I have bought BA and im very happy with it.... but i dont have any cable for it and i wanna flash from wm03se (original system) to wm05 can i do that with bluetooth? I live in serbia and a cable for him is very expensive... anyone help please???
I have another question, when press down on buttons below those four buttons on front of the phone i need a little harder to press, same to answer button, can i clean it somehow.... THANKS
I seriously doubt it, as flashing requires rewriting the internal memory, that AFAIL can only be done when the device is in bootloader.
Is there any other way to flash phone? And please help me about buttons??
You can flash through the memory card if you can't do it via sync cable.
Can anyone show how to flash through memory card step by step? or drop some link here?? THANKs
As a start, I'd try the wiki. http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel
i have read all about flashing but have not found how to flash with memory card... please help... thanks
I dont want to be annoying but HELP!!!! please
If you can't find anything on SD Card flashing, it may not be possible with your device.
I was hoping this was possible as well.
The BA I just got from Ebay stopped working while connected to the cradle or sync cable. When I first plugged it in to my sync cable I noticed it was kind of wobbly, and instead of showing the amber charging light it showed the red light. Putting it in the cradle it wouldn't do anything either until I left it on for a few hours then tried to do a hard reset.
After that it still wouldn't work on the sync cable, but did work on the cradle. So I flashed it from the original ROM to one of Xplodes to see if that would help. Well it works fine and I was able to upgrade on the cradle, but it still wouldn't work on just the sync cable.
Just yesterday when I tried to plug it into the sync cable again to see if it at least would charge while on it, I noticed that when it was on and I plugged it in the screen dimmed with a bunch of lines eating away at the screen. Finding that odd I unplugged the sync cable, rebooted it (worked fine) and put it back on the cradle. The moment it came in contact with the connection it again dimmed and got the wierd garbled screen, eventually going black and showing the red light instead of the amber light.
I also just noticed that the phone doesn't work. I was so worried about setting the thing up that I didn't even check that basic functionality!
So, here I have a BA that doesn't have a working phone, and can't be synced. The wi-fi seemed to work at least.
So is there any way to change the ROM back to OEM using the SD card, bluetooth, IRDA, or wi-fi? At least then I can try and send the thing back to the Ebayer I got it from. If I send it back now they'd see I have WM 6.1 on it and probably tell me I'm SOL.

OK I'm panicking here so I apologise for the title....I was loading Pocket Breeze last night after having synched my BA(imate PDA2K).....at the last moment, the screen froze.....the pop-up window on the PPC telling me of the loading status just was there....I tried everything, nothing would remove it....so I decided to soft reset it for which I had to remove it from the cradle.....I did and the pocket breeze was there when it came back online...everything's fine except that now when I put the BA back in its cradle, it won't charge........and I have tried plugging it in with the DC---> adapter and it still won't do anything..........
any ideas what's going on?????? is there a driver which controls the plug where the cradle goes into?(dunno what's it called?).........My last resort would be to hard reset it, but I'm thinking that this might not be software related? Kindly please help as I'm freaking out as I have too much of important data on it...plus I can't seem to get to the clubimate site...it won't log me in....so if anyone can send me the US service center numbers I would really appreciate that too..........
have u backed it up/hard reset/restored?
Check settings/power whether its charging or not, sometimes on my magician the led doesn't switch on but settings/power says it's charging (and it really is).
yea, I checked that out too...it wasn't charging....since I got the unit from the middle east,I use a US adapter with it to charge........I hard reset and then it started charging using the USB cable and the cradle......I am going to replace the adapter and see if that's back too......
What I would like to know is if this was a hardware issue or a software driver that was deleted or something????? I mean it couldnt be software related, could it?????
Hello,
If there is a thread about this subject, please direct me to it because I couldn't find it.
I have an XDA Cosmo running on WM6.1 (ricky's)
All was reasonably fine untill this sunday. All of a sudden it doesn't make any sound anymore and there is the headphone symbol displayed at the top. When I plug in a headphone, I can hear to that offcourse.
It is also very hard to sync it with my computer. I have to try dozen's of times.
I'm guessing that there is something wrong with the connector. Do you have any suggestions?
The strangest thing is that when I reboot my phone, it doesn't occur untill i plug something into the mini-usb connector.
Another strange thing was that it changed the colour of the homescreen automaticly overnight. I don't think the two problems are related, so any suggestions for this one?
yesterday, completely out of the blue, my phone had the speakerphone all the time on. I couldn't get it normal again. Then, later that day, the headphone symbol reappeared, so I couldn't make a call anymore.
When I connect it to my computer today, it keeps on switching between connected and not-connected for 2 minutes and then decides to be not connected. Even when I leave the room and there are no noticeable vibrations that could cause a bad connection.
Anyone has an idea? Because the phone is useless right now and I can't flash another rom when I can't connect it to my computer.
Greetings and thanks a lot for any piece of information.

turn off bluetooth
Bluetooth hasn't been on the last couple of months, so I don't think that that is the problem
I know it's not a battery issue I have two that I bought at different times and it does this with both of them. The phone just keeps freezing no matter what rom I put on it. I've tried the default t-mobile 6.0 and all the custom roms from here. Here's what's happening, I don't touch the phone for a few days, leave it off and everything. When I turn it on it boots up fine, let it sit for a few hours to make sure it's working and as soon as I start doing things on it, the device slows down then freezes. I've tried overclocking the cpu a little just to speed it up but it doesn't help. So once it freezes I pull the battery and try to turn it back on but it freezes on the windows screen, the only way to get it to boot normally is a hard reset, which then it only lasts for a few hours. Any ideas? Is it completely shot at this point?
Than if it is not a battery problem than all I can think of is that there is a hardware problem.
Memory card it sounds like. Take it out and see if it works normally if so go get a new one. Flash memory cards are great but they dont last forever
Oh I would have never thought it would be a memory card issue... but hey that could be the case.
Similar Problem
My Dash has had 6.1 then I went back to 6.0 after having this problem:
Initially this would occur when I would try to access the internet, email, etc. it would just shut down. Now the problem occurs when in a call as well. The Dash shuts down. I would try to reboot but it reads my battery as dead. I tried different batteries, same problem. THe only way to reboot is to plug into recharge. It will reboot but still reads the battery as 0%. When I reboot on power after the initial reboot, it reads the battery as full again. I can keep the Dash on for awhile but, when receiving a call or when it tries to get email (not All the time, just most of the time) it shuts down again.
I took the phone to a repair shop and they replaced the circuit board but it still did the same thing. After reading this thread, the constant is the memory card. Could this be the problem?
Maybe, but it does sound a lot like a situation I had just a lil while back. I could feel the battery getting hot during use and have to leave my dash plugged in all the time. If I unplugged it the battery would die fast and it's prompt me to shut down. I end up testing a lot of things and found that after I removed OMAPClock from the ROM the problem went away. Now you say you went back to 6.0 after having this problem, did you go with one that had OMAP or install it seperately? Since I removed it I haven't had any problems. I still have the ROM I made to get rid of it. It's Rose 1.6 by Ricky & Stylez, only change is I removed OMAPClock from it. Let me know if you want to try it, I'll just need to upload it somewhere...
OMAP
Sure, at this point, I am wanting to have my DASH back! The problem right now is getting the laptop to recognize it and sync again after all the stuff that the shop did. It is not being recognized after their reflash
To get your laptop to recognize it, try this. With your Dash turned off and unplugged, hold down the camera button then plug in the sync cable. The Dash should load the Blue/Green/Red Boat Loader screen. You should then be able to reflash it with an Official ROM.
My Edited version of the Rose ROM 1.6 by Ricky and Stylez is here:

This is to flash back to the T-Mobile Radio which i am also using:

Flash the ROM first, than flash the Radio.
Not recognizing the USB now
I think that the shop didn't connect something, it is not recognizing the USB now. It will charge but not sync or flash the phone.
I took the dash back to the shop to fix their fixing Hopefully, it will sync when I get it back (and they don't try to charge me for the repair!)
Is it possible that the problem is caused by a faulty SIM card? When I sync it, I will see if the problem persists after removing the memory stick.
The simple things are usually the correct things. memory cards cause all sorts of issues, Removing it is simple enough of a way to tell if it is the cause.
OMAP will drain your battery if you let it run all of the time, and the battery will get hot (as well as the processor) from over use. Simply turning off the over clocking when you dont need it solves that problem.
My bet is it is the Memory card, that would also explain the inability to use the USB sync, Windows first looks to see if you are simply plugging in a USB device, checks to see if it is / has a memory card then in the case of syncing (WM) it loads active sync or mobile center if it detects a compatable OS. If your memory card is bad Windows may never ever get past the memory card check and just sit there.
It's not my memory card, I've removed it and even tried a few different ones I had and keeps doing the same thing. I'm thinking hardware related and was actually looking into getting one with a busted screen off ebay or something to put my screen into.
Of usually i search and search until I find an answer but I have now idea what to do...
-T-Mobile Dash with a Cingular Sim running Kavanna 6.1 (and kavanna has ran fine on it for the most part)
-Phone randomly froze (wouldnt let me type a text msg)
-Powered off
-Went to power it back on and nothing -no lights, no nothing
-Tried the two softkeys and power button for two seconds
-Tried te camera button and power button
-Pulled batter multiple times and pulled all cards from it
-When it is plugged into a wall I dont even get a power charging light....
Any ideas? I cant afford a new phone

Not if your battery is completely waste it. Check if your battery pins in your dash make full contact with your battery, because that can cause a problem (very odd, but it happens). If not, try another battery.
Have you checked your charger, I guess is damaged because if your battery is damaged or if is no battery at all and you connect the charger the led will turn red.
sam happened w me, no solution yet
hate to tell you that you might have bricked your phone,
the same happened to my excalibur, when i tried to flash it -mistakenly- with the wrong rom,
thing is; the rom is controlling the power charging process and the battery support to the device, if something went wrong with the rom for any reason; then no instructions are sent to the battery neither the charger, therefore: no power sign of any in the device.
i couldn't find an answer to fix my dash, but i think the solution is either changing the rom or JTAG-ing it might solve the problem, though i have no tools neither knowledge to do so.
sorry pal, the bright side is: you are a member of (BDC) the Bricked Dash Club
cheers

With the information provided it hasn't been your same case due that he hasn´t flashed any other rom, so basically he can try another battery and see what happens.
errrrrr
New Battery - Still no lights and using the reset features found in the unbricking tutorial do not work.
Tried using a cable from my comp to give power to phone so it isnt power cable
So what now? I cant even get to a bootloader screen or anything.... I cant afford a new phone ERRR
**Update-
Was plugging in the USB cable and looks like it gets a connection only when it is plugged in a little but this not just at the end that connects to the phone (it happened when the phone was already plugged into the cable and I was plugging it into the comp and vice versa) Um so that is strange - the light does not stay on and when the battery is in the phone I do not get that quick red flash - so it still doesnt work and cant do anything

Maybe is your USB port causing the problem.
I've read a number of posts that deal with problems syncing, but none that matches exactly the problem I'm having.
When initially connected via USB, everything goes according to plan: the icons on the device and in Windows both show the connection, the sounds alert me to the handshake having been successful, and the device and PC sync. This state lasts a varying amount of time, usually about a half an hour or so. Then, without the device being touched, the ActiveSync icon on the PC goes grey, and the "connection dropped" sound on the PC is played. Nonetheless, power is still being transferred, and the charging light (orange then green) is still lit. If I disconnect and reconnect, the same pattern occurs every sing time. I've tried with a number of USB cables, always with the same behaviour.
Note that the device is out of warranty by now, so the lest desirable response is "send it back to HTC for repair".
[ edit ] Forgot to mention: Yes, I gently cleaned out all the pocket fluff that had connected in the mini USB connector on the device, but have not attempted a more prodigious cleaning.

Really? No one else has experienced this problem?

I know you may not want to here this, but that sounds an awful lot like a symptom of a faulty USB port on the device. One way to test it is to flash the latest stock ROM for your carrier/device model and see if it works with that. If it doesn't, then you'll need to learn to solder to replace the USB port. If it does work, then you've got some troubleshooting to do on your current ROM to figure out what is causing the connection to drop.
Also, in the rare case that you are already on a stock ROM, you'll need to reflash it and test it from scratch without anything installed.

Yes, Bob, I am on the stock ROM and yes, you are right, I don't want to hear anything about flashing -- even less about soldering. I, too, suspected that it might me a hardware issue with the USB port. I guess it's time to start shopping for a new device! [ sigh ]
I have had 2 tp2's, and my wife has also had one, and every single one of them has had the same issue. It will be plugged in, working fine, synced fine, and one small tap of the wire, computer, or phone will end the sync. It could just be that the mini port is ****. With that said, don't move your phone when it is synced...
my mini port has problem syncing. it's fine for TV output and headphones. but has same problem as you describe - so now I always use BT to sync/copy files instead of USB.
Ah well, have been looking around for the next great device. There's word that AT&T will get the HTC Sensation, but nothing confirmed.
Just wondering here if you tried sync with another system - same device.
At work I never had issues, but on the road with my Acer laptop I began having the same symptoms you describe, the usb ports on this (fully updated system) just won't enable proper sync (miss my Dell). Well I'm sure you thought of this but just a thought.
If hardware fault, try to change a new cable first. Usually the cable will tear out faster than the port on board.
