City Location Codes:
For anyone that needs to find their city code, use this link and change the location in this url to the name of your city and then go to it and it will give a list of all cities worldwide that have that name. Get your location from there and enter it exactly as it appears in the quotes, but do not use the quotes.
http://hadle.accu-weather.com/widget/hadle/city-find.asp?location=calcutta
So, for this link above, if you were looking for Calcutta, India. Go to this link, and you will see a line like this:
<location cnt="1" city="Calcutta" state="India(Bangla)" location="ASI|IN|IN036|CALCUTTA" />
So your location to enter in to options would be :
ASI|IN|IN036|CALCUTTA
This should work for cities worldwide.

There should be a way , since ppc's have animated weather icons using flash.

the currentcondition icon 3 is way too small on the default .cpr, can u make it bigger?

I think this is for landscape version only. Do you have plans to release a portrait version ?

I think Kron2 is going to make the portrait cpr for it, give us a few days and portrait support should be ready.

there's a couple issues here... When I dial out it displays some of the text from the weather app on the dial screen, like Current Conditions: Dialing: Mom.
Also, is it really necessary to display cloud coverage percentages with 5 decimal places of precision? Makes no sense... 0 decimals of precision is fine. in case you were wondering our current cloud cover is 93.59341% :/

Weird that you got that precise of a cloud cover number. I've never seen it display any decimals at all. Must be the accuweather feed for your area. I can add a round command just to make sure it doesn't happen anymore. The weather loop uses operater name text field, so it show
anywhere your network name would normally be.

I'll say sorry first because this is a noob question. I have a Axim x51v, will this program work on it. I installed as instructed but when I try to open feather weather options from start it say to launch the program first. Any help would be appreciated. The program looks sweet & I would like to use it. Thanks.

It requires windows mobile 6.1 standard to work with sliding panel homescreen. I'm not familiar with specs of x51v, but if its touchscreen, chances are it runs wm pro, not standard.

[Dec 17]WPC: WallPaper Changer-Added Directory and Weather support

Here's a wallpaper changer that will auto change at user set intervals with user's wallpaper. In options is the option to start it, stop it, set the number of wallpaper you want to include, the time interval in hours for the change, and which wallpaper directory to use.

You will need a folder(anyname) filled with your wallpapers you want to use. After WPC install, place this wallpaper folder inside the WPC folder. It should work with any number of backgrounds, they just have to be inside a folder within the WPC folder and numbered in order starting with 1.jpg up to your chosen number. There are zip files below with some random wallpapers I put together. With option 3(Set Number), you can also set them to change in order(linear) or randomly.
To install:
1- Download and run cab file. It can be installed to main memory or storage card, wherever is convenient. If you don't already have mortscript installed, then you will need to reboot now to register extentions.
2- It won't work using default background in Settings\Display\Homescreen, so choose any other background in that option now if your still using default wm background.
3- Go to Start Menu and choose WPCoptions
4- Set wallpaper directory to use. When selecting directory, number of wallpaper is set automatically, but can be changed to a different number using option 3.
5- Set the update interval in hours, can be from 1 to ?.
6- Choose option 1, Start Wallpaper Changer
7- Thats it, first change should happen immediately and changes take about 5 seconds, but they run in background.
I've added support for FeatherWeather with this version also. If anyone wants another weather app supported, post here or pm me.
For FeatherWeather users that want weather activated wallpaper, download the Feather.zip below. Unzip and place Feather folder into WPC folder. Take the Feather.mscr and overwrite the original in FeatherWeather folder.
Thanks to roloracer for this idea, and for extended testing on his device.
Ver .2 - Initial release.
Ver .3 - Added directory support

It should uninstall when you install the new one. And your options should still be saved to registry, you will just need to change number of wallpaper.

Cool, can wait to install the final version GREAT WORK.
Very Cool I'll have to check try this out!
This is great!
Been looking for something like this. I ran across one thing though, since it uses the FacadeRefresh.exe my colors that I set with AutoBaseHue were getting reset to default after every wallpaper change.
I added these two lines in the WPC.mscr:
Sleep(10000)
Run("\Windows\StartUp\ABHSetter.exe")
These were added at line 61 which is:
RunAt(timestamp()+(usertime*3600),instPath&"\WPC.mscr")
The 10 seconds gives the screen time to reload and then changes the color back to whatever it was before. This will only work if you have AutoBaseHue installed. I posted this earlier at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2969690&postcount=8
Not really a problem, but an annoyance for me, thanks for the script and the wallpapers.
Pretty cool. I want to use animated wallpapers though a la Windows Media Center and Windows Dreamscenes.

Nice find, thanks for the info, I'll post update later this week. I use a scheme file for the solid black bars, so I didn't notice that.
Here's a christmas wallpaper pack for anyone feeling festive They're already numbered 1 to 29 for use. Just copy your current wallpapers into a folder for backup before placing these in WCP folder.
Very nice. Installed a couple of hours ago and been enjoying my changing wallpaper since Gonna install the xmas pack too. Thanks show, and to all testers too.

I don't know what rom you're using, or if the autobasehue that you're talking about was added to your phone as an app, but when I was testing the WPC, I had different colors on my basehue , different .xml , different .dll files and a modified .cpr and the only thing that changes is the wallpapers, nothing else. Were you using a default background when you started it ?
Showaco: Great job on the xmas papers.
Just tried it looks great works fine so far.
P.S. I had a fun time finding the WPC folder lol but eventually found it.
Happy Festivas!
Thanks everyone for the feedback, glad to hear its working correctly. I'm adding a few new features, the main one being able to use wallpaper folders so its easy to switch to different wallpaper packs in just a few seconds. It also automatically sets the number of wallpaper when you switch to a new icon pack(although you can still manually set number). Here's a couple of screenshots showing new option and selection screen.
I'm also going to add a weather wallpaper pack that will update based on current weather/time of day. Its using FeatherWeather, but it can be also set up for NRG miniweather if someone wants to get with me and help me iron out the details for it.

[THE]*UPDATE*[01-10-09] Black Magic by Zal (TF3D & S2U2 & 15-Tabs)

Ok this is my very first attempt at working with manila/themes! So like please don't shout at me if I get anything wrong (also it's my first ever post ) All advice/suggestions are welcome!
While this might look like the Sprint Theme from NisseDILLIGAF, it is not. It is, however, inspired by the Sprint theme. The only thing I did actually use is some of the neon icons but I created some new ones. Including a shiney red one for the stock tab. Also Calendar and Sound Settings icons for 15-Tabs version.
Everything else I made from scratch in Photoshop. I created a new tab-sliderbar similar to the Sprint one because the original did not work well on the HD. (as can be seen here)
My version:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
(I'm particularly happy with the little funky light sparkles)
I found a way to use full-sized high quality images in the tf3d Home tab and also have a semi-transparent slider bar in all tabs. Which means you can see the HQ background through the slider in all tabs! (make sure you have default wallpaper set in tf3d settings.. i.e. no wallpaper)
I might do some more work on the clock because i'm not 100% happy with it yet. There are lots of other little mods you'll have to see for yourself
Got the battery fire effect from Godzon's Battery and modded it to work properly on Touch HD.
Oh and the flowery brush used for the wallpaper I got from here.
I made it into a cab for easy install/uninstall. (remember to soft-reset after installation)
*** NEW cab that includes 15 tabs and the 15 tab manila hack ***
*** Reserved ***
Cool theme, will be trying this out.
Yeah... excellent work, dude.
Amaizing work ! Looks great ! Going to use this..
I REALLY like that you have made it into a cab file.. every theme should be like this.. Perfect !!!
great work man, one of the best themes here.
Some suggestions for future updates :
1. Make a 15 tabs version. with complet icons set.
2. Add a new font to the mix.
3. Skin for throttlelock.
4. Custom wallpaper for weather tab.
Thanks for all the positive comments This is just the first of many more themes to come!

Some really good suggestions here. I'll definitely make a 15 tab version and I'll have to play around with fonts as I haven't tried that yet on the HD. I've created a few fonts in the past so hopefully I can come up with something original.
I Haven't actually tried out the throttlelock program yet as S2U2 works so well. But I'll give it a go today and hopefully make a skin for it!
Currently it's not possible to have a different wallpaper for individual tabs. However, I'm gonna work a bit on the graphics used on the weather tab.
Zal, Nice Theme!
Just wondering how you managed to create your custom icons in the phone?
Im trying to download a few png files that i want and cant find any info on how to just change these?

Hi gbds, the process is outlined here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blackstone_Custom
Best to read the entire page, but basically you have to copy all the files ending in _manila from your phones windows folder (using explore in active sync) and then use Manila Editor to insert new png images into the manila files and copy them back to the phone Hope this helps.

I made a 15 tab version! I've updated the cab file. So just uninstall the old one and download/reinstall the new one and it should give you nice icons for all 15 tabs
Let me know if it looks ok to you, I tested it and it seems to work well.
Great job,thank you!!

Nope, you need to have S2U2 installed before you install this theme. Currently the cab just replaces the wallpaper in S2U2. (The clock shown in the S2U2 screenshots is just the standard small one found in the clock-pack which you can download on the S2U2 website.)
Oh and uninstalling the theme puts back the original S2U2 wallpaper
Do I have to install the 15 tab from the other thread 1st?
Or your cab files already include the 15 tab and the respective icons?

15 tab cab first. I only included the icons for 15 tabs and not the 15-tab-hack, in case people don't want to use 15 tabs.
you have just made me think though. Maybe I should have 2 cabs available for download. One with just the normal tabs and one that has the 15 icons and the hack included in it hmmmm.
Cool theme !
At first, I really wasn't convinced with the flowers brush next to the neon icons. Reason is you can't change the background to fit both neon & flowers styles
But then I found it quite unique.. I loved it
Keep up the good work
Very very nice!
I like the original Black&White theme but wanted a touch of color in it without replacing the whole thing. well, using neon colors for the current selected tab is just perfect!
The colored flowery background is subtle and very nice too, If we could have more different choice of pattern for that background it would be even better.
I might do some more work on the clock because i'm not 100% happy with it yet.

I agree on that point, the problem is that because of the transparency the flipping animation when the time change doesn't look so good, and we can't see "PM" or "AM". How does it look with the original clock?
I'm using the 15 tabs version but maybe you can provide a separate 11 tabs version.
Also it'd be nice to separate the customization for s2u2 from the TF3D cab.
Same if you do the Throttle Lock.
Is it technically possible to slightly animate things like the light sparkles, or the glowing of the neon?
Thanks again for your work, it truly awesome!!

no it not, at me there are 3 icons. And i downloaded that themes but nothing has changed, that impossible stuff is still there.
have been testing your ROM for a day or so & I have listed a few things below as a general feedback.
One of the issues i have is that when assigning images to the people tab, the images are not resized correctly. They are way too big!
I have to go back into the contact & edit the manually by re-selecting the photo a second time. It's not a big issue, just annoying one.
The letter selector on the contacts list is a little jumbled which means the letters are not shown cleanly.
With the tabs on the home screen i really like the text being used however the white shading used at the top half of the tab makes the text a little hard to read in certain light conditions.
Also are you considering releasing a LITE version without the rarely used apps like MS office, Java, MP3 Trimmer, games? Looking for more speed
Generally its a good first attempt as it appears quite stable & reasonbly quick.
well done. looking forward to more releases
cheers

no there are 4 icons in programs tab
and that "impossible" thing is the part of the theme so maybe you should look for some skinner to help you
even i will try to look at that

[v1.5] Home Screen Customizer on Marketplace

Introducing "Home Screen Customizer" - A finger friendly app available on Marketplace that allows you to customize your Titanium home screen.
v1.5 Screenshots (Showing new Favorite Apps/MRU panel on the right):
This app allows you to rearrange the home screen panels to your liking by simply press & hold then drag the panels around (See left most screenshot). You can also add additional panels or remove existing panels.
Download
The app is on US Marketplace under Tools category. Or use keyword "home screen" to search for it.
The app is also available in many other regions. If I have translation for a language, then it's likely available in that region. Note that v1.5 is not yet available outside US but will be rolled out as Microsoft approves the app for other regions.
If it's not available in your region, you can still switch your Marketplace application to US English or another region that has the app in order to download the Customizer.
Changelog for v1.5:
- Fix for Omnia II
- Fix to stop TARecordExecution message from coming up
- Some minor fixes for search panel
- More translations: Czech, Spanish, and Dutch
- Maybe other stuff that I forgot
For Developers:
If you submit your panel to Marketplace or want to plug into my app's experience, I have built in plugin capability so that you can show an Add form and an Edit form in the UI.
Just download the app from Marketplace and copy \Program Files\Home Screen Customizer\TitaniumAlloyPlugin.dll to PC to be referenced in your .Net CF project.
Please see the attached zip file for a sample of how to implement an Add form to be shown when user adds a panel to their home screen and an Edit form for when user wants to configure something already on their home screen.

Nice job, I'll try it for sure
edit:
Works like a charm, thanks!
Error
I get an Error when running this application says "An unexpected error has occurred in TitaniumAlloy.exe" Any ideas?
If you're not in US, please try the following:
Go to Start->Settings->System->Regional Settings
Change region to "English (United States)"
Reboot
See if you can find it on Marketplace now
Go back to Regional Settings to change back to original value

Somebody emailed and told me there seems to be problems with Imagio. Is that the device you're using?
I'll have to do some investigation to figure out why, maybe go to a store and play with the device or something.

I saw on a forum somebody said those steps might work for non-US markets, but I guess it does not. I'll go figure out the right steps for it to work and report back when I have something.
Love the app. Got it from the Windows Marketplace. I had been using chome editor, but this interface is less complex and user friendly. Not sure if your looking for feedback, but I'll offer some anyway .
I like the contacts panel, but it displays companies rather than person's name as the default. If the company field is empty, then it defaults to name. I think having the name always as the default would be more popular. Just my 2cents. Thanks for the great app.

After changing your location you should reinstall the Marketplace - it worked for me.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I can see why you'd want the name always since these are your favorite contacts and are probably close friends or family.

Thanks! By the way, I updated the first post to include instruction on how to make weather panel work for Non-US cities.
For Melbourne, you'd use "wc:ASXX0075"
just found your app through the marketplace. the weather and contacts tab was the only thing that I missed from touchflo3d, now my home screen looks just like I want to
it works great! I tried showaco's chome editor before with no luck.
the only thing missing (for me) is an opera favorites panel (or just launch opera instead of internet explorer from the favorites panel) and the search panel also opens internet explorer by default, I would like it to open opera.
thanks for your work
I'm also getting the Titaniumalloy.exe bug but I'm using a touchpro2 with mighty rom.
Really a nice app! With the MarketPlaceRegionSwitch it was easy to install on a German device.
Just one Problem so far: The weather plugin shows the temperature in °F. How do I switch to °C? And german texts would also be nice...

To switch it to celsius:
Run Home Screen Customizer
Select "weather"
Press "Edit"
Press "Menu"
Press "Celsius"
Press "Save"
As for translation to other languages, I could use some help Google and Bing's machine translations are not good enough.

Thanks for the info. But wouldn't it be better to place this setting on the page (below the zipcode) instead of "hiding" it in the menu?
Regarding the translation: I can try to help you. Just post the string file(s) here or send it/them to me (the address is on my website).
Marketplace doesn't think this is for Sprint TP2?
On my desktop, it says I've 'bought' Customizer, but it doesn't have it to download on my phone. It doesn't find it when I search for it either. And yes, I'm set for US English, though at one point on desktop it thought I was in Australia?
Thoughts?

Thanks Peter. I agree with you. In general I'd like the UI to be better, but right now the weather panel UI is just what I had time to put together. I have some offers for doing translation, and I still need to put together all the strings being used when I get a chance. Once I have that complete list then I can seek out more help for translation. Thanks!

[THEME][MDPI] Evangelion SH06D-NERV - Tutorial [HD-version out now]

Information:
Read the information within the spoiler tag and follow the tutorial before posting any questions!
I'm proud to present the Evangelion SH06D-NERV Theme. Made especially to run smooth on our ace.
This will of course work on other devices but some widgets are scaled to match our screen specifically.
See their promo commercial here: http://youtu.be/Ouf4LfIxuo8
If you saw my previous thread about discontinuing this project, that was just an excuse to get some peace
and to work on my own pace! (http://goo.gl/lYiYu)
There are a lot of steps so I'm gonna try to keep this tutorial short and simple.
One of the solution was by making a video tutorial on how to setup the widgets,
you will still have to keep on reading since the video tutorial doesn't cover all the areas.
Keep in mind that one of the apps (ADW Launcher Ex) used here is a paid app.
(Which is why I didnt made this into a rom instead)
*note* this works just as well on holo launcher (if you have overlap enabled, don't remember if it's only available on the pro verions).
Lockscreen and Widgets:
The lockscreen is animated and interactive, the same goes for most of the widgets as well.
You're able to customize what app the widget should load up by adding a "hotspot" in UCCW.
Right now the widgets are set to:
Clock: Tapping the digits will start "Alarm Clock Xtreme Free"
Calendar: the same goes for the upper part of the calendar (UNIT ALERT!). If you activated a alarm time it will be shown under "UNIT ALERT!". Tapping the date area will bring you to the native calendar app.
SD CARD: Brings you to Samsungs "Task Manager"
Battery: none set
User phone no: none set
Weather: tapping the lower part of the widget brings you to the native CM7 "News and Weather" app.
CPU: The CPU widget actually shows the current battery, temperature and week of the year. Tapping it will open up the SetCPU app.
Volume bars: Send you to the app where you're able to change the volume. Try putting the volume down using the volume rockers and see the bars move.
Tutorial:
1. Download all the zip files down below and install the APKs from
the "APK_Modified_NBT". The Wifi Toggle widget is optional.
2. Import all the widgets themes from "UCCW_THEMES" folder to UCCW,
press the setting buttons for more options.
Open up Minimalistic Text and import the respective theme, "SD.STORAGE".
2.5. I added the Google Search Bar as a UCCW theme, download it from the second post and import it as well.
(skip this step)
3. And the reason why we're going to apply the CM7 Theme "MIUI4_NBT" afterwards
is because of the bug that it brings us. You're unable to read the folder names in UCCW after applying
the MIUI4 Theme. Apply the CM7 theme by opening the theme app and chose "Apply" -> "Apply anyway".
(CM9 Users: Link)
4.ADW Launcher Ex settings:
Use 4x4 grid on your launcher. UI settings -> Screen preference -> Desktop Columns/Rows (set to 4 on both).
On the same page, disable "Show desktop indicator", enable "overlap widgets"
Change your dock, Themes Preference -> Main dock (choose).
Reflections, UI settings-> Main dock -> Enable Dock (it should be on), on the same page, Reflections (on)
Transistion, General Behavior -> Animation effect -> Screen transition effect -> Zoom.
On the same page Desktop scrolling speed 200<450, desktop bounce 0
Wallpaper scrollning should be on (disable if you experience lagg when swiping through pages).
5. Follow the video instructions that put I together:
http://youtu.be/EvuBHD49qw4
6. Open up MiLocker and apply the theme "NERV_ONLY_NBT"
I put another alternative if you have Widgetlocker, it's more lightweight and smoother.
7. Show your appreciation by giving feed back!

Tips/review:
If you for some reason find it slow, try disable the wallpaper scrolling, using governors (smartassv2 in general).
If that doesn't work try using a RAM script, eg. v6 Supercharger.
Galaxy Ace users can also read this.
You should be able to use this theme without any lagg, post in this thread to seek solutions.

Great!
It is better than Glaeja, Thanks for sharing!
But it seems not suitable for resolution 480*800

I think it is because UCCW has no anti-aliasing option
I'm doing all of this as we speak on my OV One question though, what font are you using in the screenshots?
EDIT: AudioManager was causing MAJOR lag on my phone, is that normal? If so, is there another way to use a similar volume app/skin for the volume widget?

The widget is pretty light itself, so i wonder why the lagg? Does it at least look good when scaled on your screen? I could make a widget using tokaplot instead, but you're gonna get this kind of graphic, i will remove the text and make it look cleaner than the screenshots found on the play store.
The font your probably refering to is "bebas_neue". You will easily find it with a google search.
There is like 3 other font used as well x)
Hey you finally did it! Kudos!
