how to make a cab file for splash screens

hi everyone......i have few pics tht i wanna use as ma spalsh screen but i dun wanna go through the whole process of editin the ms_.nbf through WM 2003 ROM Image Editor n then reinstalllllllin the whole thing on ma xda II......i am sure theres a possible way to create a cab file where i can just upload it through active sync n then install it soft reset n i haf ma special splash screen.......can ne one plz temmme the way of makin a .cab splash screen.......

Perhaps you should look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=12898.
There is a great program on there for converting pictures to .nb files and also a CAB which, when run, will change the boot images.
This does require putting the splash1.nb and splash2.nb files into the /windows/ directory before running MDA3_bootimage_changer2.CAB,
but if you want to just run a CAB file you can just edit that CAB and place your own created splash1.nb and splash2.nb files
in it with the location set as /windows/ (I tried it with WinCE CAB Manager and this way works as well).
I just tested it on XDA II and it works fine.

Is there a newer version, and if so what page is it on in that thread? I wanna change the Verizon Bootscreen on my phone since it's not on Verizon...

[UTIL]Newest SDConfig Tool v2, choice what install... and in different languge!!!

Hi all new version of Sd Config Tool v2:
changelog:
it can install
a) cab files into all sd card and its sub-subfolders (you can choice what and where install them);
b) tsk files
c) provxml
now it recognize automatically "sd card" name (so you can use it in non ITA and non WWE roms!)
now it recognize automatically the rom language (ITA, non ITA -> English langiage into it, but you hexediting strings, can translate in all languages you need! )
execute directly autorun.exe (the right way is: "\windows\autorun.exe" RUN), so after softreset never need to recostumize thenmail account, and maybe never lost your preferences....
try it and tell me what about newest SD Config tools v2!!!

I released version 2:
what new???
1) multilanguage support (ITA-WWE), it recognize automatically.....
2) automatically recognize the storage card name, so, you can use it in all languages rom;
3) directly runs "\windows\autorun.exe", so maybe you never lost your costumizations....
try it (you can download v2 version at 1st post!!) and tell me what you think about....

My Diamond broken, I Closed the development - This Kitchen is in Brazilian Portuguese (Portugues do Brasil). You can chose, the program you want.
It is based in Lobsterdave Kitchen, Da_G Xip and Sys, and Daniel (Orkut) EXT , OEM files and the “lessons”, thanks to all.
Windows Mobile Professional 6.5.3, OS CE 5.2.28008
Free Storage Memory: 111Mb
Free Storage Program: 56Mb

Instructions Kitchen:
PHP:
Step 1. Extract to a folder (e.g. "C:\Kitchen" but at least to a location that
includes no spaces in the path).
Step 2. Run erviuskitchen.exe
Step 3. Click "load rom"
Step 4. Choose 28008 (Titanium only)
Step 5. Scroll down to section labeled "COMMON: External_Packages" in blue text
Step 6. Double click packages here to enable or disable them (first column reads True
for enabled, False for disabled)
Step 7. (Optional) Click "Save ROM" and choose a file name, to save your package choices
for loading in the future
Step 8. PagePool is now set in the kitchen, click "other" (top left) and choose the desired
value
Step 9. Click "Create ROM"
Step 10. ROM is created in kitchen folder \RELEASE_Diamond, you can either flash it with
the included RUU.exe or or copy the file diamimg.nbh and place on Internal Storage to flash from
there, put Diamond to "USB Trigger Mode" through holding VolDown+Back while pressing reset,
after a few seconds Diamond will ask you to flash DIAMIMG.NBH, press PowerButton
to start flashing.
Additional information:
Change log for v1:
- Restored Personal hidden items.
- Installed ATContacts program.
- Installed “Showcase” program.
- Installed YouTube, AudioBooster BrightStar, CyberonVoiceSpeedDial, MP3Trimmer, StreamingMedia, TouchFLO, VoiceRecorder, Zip, etc.
Additional information:
- I use SPL 1.93, and Radio 1.11.25.01, works fine.
- I use Skype, Garmin Mobile XT, etc., it is stable and fast.

The ROM has a automatic configuration tool, you insert the Claro chip, turn on the Diamond, after some minutes, they make all the job, you need only confirm the screen.

The ROM is ready, with the apps I normaly use, and you can not put or remove the programs.
Read the link bellow, "Upgrade Radio", "Upgrade to Hard-SPL", and "Diamond Upgrade Guide".

Congratulations, very good ROM, I installed it on my Diamond and it works very well, programs such as GPS IGO8 Destinator7 and 8 and ran very fast, this ROM uses little RAM, and the translation is also very good, he is the man! Manila 2.1 can be installed?

You need to run the "Erviuskitchen.exe", in the first post you have the instrution to create the "nbh" file.

Missing a file in the Windows folder

Hello all,
In the WWE Rom I flashed recently, I missed the file eT9.Rhodium.040C.kmap.txt (which can customize the French hardware keyboard). This file is in the WIndows folder of most WWE Roms. Could someone please upload it or sent it to me ?

hello,
after installing last energy rom (thanks to him btw), it seems that it delete every non QWERTY "eT9.Rhodium.xxxx.kmap.txt" files
so i searched, found this thread and tried to delete the existing file and replace it with this one.
doesn't work..i'm unable to delete it
even if my reg key is set this way:
"07FF"="eT9.Rhodium.wwe.kmap.txt" to "07FF"="eT9.Rhodium.0409.kmap.txt
in order to be "sure" that it's not opened ..
so my question how/why can't i delete this file ? someone has a clue ?
edit : well i tried editing the file : no way it's read only...
now i'm clueless, how did u guy's achieve changing it ? editing the rom or something ?

I make a dowload file underneath with 2 manila files the (5c9aa261_manila is a mode9 file don't change something in it otherwise it will not work),it is for creating the all tab background, the (4a087s41_mania file) is the picture for the background,you have to use both to get a result you can only change the 4a087s41_manila file to a different picture you like best,if you got problem to change the picture on the file let me know I can show how to change, at first put the files in you windows directory and look whether it works,to change to a different picture is easy. Greetings!!!
