Can Chinese D810 be upgraded using English ROM?

Hi all,
I'm currently using Traditional Chinese Dopod/HTC D810 (Whatever!...) and just upgraded using WM6 Chinese ROM yesterday, but I actually feel inconvenience as some features such as Word Completion missed. So, I'm thinking to upgrade it again with using WM6 English? Do you think it works?

Are you going to reply or an I Jason
If you get a disconnect just after going into the bootloader (coloured bars) - then just run the updater again - it will start a progress bar. When finished, press the reset on the Trinity. there ya go! Worked for jason!

just updated my SGH-i710 with this rom from rapidshare!!thanks a ton!!didnt need to upgrade my Phone part!!!just updated the PDA part!it works like a charm!!i myself was surprised by this!this original post was from 4 yeras ago!still the same files are there on servers and work!!amazing!

Where do I get Windows Mobile 6.1 for Samsung i780?

I have a Samsung i780 with PDA and Phone version i780DXHD1. I want to upgrade it to the latest 6.1 firmware. I tried downloading the official Orange firmware, but the installer wouldn't let me upgrade.
Where can i get the latest, stable build of Windows Mobile 6.1 for Samsung i780 and how would i go about installing it?

In fact I have, but I havent found a one that talks specifically about the orange one and how to upgrade non-compatible phone versions.

Well you must hex-edit the device string in the updater EXE. Use HxD hex editor for example, look at the end of the EXE file and change the string according to your current version..

Have more chance for dead end...... use only the ROM for your own device model....
Can try other ROM only with your own risk.....
