Hi All!
I was wondering if its possible to run camera in Samsung i780 working in background. Like recording movies without showing them on the screen.
For example I'd like to check who is touching my phone when I'm away for a moment. Maybe there is some Windows Mobile apps who uses camera in that way?
In i780 there is no possible to start recordning and put this into background
No answer? Is it any way to run any application in background from start on i780?

My problem is that when my device is in landscape mode and i start the camera app it turns in portrait mode.
My question is: is it possible to make camera to work in both poratrait and landscape which will depend on display setting (if device is set to work in landscape so the camera will work in landscape too, if device is set to work in portrait, the camera will work in portrait)
This problem occures in all WM5 versions.
Is there a solution ?

I use wm2003se and got the same ıssue.
the camera app is written for windows mobile 2003 and it has no specific instructions to work in landscape mode.To work properly i has to be rewriten fir wm5
Hi guys, does anybody know if there's any applications available for a camera timer? I'm using an Omnia 7 and it's becoming a bit of a glaring omission, so it'd be great if there was an app for it, and I certainly wouldn't mind paying. Thanks!
don't believe so at present. i haven't fiddled with the camera API, but from what i'm aware it just launches the camera application and requires the end user to capture the image. a homebrew solution might be possible, but nothing has come around as of yet.

is there any change to get the Stock Samsung Android App as a APK to install on a Samsung A40?
Unfortunately they reduced the Camera App on this device.
how they reduced it ? what are the differences ?
For example on the A40 you can only use the bokeh (live focus) - effect, when the camera detects a face. for no reason.
on the a50 you can use this effect on anything you focused on.
Guess it's just another little way to artificially reduce the functions. Same as the missing always on display.

I understand your concern mate but there's currently no way to use camera app from other samsung devices. Samsung releases it's own version of apk for specific devices or else blocks the function if the device is different. I wanted to use Night mode present on S10 on my A50, though the build numbers are same, the app doesn't get installed & when it does, it crashes.
You might need root or someone needs to make an universal port of Samsung's apk.

I wonder if the reason is the lack of depth camera (A50 has it, A40 does not). The algorithm can detect a face and blur stuff around it. But it has no way of knowing the limits of other objects without depth data.
Hi Guys, I'm using note 10+ snapdragon version. Before I update Android 11, I used to the full screen on game call of duty mobile and it worked fine all the time… recently, i am unable to get full screen . the camera hole area is cut out from the game. I tried to downgrade my phone from Android 11 to Android 10 and setting app full screen but it not work. Anyone experience same issue or have a fix?

Try getting Good Lock from Galaxy Store and install the Multistar applet. From there, hit The app size stretch to camera hole and select the apps you want to modify to overlap with the camera hole.
