O2 XDA IIs cannot vibrate - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

The Vibrate function of my O2 XDA IIs doesnt work anymore. I've already hard-reset it but the problem still not be solved. Please help me guys.

Did this happen after a new flash? Try a new rom.
or
Maybe you opened up the device or even dropped it? Open it up and check the cables or get someone to do it for you.
If none of the above, do a backup, and then do a format by doing a hard reset and then pressing record and camera immediately after during the boot screen.
select options 2 and 3 by using those buttons and then press mail to apply.

Disabling the camera button

I get really fed up with the camera turning on everytime I accidently press the button. So I set the camera button to 'none' which did the trick, until I soft reset. I have to re-do the change after every soft reset. Have any of you come across this problem or better still have a solution?
I even installed Battery Pack Pro but the 'power button' settings are ignored, so if I set the camera button to none for both tap and hold when I press it the camera appears!
Please help this is driving me mad.
Are you on WM5? It might be an unresolved issue.
Otherwise, try to assign a different application to the camera button and see if it remembers it.
I'm using 2003 se.
I'll try allocating a different app and see if it's remembered.
thanks

what is your device model my friend???
T-Mobile MDA III running the standard T-Mobile ROM - although I have upgraded the radio ROM. But this problem has always existed.
just go at the windows/startup directory. You will see there a camera_detect program. This is what reassigns the camera application on the camera button every time you soft reset. Just delete it.
Brilliant.
These things are so easy when you know the answer!
Many thanks.
i had that same problem and fixed it the same way =)

HELP crisis...password not working

Could someone pls help me. I recently purchased a Xda exec off ebay. It arrived and was working fine, no problems until i created a password.
I turned my screen off then it prompted me to enter my password when i turned it on again. I put in my password but and it kept saying password incorrect. I tried several times with caps on and caps off but still it wont work.
I did look on the interent for the master reset and it mentioned holding in the 3 soft buttons and the reset button together but this doesnt work either.
I phoned orange and they wont tell me the master reset as i bought it from ebay and the seller has not answered any of my emails.
I also took it to a mobile phone shop and they couldnt help.
Please can anyone help.
Thanks
looks like a stolen unit...sorry..the ebayer tricked you
as i said..think he saw you coming...now orange know that!
well, i dont know how did you setup your password, but i'm sure if you remember the correct pass you won't not be able to enter your system.
And, the hardreset is a very tricky move, you'd better try like this:
1. poweroff your device, and remove any cord/line/wire connecting to it.
2. remove the battery
3. hold the buttons firmly
4. put in the battery
5. wait for a minute, if nothing happened, try press the power button
6. there may be a screen asking you to confirm, release all buttons and push the one it mentions.
7. done.

[Q] Galaxy Tab 3 Magical Password

I have just purchased the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (GT-P5210) and on trying to use it today, it somehow has decided it wants a password to let me in. Prior to this, I had only to swipe the screen and it would open.
I have no idea what the password it, and a reset does nothing (restarting). I have tried my email password, and several other password combo's but no luck
Anyone have ANY idea how this happens and what do I do now?
Thanks!

No idea how our why it would happen unless someone did it but I factory reset will fix it.
Edit: just in case you need it. To do this, power down the tab, in this order press and hold the menu button + volume up + power. When the logo shows release the power button only. It will enter recovery mode with errors. Release all buttons and press volume up or down to highlight format system/ factory reset. Then press power to select.
It will do some things before rebooting and the password should be gone.
The order of the buttons being pressed isn't really important, I just find it easier this way and you do need to make sure you have the first two buttons pressed BEFORE the power button.

Thanks, I read that post, but this make me confused "Some M8 phones have the problem of the power button getting stuck in the plastic around it and thus keeping itself pressed"
If I press the button, its feel like a click, like working. Its the same problem? I ask because english is not my main language so I want to be sure
