So somehow, my microSD has compacted all the files into one huge corrupt file with characters that the computer doesn't recognize. Is there anyway to recover the files?

I just got new 32GB MIcroSD,
I having problems with copying files to card from PC and Rhodium, Under folders files are getting corrupted, Any reasons why?
Have you run an error check on the card? I would recommend running a file system check, or copying important files off of it and completely reformatting the card. Over a period of time in a device like the Rhodium, microSD cards can become corrupted and can lead to disappearing files/folders, corrupt files, and other quirky behavior.
After I partition my SD Card, I been trying to transfer (drag & drop)files to the card and some how it seems not to be writing the files, I even try deleting files and as I open the card with Root Explorer the files are still there like nothing have ever happens. whats the issue, please any help would be appreciated. What I need to do.
Do you have access to a card reader? It is likely that you need to format the card, even repartition it.
When I attempt to backup my SD card by copying all of its contents to my desktop I get an error near the end of copying that says that 4 files names are too long to be copied. And to manually change the name and copy. How can I copy my whole SD card over without getting these error messages?
Is there a way to copy SD card files while in recovery I'm using TWRP.
My SD card is unreadable getting error SD card damaged try reformatting. Ive connected my phone to PC but it doesnt see SD card.
When I'm in TWRP I can see all my files. If I could just copy them to PC I could reformat without losing my data.
Thanks for your help
I have my pictures stored on my 32gb SD Card on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and they have accidently deleted. I am wanting to know is there any way I can get my pictures and videos back? If I have to root my phone to get the files back can some one direct my to the files I have to download and install to root my phone. I am new at rooting and if I have to do it to get the files back then I will do it. I did have a lot of pictures on my SD card in my phone and I really would like to recover them.
HERE
No root needed to do so. Good Luck
No Luck. I need to be able to mount my Note 2 via USB. The program you directed me to does not check files on my phone only my PC Hard Drive. I need a program that can recover files on the Note 2's SD Card.
You're talking about your removable ext sdcard, correct? (since you referenced 32gb). If so, take out your ext sd.... put it in a micro SD adapter... plug into computer. ..and use one of many sd card file recovery programs. Just avoid writing to your card until you try to recover files (risk overwriting).
