Universal AKU 3.5 out now (new thread)

This is a AKU3.5 Rom. It is based on a Benq P51 AKU 3.5 Rom.
OS 5.1.342
Build 15698.3.5.0
SP AKU 3.5
newest Test2 release !!!!! WLAN working !!!!
As aresult of the removal of the roms from the ftp (I heard from it on 21.02.07) the rom won't be updated anymore.

I've got a quick question on the ROM, how much free memory space do we get on the AKU 3.5 after soft reset?
and does AKU3.2 and AKU3.5 use different PIM databases?

I got 30 MB free space after first softreset.

I have flashed with this 3.5 ROM but there are not the extras that helmi includes in his ROM that are so useful, such as a VGA version that really works (with changes to menu fonts etc ...)
Are there additional programs anywhere else ?
Also does not have Windows Live & the new icons in Helmi's ROM

no dude ... its a vanilla version
no additional stuf... whatever you want you will have to install it for urself

Seems to me that Ivars rom is a 'vanilla' rom where Helmi is more features....
Would be user preference then.
If you search about you should find some of the apps.
Looking forward to trying this as even though Helmi's ROM is great I don't use alot of the extra apps.

YEAH.... I AGREE... helmi's is a amazing rom but then its always better to have assorted softwares... according to ones likes... any idea about the smart dial functioning ??

Uhh sorry my fault. Now its corrected.
There are no extra apps, because i want to know how stable it works. Extras are added afterwards, when the rom works really good and stable.

Smart Dial
This doesn't seem to be working on this ROM either, I really need this.
I can see your point about not including software if people don't actually want it but most of that included in Helmi's are pretty useful especially VGA.
Icons are only pretty but it is good to see a change from the standard ones.
As Smart Dial doesn't work I can't see how people will want to use 3.5 at all, stable or not.

Just a note to inform you that the Sip Config Tool is still under development.
It was not ment to being released as part of roms yet.
The cooks that approached me for permission would have found that out.
Pleaes direct all comments / questions / thoughts to this thread
There will be release within the next couple of days that allows you to switch between "Configuration Profiles Easily"
PS. Other Cooks take note NOT FOR RELEASE IN ROMS ..... yet

Sorry for no contacting you about including your tool in the ROM. As I see it cooked ROMs can have little problems because of the software included but bug reports are always welcome...I imagine this also is good for you if someone tells about any problem with your application.
I/we will welcome any new release, I can assure you it will be included in next 3des releases

of course it might not have been the Rom perse, but I add very few apps.

There's no problem with flashing again same SPL and Radio, but if you still want an OS only NBH, tell me, will upload to rapidshare/megaupload.

Just flashed my Diamond with this new ROM, and something seems wrong.
Only 4 city's are available for Denmark, but in the original a lot more city's was available.
Also the weather-update seems to be not working (browsing/networking is working).
Flashing back to .3 DAN

Try to copy these three files into \windows folder and overwrite!

It's not ROM fault. I've accidentally uploaded the wrong version of TouchFlo 3D Manilla. It's for Asia Region. The only file needed to be replaced to fix the problem is 2330fc3c_manila inside the Windows directory. The Manilla needs to be disabled first in the Indstillenger > I dag > Elementar >TouchFlo 3D before replacing the file.
Error in updating the weather is normally caused by an error with your service provider internet/GPRS/3G/Edge/HSDPA/WAP connection or misconfiguration. So, it's not the ROM hopefully. Because mine is just OK here.
I've included the file below and updated the first post with the correct Manilla version. Sorry for the mistake done.

This was my 8. or 9. flash, and this was the first time weather-update was not working.
Surf/mail was working, so maybe a temporarely problem with the weather-server.
No big deal - I just love flashing to something better.

It's what we called options, alternatives or preferences.
You have the options, alternatives or preferences to choose from.
There's not muchbut there's some differences of course. You have to read post #1.
Think of these. Why are there so many computer presentation programs created? You have Impress, PowerPoint etc. Why are there so many OSes developed.? You have Mac OSX, Windows XP, Vista, OS/2, UNIX etc. From those programs and OSes you have the tweaked ones like Lite editions, linux distros etc. Why?
...And one last question. Why are we or you here in the first place?

don't get me wrong; I have been here for quite a while and have had great pleasure of the forum with tons of different ROMs for my Wizard, TyTN, Herald, TyTN II and now the Diamond ... the first 4 devices were slow per default and the custom ROMs created were improving lots of things; lastly my TyTN II where I installed a WM6.1 ROM - great stuff - great forum ... BUT : The changes in the ROM you are offering are almost none; no great improvement in speed - no new WM etc ... So why flash from the original ROM to this one ?
Anyway - you answered - thanks - not for me ;-) - however good work, and nice of you to take the time to make a danish ROM. Doesn't happen often.

It's my attempt to make clean, fast and stable rom close to official like I do for Prophet. This rom based on the latest Diamond 2.00 rom and 20757 build from HD. I'v been tested a lot of builds and think it's optimal choise.

hddeddie, I didn't try my rom with cdma diamond. If official 2.00.241.1 works - then my rom have to work too.

Does this keyboard includes Russian keyboard, dialer and so on or only version 2.1 from 4pda.ru has this features. It will be nice if you will place all your roms here and describe the difference.

That's because I run 3 Diamonds with your A.Z.T.O.R X2 Ultimate without any bugs and fast! Donations on the way!

i did make the rom myself, but before i did that i have been chekking out different NLD roms. the original was taken from HTC. and i wanted to make a rom whit all the good things off the roms i tested, so yes i coppieed some things from other roms and edited those. but most of the tweaks and edits are made by myself
