I'm trying to change the offical T-Mobile ROM to the newer offical 1.93 from HTC.
I have download the ROM exe from this site but when it trys to install ROm an error comes saying "Error 244 invalid model ID".
I have tried searching & looking through loads of threads but all seems very complicated to a numpty like me!
Can some body please talk me through in easy steps to help me?

You have to install hardSPL first. I prefer 1.40 from olinex.

I am having many problems installing any rom on my pda trinity ..
Can´t do hard-spl at first time, got error 246. Then, appears bootloader, i restart the application, and at the second time could install it .. ( sems odd to me)..can confirm hardspl is installed.
Then i have downloaded the dopod wm6 and when i try to install, get invalid id error at 1%..it stucks in bootloader..get this on it:
TRIN100
IPL - 0.50
TRIN100
SPL-3.03.0000 (why this?? )
Fortunately can install my official rom from htc..
Conclusion: stick to my official rom ( portuguese ).. stake zero.
But someone already had this problem? Or similar?
i am fed up with seeking.. forum xda, trinityguides .. google..all kind of foruns
what i am doing wrong? Have afraid doing the update with a cook rom my pda crashes..
what can i do?? what have my pda ??

From reading the above - I don't believe that the 246 error is your problem. (The 246 error is due to the Rom Upgrade Utility not waiting for the trinity to reconnect in bootloader mode - as soon as the connection is lost you get that. as you have seen, by restarting the RUU - or only starting the RUU when the phone is manually in bootloader mode - you can get the ROM loaded.)
I believe your problem is the stuck at 1% trying to flash the dopod ROM.
My 2 cents: forget the DOPOD ROM - it really is not as good as the cooked ROMs - in this case - "official" is not better.
The 1% sticking problem is a problem with this ROM.
Download another ROM (which one is not an easy question - but I have heard good things about sammy_deluxe ROM if you're looking for a portuguese ROM) and try updating with another ROM. it will work. Patience!

Hi everyone,
I've just upgraded my (french) Diamond's HardSPL with the OliNex version found in the topic "Hard-SPL or how I learned to stop worrying and love the MPU". Everything was OK at this time so I booted and HTC "reinstalled" the TF3D interface files.
Everything is still working but when I tried (several times) to upgrade the Radio version to v1.00.25.05, the program stays at 0% for 3 minutes and then gave me the 262 update error. I tried to connect my Diamond to different USB ports but didn't change anything.
So I decided to download the official update from HTC website and install it (witch I did) but this update doesn't work too (same error)
The strory is not so bad because my Diamond is still working but I want to install an unofficial ROM...

I suspect that your problem is that you need one of the unsigned / developer hardspls for standalone radio upgrades and you are using one of the "signed hardspls"

In fact I want to install the Diamond Project Rom that need theses (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408621) HardSPL version but I don't know what version number choose (I tried with the 1.34 and the same problem appeared
To remove all doubt and be able flash virtually any rom, flash the developer edition unsigned Hard-SPL from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400950. It should do the trick for you.

brains1111, youe device is htc raphael aka touch pro. use propper hspl !!!!!!!
jasmannan htc touch diamond 2 is different device that first diamond. it's htc topaz, hardspl and custom rom dont exist yet for that model !!!

I got dopod 838pro Spl 2.03..
I want to upgrade it but everytime i did i got the same answer..
ERROR 270, ERROR 260..
Already try on both vista and xp..
Hard SPL and Custom RUU also got the same stituation..
I found out that using unbrick.bat, splexploit and so on..
Can someone teach me how to use this splexploit step by step please because my dopod 1 week already "sot"..
I can't understand how to use it..

I am a new user soooo tired from seeking, searching an reading thousand of threads, i have HTC diamond and basically useit for GPS and wireless network,i tryed many roms and radios and other staff (i didnt understand most of them!!), now i need a small favor from the expert, at the HTC offcial site there is the latest English ROM for Middle East users is
RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE-ME_2.03.456.2_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship
but after i installed the OliNex 1.40 i can not ubgrade to this ROM at the end of the process 100% it always says ERROR 270 wrong connected.
i will be very gratful if someone save my time and gave me the best way to go back to the original rom and radio or adviseme of the best rom and radio for best performnce for GPS and Wireless and battary.

first try to install any stock HardSPL ,make little search you will find it :
