please in first sorry for my english, but i'm new on this board and i want to know the way to unlock and install apps on my at&t tytnII 8925.
I know there are a lot of readme about this sure.... but in some step what i do?
Is new and not unlock for work in italy, becouse i leave in italy i want to put inside a TIM sim.
please write to me the steps from for starting to use my htc . .

If i know something in first i ceck my rom version?? rigth... and then i will to downloading the exactly rom for my htc. . please write me the steps about unlock sim , change WM , change the necessary for hack my htc.

Hi all.
As said , Newbe with XDA IIi with either a dutch telfort sim and / or an Israel cellcom sim looking for a way to get it working with either or both
being a newbe means:
1: how do I find out the version of ROM
2: How do I find the imie #? (do I need some special software to be able to see / extract it?)
3: Im propably forgetting a lot of other questions...

Ive done the 1st steps after reading your instruction... I extracted the info and deleted the blanks... Im left with:

Does that mean I have to upgrade before I can unlock the sim?
...which sim should I use? (Dutch Telford or Israeli Cellcom) (I am in IL but not sure if Cellcom works with O2)

Well, unlocking SIM is not yet available for XDAIIi.
We are working on a program that can do that.
You can also go to www.imei-check.com to pay for unlocking.

i have bad news. I called T-Mobile today to ask if there would be an Update for the MDA Compact 3. The answer was : NO, there will be no Update...

I read that it would be possible to use the O2 Rom or the official HTC ROM if i CID Unlock my device. I would pay the 28€ to imei-check if this is true..
Can anyone tell me if this will really work?? Does this work without other hacking of the device??
You don't need to CID unlock to upgrade to WM6.
Check the upgrading forum..

Make sure you install enablerapi.cab before else you'll end up with a bricked MDA and have to restore it through bootloader!

I have newly purchased a pure white SoftBank X02HT...
It is my second WM phone...
and it is the first time I ever think about modifying it...
I bought it in Toronto, Canada... The phone has already been modified...
and unlocked...right now it is knowing itself as a Dopod C730...
it is currently a Traditional Chinese/English...
however...there are still many parts that are English only...
I have no problem reading English...
but then there are songs that I would like to have in Chinese...
also...it does not have Chinese input...I really want to know...

but more important... my camera is not working...

have a similar situation here.. I have an unlocked x02ht with the dopod730 rom and would like to install the Softbank ROM so I can use all the Softbank mobile features... but 1. where to get the rom 2.what is necessary to install it?

I had Softbank, turned it into DOPOD C730 to unlock and use outside Japan. Now I lost the softbank access point password.

Mine start, but over 40 seconds after boot, this message ( appears and i can't use the cellular "SIM lock. You can still make emergency calls if you service provider supports it"
I've tried with 3 different SIMs and without SIM and i get the same message....
I think that installing a new software maybe will fix it, but ... i don't have any idea of how could i do it.

i am very new in this handheld business and before i go ahead and crash the device i thought i could get some assistance , i already read some of the threads regarding from french to english and chinese to english.My thing is i just bought this yesterday in italy and once i get started with it . reallized that the whole thing is ,in italian its from a cell provider called TİM in italy.So can anyone guide my step by step what to do in order to make this device all english

You must download from ASUS 2 firmwares, ENG and CHN.
Extract in your SD the folder 2577 from ENG version
Overwrite autorun.exe in SD\2577 with the one in CHN version.
Put your SD in your p320 and play!!!
The difference is in autorun.exe, chinese version doesn't check language, so you can flash what you want!!!
Thanks i will try it as soon as possible , since i work on a cruiseship , the internet connection is very bad , so first i have to get the chinese firmware since i have the the ENG version , from the CHN version i just need the autorun.exe nothing else right and delete the autorun from the ENG version.

i tried to flash the english.bin using the chinese autorun.exe but it still doesn't work , i even tried to flash the whole chinese 2577 file first to see , if that would make a difference , in the end it still gives failed message (during soft reset) or it tells me to ensure its the same language .
So i am looking for other ways.
Please anymore assistance is needed

Ahmed, I'm from Egypt too.... (and my name is Ahmed as well).
I seemed to have found a lot of programs for arabic support for touch screen pocket pc's but not for smartphones like the cavalier, do some searches online, maybe you'll get lucky!

I don't know of any rom that supports Arabic for our phones. Kinda sucks.
Did you buy your phone from Vodafone Egypt (only ones that sell it here) or from overseas unlocked like I did?
Because if you bought it from Vodafone it should already support arabic.
The only other thing I can think of is if you go to the official agent for HTC here in Cairo,

They are actually very professional and may be able to help you. I know for sure they can change your board and it would have arabic, but that would be pretty expensive.

yes i bought it from vodafone Egypt
but it stil doesnt support arabic although there is arabic letter printed on the bttons itself ... thats wierd ...
the thing i noticed today is that on my phone box the Stars-Suite logo is printed on it .... stars suite is an arabizing suite ... still lookin 4 it
but maybe i should give HTC a visit so i can see wut can they do 4 me

I originally bought one from Vodafone, but I couldn't unlock it to work on mobinil, tried websites, abdelaziz street, everything, and no one could unlock it, so I returned it and bought it from overseas.
Definitely give JOVITronix a call or a visit, maybe they'll help!!

. I also got it from vodafone and unlocked it, the problem is i upraded to WM6.1 and the keyboard layout is just not right when i try to use the "FN" key .
