me batty. the ROM i currently have installed works (Pays 1.45 Lite) and my USB syncs with active sync fine.
Any ideas what the problems could be? I am tempted to drown the hermes in holy water atm to make sure it isn't demonic possession ;(
Any help would be appreciated ;p
Quick update:
I used Force using Safe SSPL for installing ROMS in the past with no problems. It is using this method that I get the 246 Error.
Other methods used gain different errors:
SPL1.04/1.10 - SPL1.09 Bootloader = Error 260 Update Error (check phone attached to usb cable and computer - which it is)
SPL1.11/1.13/1.20/1.35/1.40 Bootloader = 1% complete progress the error 270 Update Error (file image is corrupted) NO MATTER WHAT ROM I USE.
SPL2.02/2.10/2.30 New Bootloader = error 270 as above
Bootloader Screen Reads:
HERM100
IPL-1.01
HERM100
SPL-2.03
I have successfully flashed about 4-5 roms before without experiencing this problem. I have made no changes to my device or my PC. I don't know what could have caused this to happen all of a sudden and out of the blue.
Could a moderator please move this to Hermes Upgrading etc section please?
Have you tried installing the latest Olipro Hardspl v7.... it will read as v2.10 which is a later release than the v2.03 that you have... it will also fix any bad blocks on your device and you should be fine after that...

can't flash artemis, uspl not running correctly

hi there.
this is my first post, and unfortunately, it is asking for help..
i recently bought a artemis, and the last couple days i've been searching on roms, both cooking and flashing.
i've tested a couple roms, from vanilla to touch, b&b and others, every single one without a problem. for all of them i've user XP sp2 in a virtual machine (VMWare). everything went ok, cid unlocking and flashing the roms perfectly, and as i finally decided to cook my own rom, i started looking for generic roms from htc, to see what they looked like, so i could had a better understanding on how to cook a good rom to settle my needs.
unfortunately, i flashed a rom, don't now for sure wich, but it's from o2, and from that moment on, i could not flash anymore.
every time i try to run the uspl, i can't get the spl to 1.11.000. it stays on 3.07.000.
i've tried running several times in a row the uspl, then flashing, tried flashing a generic rom, hardspl, arte and uspl, tried running the .nbh from the sd with no success (although there seems to be a fix for that, will try that tomorrow), tried getting into boot and flashing.
but the funny thing is, in the uspl, when it is running, and reaches 70% it jumps to 100%.
and whenever i try to flash it, obviously, i get the error 270 update error.
so, after that, any ideas? the artemis is running smoothly, without a problem, although not with its original rom, and locked to a different provider (it's cid locked to vodafone portugal)
thanks in advance
edit: i've had the chance to test the sd flashind, again, with no result
no ideas anyone?
nevermind, managed to get over it.
used an upgrade from the htc in the language my pda is locked. solve it
I have the same problem. I am working with it !

Fatal error

sorry if i posted in the wrong spot but i recently bought a tilt 2 from att and i tried to flash my rom. Everytime i try i get a fatal error sayin either my phones needs to be connected to actvisync which it is, it synced, but it still doesnt let me flash ma rom. could you please help me
Have you got HardSPL on your phone ? You won't be able to flash a custom ROM, or even an official ROM if it's not meant for exactly your model/branding of phone, unless you've got HardSPL.
