If you want to install the different color call progress background to match your color theme, i have included that in each color theme zip! example: if you install the black Carousel and want the black call progress background, you will find a file called "HTC_CallProgressBkg_320x186.bmp" in the Carouselblack.home.zip, copy that file to your phone's windows directory and reboot, thats it, same with the other colors, if you want red you will find "HTC_CallProgressBkg_320x186.bmp" in the Carouselred.home.zip and so on...

I like the theme a lot as well as the tweaks, but I had to turn smarttoolkit off because while it's awesome it sometimes freezes or doesn't respond. Great job on the theme though, it'd be nice if you could reach the com manager from the main screen and if it had a quick launch.

are you using the version i have uploaded? ive been using it for 2 days now and it works flawlessly , did not freeze or stop responding on me at all.

good idea, i can add another line to the bottom of the theme under missed calls, maybe it will say "ComManager" or something like that, but how do i just add a text link to it?

Using it now. Looks great. The only thing is that the time and date look out of place on the left, at least compared to the great look of the right side of the homescreen.
I've also had issues with smarttoolkit but I'll give this version a try.

Hello Aldech, can i just ask, can this theme be used on the HTC Elf (wm6) sorry if this is a silly question

no, it can not, this is only a smartphone theme, it doesnt work on a touch screen win mobile, unless there is a way to implement it that i dont know of

Having problems with smarttoolkit again, can't read text messages. The list of text messages comes up but it won't open any of them. Also if i select messages on the desktop, battery information comes up.

how can i make it so smarttoolkit starts up when my phone starts up?

wired i dont have problems with mine at all, im using the HTC rom and so far smartoolkit been working great for the past 3 days now

Yea, I used the version you uploaded. Its a really nice program but on my dash for some reason it would freeze and certain things wouldn't work sometimes. I'll try it again now that I'm using the HTC rom and the phone is generally running smoother. I hope you keep working on this theme, it's one of the best I've seen.

This is the reason everybody took the SmarToolKit off their device in the beta stage of development. It's still doing the Mr. Freeze!

FANTASTIC THEME!
I am really enjoying using it....
I do have one request/suggestion....
On the home screen, could you make the highlight of what "section" you are in more apparent?
i.e. The switch between Profile, Messaging, and Missed Calls.
If you can make it more apparent which one the cursor is on would be a HUGE improvement. The highlight doesn't seem to be much of a delta between the one you are on and the one you are not on.... The "Messaging" one doesn't even change when you are "on it"

i can but if i do, when you highlight for example profile or missed calls, if i make them bigger, they will be out of place, i will give it a shot when i get home and let you know, and for the messaging part, the work "messaging" is actually just a picture with the background its not really active.

IMO, you might want to look at removing "messaging" from the wallpaper and make it part of the home screen so it can be highlighted by either changing colors or making it bold. That would also open up changing wallpaper but keeping your layout.

**UPDATE - Ok. Well. Installed it, ran the .cab. Rebooted. Now it just sits on the Windows Mobile boot screen. Haven't given it a WHOLE lot of time yet, but ActiveSync won't pick up the phone so I can't reinstall the ROM. Any suggestions?

Just install some original ROM (from your brand) with the bootloader mode, and then you can install latest WM 6.1.. and don't play stupid games anymore
The default res is perfect to me... on VGA everything will become more small and unreadable .

I got it back up. (That's what she said! Haha!) Anyways, back to 6.1 the way I had it. Would like to get the resolution better though or at least try it just to see what it looks like.

Just changed a 2 registry values and my phone works fine in the higher resolution (been about 30 seconds, so far so good)
heres the ones u need to change from the VOX thread
Change [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\ Display\GPE\LogicalPixelsY] and LogicalPixelsX to 96 in decimal
when not on the homescreen using the colored battery indicator icons and such the icons don't show, they posted dll's for that in the VOX forum and I'm trying them out now, I'll let you all know.

thats it...just changed those two values, rebooted and it worked...issues with STK and the top white icons but the homescreen works fine and the phone itself works fine, biggest issue is with the system icons, if anyone knows how to mess with DLLs and is trying this out I would love the fixes to those issues. Because it looks a lot better this way.
Oh and I highly suggest if you go over to the VOX thread DO NOT install any of those cabs, they forced me to restore my phone...twice because I had to try it again from a fresh boot.

works like a charm, but there are issues in display of icons (look rough) and the top bar displays white squares.
I switched back, did not stick to spot the other issues, hope it will be resolved soon so we could all enjoy a better looking screen (more items visible)

The start menu now contains 3 rows with 5 icons each. So more icons are displayed at a time. For some reason, only 2 icons are displayed on each screen, though, so 3rd row has only 2 icons...

Dudes. This just makes icons and text smaller .
If you don't believe me - try with some white sqare - 200X200px and see it on a diferent "resolutions" - its the same .
This makes text unreadable... its too small for me.

i can read the text fine. everything is fine for me, I'm just looking/waiting for a fix with the system icons, but I can deal with them. I had my phone on for like 12 or so hrs now and no ill effects as of yet. So yea...we'll see.

Yah, I just tried the RegEdit and all my icons look like crap. It would be nice if we could get this resolution without the icons looking jagged, the black bar on the bottom of the screen, and the white squares on top.

Alphanuma 1.0 — Dial with Style.

Completely replace the carrier and MS branding on the dialer, outgoing call and incoming call screens with Alphanuma 1.0 When you are placing a call, or trying to remember which numbers to use to spell someone's name in a voicemail system, glance at the top of the screen to see the classic touch tone letter guide (since it isn't printed on the s620).
Example 2 abc - 3 def - 4 ghi - 5 jkl - 6 mno - 7 pqrs - 8 tuv - 9 wxyz​
The graphics are seamless (no wigglies!) from screen to screen, including the optional wallpaper.
Contents of the cabinet:
Replacement for the small banner that says "smartphone" on an unbranded HTC, or shows the Carrier's graphic logo on most branded models.
Even smaller replacement for the carrier's text on the screen that comes up when you your call is connecting/connected.
Backgrounds for both the incoming call/ring and outgoing call/connected, with color changes, since the two screens have opposite text color. Backgrounds include the same aligned numeric guide, so that it appears consistent, even where a contact photo or other graphic might cause the carrier logo replacement to clip.
Registry key to make sure that the phone looks for the right file for the dialer screen, in case you want to use it on a branded phone, though it works by default on ROMs based on an unbranded HTC image.
A matching, text-less homescreen wallpaper in \Applications\Home, for optional use.
Known issues:
You must reboot (soft-reset) to use. Sometimes the installation tells you this, sometimes it doesn't!
Sometimes it is listed in the remove programs menu, even after removal.

LOL, I just can't get down with the current slim styles, and have been trying to perfect Alphanuma, as well as find/tune decent art that is legal to use, the last few days instead of playing with Cpanel tweaks. I would actually like one with shadow sized panels, weather in a tab, change-on the fly panel colors, and automatic detection of most called ppl, most visited links and a MRU but I'm a looo-o-o-o-o-oong way from figuring even a tiny bit of all that out.

Cool, I'm really glad it has a fan, since it took a while. I originally just wanted a plain dialpad, but then I had to expand to all the above because it kept changing if the person had a contact thumb or not, and if they called me instead.
I will make some more, since I've got the base image in layers, smart guides measured, and a complete action set stored. I need at least one that is more tech and one that is hot. And maybe something artsy.
Hope I never switch to a portrait phone!

I'll investigate setup.dll.
I attempted to use WinCE Cab Manager, but I'll just say it doesn't like my computer.
UPDATE: I think that is the PPIC nagbox. For now, I am going to focus on the artwork side, will look for another Cab solution later.

Here... I removed setup.dll from your cab and now it JUST installs your artwork in the correct directories (mostly /windows )

Put up a deep red theme, with some tricky gradients between the screens.
It looks like there is only 8 attachments allowed. Per Post? I reduced the number of thumbnails to allow more styles, but I may have to hijack the top of Post 3.

Last one for the night. Boy, this sure would look good with dark cpanels between brown text and the background!

Secondly, and I hope it´s not too much to ask for, but would you be so kind to make 2 .cab files with the attached images as background, using the dialpad from the Clouds set or another one you find more suiting (from your posts, I can see you have very good taste! ).
Both photos I took in my honeymoon in Greece (Santorini) and I use them as my background/wallpaper, alternating...

Profezza would it be possible for you to come up with a cab that returns the alpha numeric dialing? you know dialing 1-800-get-mine actuallys dials 1-800-438-6463 so that there is not even a need for the alpha numeric keypad to be displayed? Or if someone can point me in the right direction I would be willing to put this app together.

So..i have made great progress the last days to present you a beta version of Slidehome.
BIG THX to rotastrain for helping me out and giving me inspiration, without you i would have never made it that fast man!!
What is this?
To put it simple, it is a button which turns automatic wallpaper change on and off. nothing more, nothing less.
If you press the button, your wallpaper on the home screen will change every 5 minutes.
If you press the button again, the actual wallpaper stays.
Why Slidehome?
Because it is fully integrated in the TF3D environment. It uses the least ressources i can imagine for such a function and it does NOT slow down TF3D.
What you get in this package:
a new button in the Album Tab for turning it on and off
20 Wallpapers to get started
What you have to do for it to work:
- install the cab
- make a soft reboot
- choose one of the new wallpapers as Background (located in:My Device/Slidehome)
- press the button in the album tab and see the magic begin!
Things to know:
This thing has been tested on Smabergs Touch X (wm6.1)
You can change the 20 picture count to whatever you want now! if you make a custom list with x wallpapers, just change it to x! (HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila/hs_quant)
Of course you can replace any of these wallpapers with your own ones, if you rename them.
You can change the 5 minutes duration for a wallpaper change in the registry (HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila/Sliderange)
So..as this is a beta, please tell me if you have got problems with it and if u like it or not!

The title said it all, its all about changing backgrounds on the home tab. I wonder if anybode else has already done something like that before?! (i am sure i am not the first who came up with that idea *laughs*)
At the moment i have a few issues with the slider bar but we will see...!
So it would be cool if you guys tell me your thoughts about this project and contact me if you would like to beta test it or contribute in whatever kind of way! (i have never build a cab before or so but i think i can figure that out )

I make good progress and if i can resolve one issue regarding requiring a lua file i can put out a beta version this evening!!!

If anyone could provide help there..please do! I would like to call a function from an embedded lua of another mode9 file in a lua from a different mode9.....so i would have to include this embedded lua in whatever kind of way...could anyone tell me how to pull that off?...simply including the mode9 name doesnt work..
or any workaround to achieve that effect?..ty fellas!

It messed up my Rhodium homepage. The album shows an extra button but none of my photos show up like it did before. Seems like it doesn't support TF3D2 for me. Anyone else experieneces this?

I appologize for not reading the heading correctly. This app is intended for X1 only. I used it on my Sprint Touch pro running WM6.5 with TF3D2.
Great concept! I think you're the first to develope this for Manila interface. Any chance to support other platforms such Touch Pro or Diamond?

i am afraid im not..as stated in my first post
of course i could try to write it for another version i guess, but you can try the other program out there first!..just search the forums for diamond background changer.
my implementation is more like a mod and that one is more like an app i guess.

it doesn't work for me. i'm running touch X 10.1.
i have the button in the album tab, but the wallpaper doesn't change and there isn't the registry entry

not even the registry entry?!...that would mean the cab didnt install correctly from the beginning i guess?..
please try the new cab i will make..probably tomorrow...!

hey man, i have looked up the rom u are using and i guess for the new topaz 2.03 it would be quite some work to port it over.
If there is demand for it i will think about porting it to the new version!

across the bottom of the topaz, and i think a few other new htc's there is a horizontal region that is touch sensitive, its used to zoom in photo gallery and opera etc.
just had a play with both the versions of your fullscreen and i have to say that they're bloody amazing. I'm preferring the one without the retractable manila as it is a little buggy for me (understandably). there is enough room to have the slider there constantly.
the only things ive noticed so far, and you probably have noticed them yourself is that when you hit the 'end' key on the home tab the task bar appears, on other tabs the task bar appears briefly before the home tab refreshes over the top. (on further inspection the task bar stays there when you hit the end key whilst on the contacts screen, disappears when hitting end on others)
also there is an issue with swiping from the camera tab to the music tab, ie using the middle of the screen not the slider. didnt notice a problem going from weather back to music though.
im not trying to be critical as i understand its the first release. just some friendly observations on my first use.
i figure your next step is possibly aligning things, however that extra space created between the slider and the rest of the content would suit a notification area (battery, signal, missed calls etc)

i would suggest this screen to be permanent.. is there any chance to do that... permanently so that only if i wish it would get changed..??????
the only thing i hate in winmo with tf3d is bottom and top bar..
when its necessary i would better think about option to get bottom bar..
And is that bug or what? wallpaper couldnt get changed.... and some abnormal stuffs in background white screen
