If you think of 4bg inside, look in a brower, the storage is nammed "Internal storage"

All my apps on my 2G SD card "used" to be referenced via "Storage Card" but now, after I got my hands on Buzz's (Its all your fault! LOL) ROM Unlocker, "Storage Card" is now Storage Card2" and the ROM shows up as "Storage Card", as well as, ExtendedROM. - although the contents are different. <huh! :?: >
Is there a way to rename these? I have tried Buzz's reg entry of:
HKLM_System\StorageManager\Profiles\TRUEFFS_DOC1\NAME="whatever" but that did not work for me.

If you change
HKLM_System\StorageManager\Profiles\TRUEFFS_DOC1\Folder="ExtROM" and turn off your device, wait 5 minutes and soft reset it will work.
Note that is Folder and not Name.

I still had the problem of Storage Card and Storage Card2 after following your instructions.
I turned off Outlooks storing of attachments to the Storage Card and this worked. I now only have the single Storage Card, but attachments now become the problem.
One thing I don't understand is that the ExtROM (with the cabs inside) appears as a seperate storage volume than did the Storage Card (9M of free space) when Storage Card2 (My 2G SD card) was present.
OK I understand what your problem is. Lets see if I can explain it in a way that makes sense to you. Your problem is windows is attempting to access a storage card that is not yet mounted. Or a storage card that does not exist, yet. When this happens you generally wind up with a folder by that name somewhere on your system.
Outlook in this case starts before the card is mounted, and tries to access your card before it is ready. I suppose that one could try putting some really big values in HKLM\System\StorageManager\
PNPUnloadDelay
and/or
PNPWaitIODelay
Or perhaps buy a better quality SD card that does not take so long to become active. I'm not so sure their is a real fix to this problem. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

I got that last night, and simply deleted the storage "1" folder, and reset the device. I think.
Just to clarify, which part of the memory holds flash memory that doesn't get erased even if both the Main and Backup Battery run out?
From what I understand, the Ramdisk in WM5 is not the same as Storage on WM2003se?
How has the 128mb ram and 96mb rom been re-allocated?
Also, where do you guys install most of your small apps, in device, ramdisk or SD and why?
i need help i want a way to make my storage for files more than my storage for programs i use wm6.5 pda2k i dont care if i have to downgrade for a while to do it i have no problem but what is an os that makes u change the space of the storage
if there is i would me helped by u giving me the rom

you are confusing a few things:
you are probably referring to that memory dialogue you had in wm2003 where you could choose the ratio of program and storage memory yourself. that was possible, because wm2003's storage space "\" (like the C:\ on your pc) was actually a RAM drive, and therefor lost, when the battery and backup battery run dry. there was also a 2nd drive, "storage" that had an icon like a storage card, it was 44mb and was persistent, even after you ran out of energy, because it was not ram based but a real memory chip, like in a usb storage stick, that can also hold data without batterys.
the point is: you cannot pick the ratio of program and storage space yourself, because the only storage space you have now, is the old "storage" drive, the 44mb (or in case you resized the extrom space to 128kb and reparted the drive, like 60mb) that old storage, that looked like an external memory has now become your C:\ drive and that ram space you had is now ram. yes, all of it. 112mb, because while wm2003 could easily run with 30mb of ram, you will see, that wm6.5 with titanium and things like that, will easily take up 60mb or more, with customizations or running programs you might get as high as 90mb, and that is why there is hardly any tolerable loss of ram. but if you do want to have a little more space, either look for a rom that has a ramdisk built in of maybe 16mb, then you will have a 2nd drive again, or, if you haven't done it yet, repart your wm2003's extrom, so your basic storage will go up to 60 mb.
if you happen to have done neither so far, at least you will gain another 32mb to your existing 44mb, that is 70% more, and all i can do for you here.

for a wm6.5 rom with ramdisk, have a look for yourself, i just looked in xplode's, sun_dream's and swampy395's rom threads and didn't find any, but they are out there
When you hard reset your diamond, does it remove everything from the phone including the 'internal storage'? Or does the internal storage act like a memory card, and it only removes stuff from 'my device'?

It only wipes Device, not Internal Storage. You are exactly right, Internal Storage is like an external memory card.

i've got a trouble with tomtom , it has installed into "internal storage" and i cant accede to that partition. then when i try to download the map it say I need more space cause it point to the "phone memory" - 95mb- instead than to the external sdcard where there is space in abbundance..... i'm really confused.. please help me
