Hi all,
After upgrading my HTC Desire to 2.2 Froyo I was very excited about HD video recording. Done few shots outdoor, indoor then when I played it back on my pc the video was ok but I had like cut-off on the sound. Checked on different computers with different soft and same thing on all of them. Someone said my sd card is not fast enough (samsung 4GB Class2). Gone to shop and bought 8GB Transcend Class 6. Now it's hard to say because I still have same problem Now I have less 14 quid in my pocked and still cannot use my phone to occasionally record video. I don't expect brilliant quality from it, all I need is to record and maybe upload in youtube. It is very frustrating - dialog sounds like: "Hi ...ow you ..ing? Woul.. you go for a ..."
Does anyone have similar problem?
Can somebody help me?
As a HD video recorder my Galaxy W is not fit for purpose
If I record videos longer than about 60 seconds, the audio and video start to get way out of sync. I don't think it happens gradually - the sync usually goes out after a short glitch in the video. With each glitch, the video falls further behind the audio, and it never recovers - it just gets worse and worse.
I see the problem when recording to either an external SD or the internal storage, so it's not an SD card speed issue.
The problems go away when I record in a lower resolution (480p is fine), but one of the reasons I bought the W was for its HD recording capabilities!
Does anyone else have this issue, or is it just me?

I didn't check this problem in Recording, but i found the similar problem in playing 720p video. After a few seconds the audio is out of sync.
I thinks its purely a software problem, and future update will resolve this.
Currently i have 2.3.6.
Thanks
Yeah, it's not just a playback problem - if I transfer the videos to my PC the same glitches and audio sync issues are still there. I think I'll try and report this to Samsung if I can bear the pain of negotiating their support website.
Sometimes I also experience this when recording 720p video to internal storage, but no problem when I record to external microsd class 10 card. I assume this because when I did benchmark the internal storage writing speed only about 5MB/sec while the external storage reaches 15-17MB/sec on writing speed. What class is your external micro sd?
As for playback sync issues, I did not experience it either...
That sux. I havn't looked it up on my phone yet, but I really need my camera for recording this weekend. So It better not be that problem on my phone.

My external card is only class 4, but I naively assumed that the internal storage would be up to the task even if my external card wasn't. Looks like that might not be the case. 5MB/s - is it really that bad? If so, that's seriously crap.
I noticed the same with internal SD
Did not yet make HD video's using external SD. Hopefully that will resolve it.
Csn galaxy fit record hd videos to about 480p somehow as its having a powerful 5mp camera...?? Plz help me .. I need to record hd videos with my fit these vacations
Sent from my GT-S5670 using XDA
I've had the 8.4 since 6/27 and every day I've had it freeze on playback of videos. I am using MX Player Pro and Gplayer and both will be able to play a file fine one moment then after time the video will freeze and I am no longer able to play any file of the SD card even if I close the player app and restart it. The video files are 720p MKV files with no custom codec for MX Player Pro (hardware + decoding) and software decoding (for the audio) for Gplayer. The only way to get it working again is if I unmount the SD card and re-mount it. After re-mounting the SD card the files are able to play from either player normally.
I've done a factory reset on the tablet and reformatted the micro SD card but the problem keeps happening. I never had a problem with the same SD card and videos on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 so I do not think the mirco SD card is the issue.
Anyone else having issues with playing video of their micro SD cards? I am not sure if I should just return it or try and exchange it if there is a problem with the SD slot? I am guessing there might be some problem with software though since unmounting and remounting or rebooting seems to fix the issue
Might be when the tablet goes to sleep and I have MX Player Pro or Gplayer running. Like it shuts down acces to the SD card or something. I will try copying the same video file locally and try playing it when the SD card becomes unresponsive. Just wondering if anyone else is having a similar issue because I love the screen and the smaller size but it's kind of annoying to have it freeze up.
Mod, please delete thread. I exchanged the tablet and the new one has no issues with the SD card.
I've installed Lollipop Rom, Blisspop Rom, Cyanide L Rom, CM12.1 Rom, I've install all of them one by one to try them out on my LG G3, and the problem I'm Having in ALL of them is that After I record a video, The video does not appear on my gallery. I've check the settings. I've put my setting to save video to internal memory, and still nothing, I record a video, the Phone icon for recording works and everything however, I press stop, then go to the Gallery to view the video and there is no video there.
I've put my setting to save video into the sd card and i get the same results.
Does some on know why this my be happening to me. ???
Ok I figured out that I was recording in 4k and the video does not appear in my gallery. when I record in anything below 1080p in either the front or back camera, everything works fine and I'm able to view the recorded video.
Now I'm just wondering What is the purpose of being able to recorded videos in 4k but i'm not able to view them , even when I record them in my internal memory.?
I understand that maybe my SD card is not 4k compatible. But shouldn't the internal memory be able to record the 4k videos with no problem!
Hey everybody,
Got a brand new XZ2c. Latest Updates installed.
While taking the first test video recordings, I've noticed that the first 5 seconds are always mute. Then audio starts.
Tried to play around with some settings reading resolution, HDR or storage local or on SD card.
All the same. Any ideas? Did I miss something?
Thx in advice
Edit: phone factory reset didn't help.
