Toshiba G900 ROM backup

Hi !!
Does anybody know how can I make a Backup of the existing ROM of my Toshiba G900 ..... in order to be able to try another "cooked Roms" here ...... and so if things go wrong ...... to be able to restore my original ROM????

You are kind of in the wrong forum. Try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=259 , and do a search for ROM backup for this site using google first. There is probably already a thread about it somewhere.

Toshiba G900 rom
A few weeks ago i dumped a rom of a portege G900 using this guide:

i wanted to extract some dll that where on the Rom.
It was no problem to extract the rom. On other forums however i have read that there is currently no way to write a rom to the phone. This due to the fact that Toshiba didn't release a software sollution for this. To write or update a rom you have to ship the phone to Toshiba. I don't know if this is true because i haven't tried to write a rom. I doubt it is possible to use the utilities on this site for this since they are developed for HTC phones. mayby you can contact one of the developers of these utils and ask them. for this you should check the link supplied by in the previous post.
one request. i forgot to dump the last partition that contained the system.hv file. therefore i mis some registry settings. My friend sold his portege, so there is no way to dump this partition any more. if you could post this file (system.hv) for me?

adejager1: I will post you the file you need if I give a try and can extract the rom. I will try ..... however ..... newbe as I am ...... probably I'll have some problems!!! One more thing, my ROM is in SPANISH ..... I don't know if the file you need will be useful for your system.

hey people,i got the original rom russian version n i need to get one in english coz this one is pissing me,which one of the roms would u guyz recomend,should i use kitchen versions and is there a pssibility of upgrading to 6.5 witout bricking my device,guyz help n pleaase give workable solutions,thanks in advance,holla

Is there a WM6 or WM6.1 Professional ROM available for the i-mate JAMA, as I am thinking of buying one from expansys while they have got them for the baraing price of £89.95?

I've this PDA too and I would like know about ROM to flash for the Italian version. As far as I know there's a WM6 version only for Chinese idiom not for English/Italian one.

yes its good to upgrade to wm6 ...
its very fast ...........
but i heared that imate jama now its coming with wm6...
but mine was wm5.........

Hi friends,I am new to j2me. I want to connect Bluetooth printer(Thermal Small Printer )to Imate Ultimate 6150 mobile. normally i connected through bluetooth its conneced ..fine.. now i want connect through the j2me mobile application to send the data to the printer and printer it should print the data..
now i am struggling to get the printer info from j2me mobile application.. also how to send the data please guide me... how to do that .. please guide me... give tips or useful links ...also what are the basic information i have read for this project.i know some basic about the bluetooth.. it has three method to transfer the data: (1)OBEX (2) L2CAP & (3) RFCON.. which one i can use... I use Netbeans to develop the j2me application also in unix platform

my jama is showing error code 9 process after trying this version and now it is not working whenever i start the device every time it stucks on errorcode 9 process. after showing imate logo. i m very much confused wat to do now ?????????????

jama orginal rom(wm5) is only available at imate service centers.i've upgrated my jama.now l could'nt find any orginal rom for this device to return to wm5.

Check on http://www.modaco.com/ in the samsung I900 Rom section, they have a ton of them there.

Have more chance for dead end...... use only the ROM for your own device model....
Can try other ROM only with your own risk.....
