one problem i see since i have got this diamond thingy, it doesn't play any movie i load onto it,tcpmp doesn't get install at all gives error msg no matter what version it won't install therefore avi files can not be played nor i was able to play any movie in windows media player,o ye it does play whatever is pre-installed in it,any idea what the problem is???
I use Coreplayer to play movies of all kind.

bro,i installed so many media players included coreplayer but it won't play any movies,msg comes up either not compatible or some other errors...!

Well "bro" I never had any trouble with coreplayer(version 1.25) I install it and works right a way. I have installed different kinds of rom and now I am using Elite 1.0 and it works well on it too...
Did you hard reset your diamond?

switched even between roms bro but no luck
btw whats in elite rom,hv u tried latest euro or asian 1.37? i tried both, same no difference.
Core Player v1.2.5 Build 4506 works fine.
Coreplayer(latest version) works fine.
I ran it with the Elite 1.0 ROM and now with the 1.37 Asia ROM.

Whhen you install coreplayer, you have to go in preference and go to page named "file association" and select your desired format...

i can install coreplayer 1.2.5 no problems and as you said select your desired format as i did that too,it still says internal storage/mp4 or avi or watever unknown format, and as i mentioned my diamond doesn't let me install tcpmp media player at all it gives error and then anything i try playing through windows media player doesn't play either,this is very strange and don't know where the problem is.

did you try playing other avi formats? What i recall is that there was an option i had to change too. I had to change QTV to Directdraw and after that, it played all my avi's and mpeg's.

hard reset one more time and this was via internal software "clear storage" with full internal disk format option,wiped out everything then instead using disk method for transferring files i used old sync method and transferred movies,it worked this time and its working BUT question still remains why can't i install any of tcpmp mdia player,hv you tried bro? n ye you helped too,it did need to change FROM QTV to direct draw.thanks

I have installed WM6 Cingular Edition on my 8525 and everything works fine except that media player can no longer see my storage card. I update the library and it says it adds the songs but I can't find them anymore. I can manualley open files but that is all.

I had the same issue... It even existed after I updated to a new ROM.. Delete everything from the following folders:
WMDRM
MSMETADATA
Media Player will work fine now..

Unfortanetly that didnt work :-( It says it adds the songs still but I can't access the storage card under the filter at the top and none of the songs are in the library. I can find them if I go to file==open==storage card but than I need to do that for everysong I play..

I have the 2790b, successfully flashed wm6.1, thanks to tommy's software and this top place!
I have tcmp player and it works, but windows media player wont, I loaded the old wm5 codecs found here, still same.
How can I either get it working or delete the program?
It also keeps launching itself with "storage card inserted, search for video files"
I have d/l the kitchen files but not loaded yet, will that help?

Perhaps if you do a hard reset will wipe out the problem

I know this has been said many times but I really can't find a solution for this to work.
Things I have tried:
1. Connect .swf to .html, open with IE and Opera
2. AngryByte's SWF loader
3. Others I can't even remember
Softwares I have tried with these combos
1. Flash Lite
2. Adobe PPC 7 I think, not sure of the name
3. Just plain opening it with IE and Opera
Any ideas? Thanks

Install it and associate .swf-files to the appzone.exe in the FlashLite directory (I used TotalCommander to do this). After that your Flash Games should run. Works fine on my HD.

next problem is looking for simple games that it cant play, lots of lags and not enough memory error...only around 1/5 of my game collections are playable
when I instaled core player since then I can not open any youtube clip, it says "this file can not be played", then I tried to uninstal core player but the problem is the same, does eny one have eny solution, thnx

I don't think it has to do with you installing the Core Player. Do you have a cooked ROM flashed?

I'm pretty sure it's not Core Player's "fault" why your youtube is not working. Try soft reset, or Clean RAM if you have it.
Your device is out of memory, so youtube can't play video's

Well, I don't think memory is full, since it said "this file can not be played". If it was out of memory, it would say "storage full".

Your phone has to kinds of memory, just like a computer:
1. Storage space, either on phone or in combination with a storage card
2. Working memory (RAM)
HTC Sense is not designed to work on your Touch HD, there isn't very much RAM to run it. The Sense interface is loaded into your RAM so you can use it (show clock, tabs etc), but there's a litte RAM left to run other programs (eg Word etc)
In order to watch YouTube video's, the video has to be downloaded to your device via wifi of 3G. The video will be loaded into RAM to enable the user to watch it.
It happens that there is not enough free RAM to load the video, this RAM is already occupied by other programs, with HTC's Sense as the biggest user. The script on the other thread disables Sense (freeing memory), opens Youtube and afterwards starts Sense again.
If you're scared to run the script, you could also try to uncheck all items in Start Menu -> Settings -> Home -> Items
This way Sense can also be disabled.
Now try starting Youtube from the Start Menu
