Does Easysync Pro work with WM6?

I am interested in trying out these new WM6 roms. however, I was wondering if anyone knew if easysync pro will work with WM6.

Yes it works without any issues. I am using Easysync since 1.5 weeks on wm6.

What version of EasySynch Pro works with Windows Mobile 6?
I'm also interested in using EasySynch Pro to synch my WM6 Device? Bunique, what version of EasySynch Pro are you using?

mine is 4.2.5

Easysync pro works with wm6 since V4.2.2. U have to install to main memory.

I have v 4.2.4 and was unable to install it to my WM6 device. Are you sure about this? The system requirements for 4.2.4 list the following as supported:
Microsoft Pocket PC 2000 / 2002 / 2003 / Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC devices (ActiveSync)

1.-I'm quite sure on this.
2.-I got-it under IBM internal site (i'm an IBMer)
3. 4.2.4 should work. just install-it into the main memory and u have do do something (i don't remember what) to allow restricted operation on the PDA, this is a reg-hack or something, search xda and u will find!

ps. 4.2.5 is a fixpack

Thanks for your reply. I found an IBM article outlining 4.2.5 and support for WM6.
Perhaps it was a problem with allowing unsigned apps? I seem to recall a registry hack/cab available to fix that. enable_rapi?
It's a bit of a moot point now since I reverted back to a WM5 rom last night. Maybe I'll try reflashing a WM6 rom and see if i can get it going though a hack...unless of course you'd be willing to send me a copy of 4.2.5, for evaluation purposes.

First off, thanks for the reply. I hope this isn't in the wrong forum... I found this thread through a search and I was hoping it applied to me. I've got a Wizard (Cingular-branded 8125), but I am using WM6 & Easysync Pro.
I still can't get EasySync 4.2.4 to install. I get a series of errors when it's trying to install the cab:
First, "this program uses a file that is no longer supported please obtain an updated version of the program"
Then "unable to launch \windows\xcpcsyncsvr.exe: error 1411"
Finally, it says that it's installed, but it isn't. And Easysync on the PC reports that it can't connect.
Any ideas?

Rogers and Custom Themes

Has anyone with this unit on Rogers been able to apply new themes? I've tried a few, but can't get them to work.
Now it is possible i'm just doing this wrong, and if so, does anyone have a site with some themes they know will work?

I have the s621. I'm not sure about unlocking it. I'd like to avoid brickin' it.

copy this file to your phone, and then run it - got this from their website.

That link you posted is to install Root Certificates for self signed or wildcard Security Certs. I work for Rogers and have extensive knowledge of this device, and the problem is that Rogers application locks this device. The only way i could get around this stuff, in order to edit the registry, install unsigned applications (themes included) was to install the T-Mo release of WM6.

Uhm, I don't think that's true. I installed this cab, and used the SDA unlocker, and I can edit the registry, install software, change themes, etc. I don't have the tmobile ROM.

Same here. I just got a Rogers s621 and have been installing everything with no locking issues whatsoever. So Rogers did not application lock the device they sent me.

can anyone with the Rogers HTC s621 post the ROM. I'm trying to enable Name Display feature to work with all cooked roms.

My S621 seemed to have come application unlocked..
I got it just the other day, and installed Facade, and a few other programs.
But its weird, it seems like it was application unlocked for the first...5 programs or something
Got to PocketNester and Mobile Office and it gave me the insufficient permissions error.
I grabbed the SP_AllowCertificateInstall.cab file from this thread, ran it and was able to install Nester and MOffice.

I CID unlocked my T-Mobile Dash I got, Ran the rogers WM6 rom and installed fine.
I coudlent install any applications though and came across this post. Ran the Rogers Cert cab file and then sureal unlocker which auto edits the registry and installing applications perfectly.
This is a awsome find.

I got an unlocked TyTN ROM:3.54.255.3 and Radio: 1.48.00.10 (Non-Rogers); I could not get the Name Display to work on Rogers.
I came accross this thread and I'm wondering what to do?
I'm wondering is there like a cab file that we can run to set the registry for a TyTN?

Haven't tried it but seems to be a working WM6 ROM. I believe it was based on the official T-Mobile ROM with customizations.

Server seems to be soooo slow, running at 20kbps..

File dates look too old to be a new version... the NBH file is from the 2 of April - that supports the TMobile ROM theory Looks like we'll have to keep on waiting. Although maybe we will be rewarded within the next two weeks

I'm hoping that the official HTC release of WM6 for the s620 comes out within two weeks. I've heard rumours of it coming August 17 and sometime in September - I'm not sure what to think. In anycase, didn't HTC take over the Dopod brand, making it a bit silly for Dopod devices to get an update before HTC ones?

Well, that might be silly, but here's what is sillier.
Officially, HTC has announced an update for the HTC S620. But officially, neither HTC nor Dopod have announced an update for the c720w. In fact, they have said that they won't do it.
So that's why there is excitement over this release, not because its come out earlier.

I downloaded it and I couldn't get it to work and I know my phone is on unlocked for sure, because, first of all I paid the $40 to do it and secondly I successfully installed another ROMs. Besides It's only that T-Mobile ROM and from all I read about it, you are better off not installing it. I finally went with the Russia WM6 ROM on my C720W and it's working great!! I had to make some adjustments, but that's part of the fun! As I said in another thread, I can't see the official HTC WM6 ROM being any better then this Russia ROM. Cheers

So I downloaded this and then unzipped the RAR file, I then tried to run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe, Vista popped up Are you sure you want to run it, I selected Run, and it did absolutely Nothing.
I tried rebooting my computer and running it again and it is the same thing everytime. It doesn't do Anything.
What can I do to make it run?

are you sure it's not working ??? just so you know ... when the phone is app unlocked, you would still get a prompt everytime regarding "unknown publisher" & you need to confirm by clicking "OK"...etc ( that's normal !! )
to resolved that ... you need to go a step further !

what are you doing trying to flash the c720w ROM to a s621 ???
I know that they are the same machine by marketing ... but there are bits that are diffrent internally ... or else why do you think all of us S621 owners not doing this ???.. instead of waiting for HTC to release the WM6 ROM now ... some of us went ahead and installed the "RUSSIAN" leaked version instead

they are the same machine like the comparision I gave above ... BUT ... look closely at the specs ... there are some differences ... not really exact now ... is it ??

Windows Market Place is up

I'm using NRG's latest 2.1 rom and have just installed windows market place. just download and install

im probably gonna get flamed to hell for this - but my rom doesnt have the marketplace cooked in - is there a user installable cab? ive searched but failed.

I installed it but it complains that it can't talk to the server
Have they taken it down again?
EDIT: Seems like VodafoneUK and O2 UK don't have it accessible yet...

I'll see if I can get a cab up later tonight

found a zip - it runs and then updates - but it wont communicate with the server - not even over wifi

I'm using Vodafone UK business and MP is working fine for me.

im seeing some people working fine with marketplace - so im thinking its a rom specific thing - probably some reg setting for server or something - will be trying a few new roms today

I just tried that MP.zip on my TP2, unzipping all files to a folder on the SDcard & running the main app: nothing for me, it starts up & then nothing happens

I am running NRG's lastest ROM as well on Tmobile USA. When I first opened up Marketplace, it told me that I needed to install the Updated App and that worked fine. After that however, it says that it cannot reach the server

I know ms is updating their server and stuff, I got an email saying that myphone service is the being updated and it wont be available for sometime, maybe the same with marketplace. And can some one put a cab here in this forum, no point linking us to a diff forum where we have to register again to dl.

I downloaded the cab from ppcgeeks, it took me to a page in opera asking me to download another cab, I did so, and Marketplace is working fine over Wifi with my Sprint TP2!!

Still no worky for me even with that cab

Are you running a stock or cooked ROM?

Im on Stock ROM. (We can't do cooked yet on CDMA)

Pocket e-sword installation

Hello.
I have a t-mobile dash successfully unblocked and with the Kavana rom/wm6.1 in it.
I am now trying to install a program called pocket e-sword, it doesnt install because it says there is some error and the cab file was not meant for this device.
I have tried all their versions of the program and none of them are compatible?
Please help. The only reason I have a smartphone is pretty much for this.
Google "pocket e-sword" and you will see the first link. I can't post it since this is my first thread.
I didn't install the latest for wm6 only because its only for wvga phones, and as far as I'm concerned the T-dash isnt.

Then you should have bought a pocketpc or at minimum one of the phones listed in the "click here for a list of supported models" link at e-sword.net's website. Read the requirements - Strong Arm/XScale, PDA must have a "touch screen". Yes I know, noobs don't like to read instructions, they just want to click and go.
This won't work on the Dash.
