hi all my friends i wants suggestion from can i upgrade the nokia BP-4L in xp 02 because it is very powreful battrey and its gave talktime 10 hour in nokia hand set can u gave suggestion is it doing well in atom battery because our atom not give not more than 2 hour talktime because this problem is for all atom users pls help and doing some experiment in atom battery because original atom battery is very bad

U posted the same question in many forums dude. Can't you please read the rules before you spam the forum. Anyways if you want to screw up your phone use any battery except the supported one.

Im still new in this HTC business, but ive purchased my Htc p3600 no more than 6 months ago, and curently im am using
ROM Version : 6.2 EN from Kamba ( TY SO MUCH ITS AWESOME KAMBA)
Radio Version : 1.50.08.11
Well my problem here is that my batery only lasts one day and sometimes barely. And if i use the Tom Tom then i cant reach the end of the day with the same batery charge. I am always checking if i am any program is working in the background but no. Was wondering if is there any prog that will help me maitain my battery or anything that you guys could assist me with.
Or is this something that I will have to get used to? bateries from HTC dont last long?

TomTom will drain your battery very fast
You should install batterystatus
Depending on usage, my battery usually lasts more than 48h, but GPS is a drainer for batteries, and together with tomtom...
Anyway, you should install batterystatus and monitor the battery drain to see if there is any leak. I usually have around 70-80mA with no application launched, but with maximum brightness it goes up to 250mA.
To me Mary 3.3.5 SL is the best when it comes to battery,plus I don´t use HTC Home,HTC Launcher and stuff like that.
I guess those two plugins or apps have something to do,the nicer the rom looks the faster the battery drains and TomTom is a drainer like they say,so if you are using biotouch or some similar app it also make the battery consumption go higher.
I down grade from 1.50 to 1.46 resulting in longer battery life.

yes I was wondering about that too. I got my Atom Life with so called xp-09 battery which drains in hmm 1.5 day.
In some other post I've read about how certain ROMs can drain battery much faster than others. Do you think that's true?

going back to stock rom, wouldn't save your battery my friend. Batteries are not for eternity...you can find cheap ones on ebay

Yep core clock will be same, amount of processes running not much different to 6.1 ROM, 6.5 is bound to zap a bit more juice as morw running and meant for more powerful devices, but even then you can get good battery life on a decent battery.
I use simplo 1550 in Dash and it's outstanding on any ROM and even though over a year old holds good charge.
3 days on 6.1 Kavana Ricky Remade with descent use gf uses it "never shutting anything down" yet still lasts.
So guess you just need a "new" battery if not then could be hardware but can rule that out when give her some juice.

Hello guys, i'm new here , i have a Samsung Galaxy GIO for about one year , all good until now , about a week or so my phone just started to work bad , in fact its so bad i can't watch a youtube video , my battery 100% charged in the morning and then i stay on the phone for 15 minutes and then its shows i have 45% , its draining so fast , i can't do anything , and the wierd part its charging so fast , 100% in 5 minutes and after that i spend 10 minutes on the phone and again 60% battery . I don't know what i have to do , i have a rooted ROM CyanogenMOd - 7.2 nightly gio , and kernel 2.6.35.7 ,I attached a screenshot with my battery life... I wiped my battery status and it's the same , i need help i don't know what to do anymore, and btw im a newbie at rom's and stuff so pls go slow with me . ( and i can't go to Vodafone guarantee because i don't have the default Vodafone ROM )
I had the same, battery could hardly last 1 hour and charging while off began at 75% every time bought a new battery and now its fine..

I understand but , the ROM or an error can do this ? Atm i have no money , but i have a guarantee , how can i find my stock rom ? because if i go to the vodafone with the custom rom they wont fix this..

change your battery with a new one.
I currently have one from dealextreme, 1600 mah gives about 30% more than the origonal batteries, and they cost nothing : 4 euro / 5 dollar with free shipping.
So I could buy 4 of those or buy 1 origional samsung battery with the same amount of money

But somewhere down the line I feel that some time will come where I need to get a replacement battery soon. There is no 3000 mAh battery available for Micromax Canvas A1 currently. You can try using it if it comes in the market in the future.
As for the battery life, that is pretty low what you are getting. If the mobile is not being used, i.e it is in standby and you are getting just 14 hours then there is something wrong, the standby of this phone is pretty good, I use it moderately and I get around 24 hours of battery life, And when I am at home, connected to Wifi and minimal usage easily gives me over 24 hours of battery life. I have also got a whopping 51 hours of battery life once on a single charge with WiFi and minimal usage, i.e when my phone was on standby most of the time.
Can you tell me exactly how is the phone being used? What sort of apps are installed? Its on 3G/2G/WiFi? How is the signal reception? etc. Maybe I could help you more.

Thank you for your response. Actually its my mistake, instead of typing 34 hours I typed 14 hours in hurry Sorry for that. Coming to the battery issue. Somewhere down the line the battery backup is going to deteriorate, so as a caution I wanted to know that is buying a higher mAh battery (if available) would be witty or not? As I heard there are some differences in Voltage and Ampers. Eg. I saw one battery for A116 it had 3000 mAh and 3.7 volts and 7.4Wh. While for Andriod one it had 1700 mAh, 3.8 Volts and 6.46 Wh. So this difference would canse any harm or not?? That is exactly I want to know.

34 hours is pretty normal I would say.
Yes, its natural for the battery capacity to deteriorate, however, it depends on you too. You have to practice good habits of charging in order to preserve the overall life of the battery. Follow those and you should be good for a year or two. By that time we will obviously get batteries for sale in the market which you can replace. It is advisable that you don't put other phone's battery into some other phone, yes, I know both are of micromax and might have the same dimensions, but as you mentioned there are differences at electrical level, which might or might not cause your device to misbehave, why take risk and make the situation worse?
So it's better you make use of the default battery properly by practicing good charging habits and make it run as long as possible, later on if we get a 3000 mAh for our phone then you can surely go for it or even replace the default battery with a new one as I mentioned earlier.

i don't think it is safe;;//
At the first place it doesn't seem a battery to be officially produced by micromax
and watt per hour is different on 1700mAh andon 2200mAh (with a difference of 0.1 v input)
So i suggest you not to take the risk of damaging your phone except for you really want to test it..(wont be a big damage it should be reparable )

I reported about the battery to micromax before buying.... They said buy batteries only from micromax store ......but after 2 days 3000 mAh went unavailable from eBay ....I think it was not the original and micromax consulted eBay after my report......
