Endless Boot Loop after installing DotNETCF v3.5 - P3300, MDA Compact III General

Hi @all,
I come from Germany and own a P3300; it's branded by T-Mobile,
so it's actually a MDA Compact III.
I could always fix problems with my P3300 by myself, but this time
I don't know what to do.
I installed the Compact Framework v3.5 from the following CAB archive:
"NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab", and after the installation it said, that the device
needs to be reset. (As always, when installing previous versions of NETCF).
After the reboot, the screen, where I have to enter my unlock-code, comes
up, but before I could tap the first digit with my stylus, the screen turns
black again, and it boots again...the unlock screen comes up again...
and it boots again... and again...and again...
I never had such a problem before with my device.
I really want to avoid a hard reset, because I haven't made a backup for
over 2 month (shame on me! ), but I don't see any other solution.
Does anybody know another solution to help me out?
I would be very grateful!
Regards,
ROFL_Copter

Need Help!

I switched on my phone today, and it loaded the o2 screen, and now is permanently stuck on the Black and Blue screen.
I using Tom's B&B 4.0 touch-flo rom.
Please help!
try a hard reset, something similar happened to me when i was using a different rom and a hard reset fixed it, hope that helps.
Hard reset is when you push call and end buttons together and insert the stylus?
Didnt work either.
hmm.. maybe reinstall the rom then? Did you install any programs on the phone??
It's not detecting the fone, hence I cant even reinstall the ROM.
Is there any way 2 recover from this? Or did I just loose 700 bucks!?
Even problem whereas I had any concern with this version v4.0…
I flashé my artemis 4 or 5 times, it went super… (I would have of the Juste to make hardware reset…).
Since my 2 last flash, that blocks on the page during more 5min…
Flash after flash, always similar
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1445305&posted=1#post1445305
So wait, were you able to fix it?
As of right now my fone is sitting like a brick on my table.
Me I wait, of the blow I do not make more software reset…
I am obliged to await more 5min before being able to type my code PIN.
I do not include/understand, that had ever done it to me before this last flash.
I have remakes a flash, always similar, even while passing by a ROM Orange, as soon as I pass by again in V4.0, that does it to me!!!!
Its been over 5 mins for me and its still stuck on the B&B screen. HELP!
Make a hard reset and change the ROM....v3.7 for exemple...
Yea, I tried reflashing it, but the Rom update utility doesnt detect the fone at all.
Look this :
http://www.forummobiles.com/index.php?showtopic=139079
It's a french but it's easy with photo !
I read it, but because it never passes the boot screen, it never detects it hence it doesnt show up in the device manager.
What 2 do!?
Try hard reset again. What did you mean when you said it doesn't work? It didn't do anything? It tried re-installing and failed? What happened?
You don't need the ROM update utility to do a hard reset.
B&B 4.0 Getting stuck on the windows loader, is a know problem. TRy a hard reset to fix it.
Hard reset: Stylus in the hole on the side, and press the two " - " buttons between the red and green button.
This should fix the problem. Now you can flash another rom into the P3300. I'm, running 3.4 without any problem. I updated it with the HTC Tabs from Tom wich used in B&B 4.0.
The problem is that V4.0 functioned very well on my first flash…
while reinstalling the plug in HTC Home + the file SDK, that is better!!

I may come back, for now my Artemis is sitting, bricked, on my table and I've tried everything.
Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
You need to flash via bootloader - hold record button down and soft reset - you now have multicolored screen - connect via usb and flash - you dont need activesync this way.

Failure to boot up, during/after upgrade to WM6...

I tried to upgrade my new UK T-Mobile Compact III to WM6 following the information/files at http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1375965&postcount=111, but I failed. Instead, I ended up with a failure to boot up and a freezing starting screen of T-Mobile.
I tried to access bootloader following the information at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_Resets, but I was unable to get anywhere else apart from the T-Mobile starting screen, again. Similarly, I tried several of the suggestions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=313848, but again no lack...
Can you please help me on that asap? What can I do to make my device workable (in either WM5 or WM6)? I spent a lot of time reading various threats in the forum and in various places in the internet, but I didn’t manage to find a solution. I would be grateful for any help.
Download this,
http://rapidshare.com/files/19322112/HTC_1.12.405.01_026790_WWE_SHIP.rar
it's the original wm5 rom and you will be able to get your device working if you run it from your bootloader screen.
Reset the device with the stylus and hold the top left button. After a few seconds you will get a screen with 3 coloured strips on it. Once on this screen run the art_tmouk_11311001_024990_wwe_ship.exe.
Then look through this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403
after using USPL you will be able to flash any of the wm6 roms.
Problem solved!
Thanks a lot! Your advice was valuable. I managed to make it work again and then I installed WM6 following this threat: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=325295
Everything works smoothly now!

Dude! this is a serious problem! Someone to get what it is?

Hey guys, I've updated to wm6 and sometimes after my p3300 started to either black out or get into a irresponsive mode where the screen is just lightly on. No buttons replies! Once its happens the only solution is to do a soft reset and then pass to phase 2, try to restart it. That bad boy gets stuck directly at the loading process and its maybe - with luck- that it will go through the os loading after 10 tries and soft resets. The phone can work then from five minutes to ten hours and will get stuck again. What is Happening???!!! Also I don't think its the battery cause it does the same thing even with full battery. Last detail, I just passed the warranty limit and its too late to send it back. What can I do??
Did you updated with the official Rom?
Try to flash it again.
Or just try it out a cooked WM6.1 ROM. I recomend Artemis touch Vanilla 4.02.
Cheers
You tried a hard-reset?

If he upgraded it, then he didn't need it or it was the original WM6 ROM.
The problem was after upgrade!
Flash it again or do a hard reset!
Cheers
Thanks for the help. Yeah I installed the touch Vanilla 4.02 cooked WM6.1 ROM. And I believe the uspl was in the file. As far as I remember I ran it but had no feedback whether it worked or no...
Would a hard reset get the bad boy back to wm5 or reboot with wm6.1?
I *should* reset/default to factory settings for whatever ROM was last successfully flashed to the device. You will lose any installed programs/data so so a PIM backup/ActiveSync before hand if required.

Can't pass forward from align screen

Hi guys, strange problem here. I have flashed many rom's and no problem till now. I have allways used mtty before flashing. Now my device has freezed, soft reset - freeze again, hard reset - freeze on align screen. Mtty again, flashed stock rom, hard reset - freeze on align screen. Tried everything and nothing worked. It would'nt go any further from align screen. It's driving me crazy! Please help me, some advices would be thruly apreciated. thanks
I had an old iPaq which had some sort of rom hardware error and would give errors because of that. Have a look at the errors when you use mtty (assuming you format with the 'task 29' command), there's usually some, but if there's something that looks a bit out of place it might be a physical issue. Also, make sure you're taping the align screen firmly, and if all else fails, just leave it for a few hours on that screen, it may just be taking ages to start up
EDIT: maybe there's a limit to how many times a rom can be flashed? can anyone help us out here?

Artemis P3300 more dead than alive (does not start)

Hi guys, looked a lot of threads on this forum but didn't see one similar to my situation!!!
My HTC P3300 Artemis is dead in a very strange way.
-Had it for a week with WM5(factory, german) - had no problem.
-After a week i've installed the WIN6.5WWV from Shady, from this forum - everything was ok the system worked fine (did the USPL unlock before installing)
-The device worked for around a week and yesterday just died while i started a ringtone from my additional flash of 8G SDHC within the device (had no problem with the flash before)
-A note - while on 6.5, the device had different issues with stability, had to restart once in a while.
Description of death :
1. Power button does not start the device(?!)
2. Trying to Hard reset (2 soft buttons + Reset with the stylus) - firstly i get a black screen that asks for confirmation, i press the green button to confirm. I see the text :
Format FAT partition
Format is completed!!
Then a WM logo appears on the screen with a red text in upper left corner:
IPL 1.12.0001
SPL 1.11.0000
And the phone freezes in this state.(?!) - does it mean the SPL is freezing? because before that i saw like 4 lines written with red, now only 2, the last being with SPL.
PS:
-Tried to take out the battery and repeat all steps, tried to put charger to make sure the power is constant (don;t ask, just tried .
-Tried to take off battery, wait for 20 minutes, then repeat
-Tried to take battery, wait for one night and repeat (actually i didn't wait, i just went to bad, it was night already
-Tried the bootloader mode (the Power+Voice+Reset)- it works fine, but don;t know if this helps.
What could be wrong? Is it a hardware issue? Very strange!!
Thanks for your time
Have a good one
maybe u can flash it again in bootloader? that could solve the problem?
if else, it looks like a hardware issue or the phone is bricked.

Yesterday I tried to install from flash like described here - and it was dieing all the time at "Reading from SD" - the screen was becoming bright white and it just shut down. (tried 4 times with same result, only that the moment when the screen went white was different - from 5 seconds to 2-3 minutes)
Right now, when i wanted to reply about this, i said to myself, let me try one more time!!! What do you think???? It worked!!!!
Reading from SD (1-2 minutes)--> Flashing OS (2-3 minutes) and after this it was DONE!!!!
Shuuuush!!! HTC is so weird!!!
Thanks for the help ) i think there are 2 logical ways to go next:
A) Just use it and hope it's gonna be all right in future
B) Install a generic WM not a cooked one. And maybe it's wize to downgrade to WM6.1 or WM6?
What do you recommand?
Have a good one!!
I'm so happy i fixed it!!
well u can safely use a cooked rom, if read a few topics that it can occur sometimes that a cooked rom isnt good flashed the first time. maybe that was the case with your phone, who knows
