Do you think the 1.93 faster ROM will be able to be applied to the Sprint Diamond once it's out in a few weeks, or will a new one be made for the Sprint version? That's what I plan to get, but only if I can be fairly assured that I can make it faster than stock. Thanks.

Well I've had my Diamond 3 days and I'm horrified by the battery life even with the 1350mah battery. I've heard that the new roms help improve battery life, but are any of the roms here usable on the new Sprint CDMA models.
That is the same question I was about to ask!! I want up flash my phone but I was wondering which ROMs are best for the Sprint Diamond.
you guy should check this link out, it's for the juicy rom, which is for cdma diamond on telus and sprint

My wife and I both currently have HTC Vogues from Alltel running NFSFAN's v6.5 rom and I was curious if we should now, or if not now then when, flash to the Verizon version of a rom due to the Alltel-Verizon merger.
Thanks in advance for your responses...
Maybe wait till its the "new" Verizon?
But really, you should wait till someone more experienced comes by. After all, I am a Canadian user.
Stick with Alltel ROM's for now. They have not completely merged their PRL's and won't completely be integrated for another 6-12 months. Verizon had to sell off some of Alltel and they recently swapped some former Alltel territories with Att due to antitrust regulations so Alltel phones and Verizon phones continue to be slightly different. The only full integration they've done is their billing systems. Hope this helps
if you flash to verizon, you will get billed as if you have a pay as you go plan.
If you go in or call in and fully switch to verizon,
then you can go ahead and flash to verizon no problem.
But if you haven't switched to verizon,
which you personally have to call in and switch over,
which is basically resign a 2 year contract with them.
Not even sure if you can go into the store or not.

You should only switch to Verizon ROM until after your Market transitions into Verizon, Currently there are only a couple of Markets that have transitioned. Keep your Plan if you are happy with it. Remember that if you change to Verizon willingly they Can charge you for overages on DATA. Since you have a custom Rom already you don't have to worry about it anyway since that has already been " FIXED" but As a Alltel user myself I would recommend that you only change to a Verizon rom until the User name and password change to [email protected] as opposed to [email protected]. You have an open based rom and unlocked phone so its the same thing. You should look out for NEW prls out there, currently 40049 is the most current, there will be more coming out real soon that will allow better usage of the Verizon Network, full data coverage as opposed to voice and some data only. Hope this helps
I currently have a Sprint Vogue HTC Touch MPC6900SP phone. I am thinking of switching carriers to Alltel. I know that both Sprint and Alltel use CDMA. I was wondering if it is at all possible to use cokeman's unlocker 2.31 and flash a custom ROM, and then run the specific carrier cab file for Alltel and end up with a phone that works on the Alltel system (of course I would need to provide the phone codes to Alltel when I sign up with their service). Is this a totally lame thought and improbable to do?
maybe
i would think the only thing that u have to do is flash it with nsfan custom rom for alltel if he has one or find one on here and call alltel up and tell them you wanna use your phone on their network and give them the esn and they will let you know if they will allow that esn or not
Im with alltel, and i have done that with a sprint vogue, and i am currently using a sprint touch pro with alltel. You have to do research on how to do it, and it'll constantly say you are roaming unless you get an alltel pri. It's fairly complicated on the first try, but it becomes a little easer. Long answer short, yes it is possible, and many people have done it
I'm a bit confused with all the 6.5 roms available now. Which ones are compatible with the 3G radio in the US TMO TP2?
I have been using NRG's Energy Rom, it is really rocks!! way cooler than the stock Tmo rom.
Be sure you do the Hard spl first.
actually, any of the ROMs you see thus far can be used with TMO TP2. I personally am using Atom's and it's by far the best!
Sorry if this has already been asked, but I just wanted to know if the recently released HTC WWE 6.5 ROM will work with the T-mobile USA touch pro 2? Has anyone experienced any problems?
i tried putting in my serial number and kept getting it's not for my phone.
hey up! i can confirm as i'm using tmousa tp2 that the stock update will work on your device, i've been using for a couple of days now and the only thing i can say i've noticed is you'll get the hsdpa icon instead of 3g (you still get 3g data apparently...infact it even seems to have been a bit quicker for me, might depend on where you are though tmo has patchy coverage) also you'll need to search for the tmousa keyboard cab to get your hardwear keyboard back to working normally....other than that, everything seems to be tickety-boo!
hope it helps! take it easy!
p.s....sorry should've mentioned....you'll have to hardspl it...and download from htcpedia...you should be able to work it out from there
