Good day.
I tried to look up for this in google and search here, and got everything else except answer for my inquiry.
I wanted my 8525 to beep or do something each time I went one minute during a call or a certain time was reached. Is there any way to do that by changing a setting, or would I need a certain software for that?
Thanks,
Anyone?
I really need to be in track of my minutes made in a call, and I would really like to have my 8525 alert me every time I reach a minute or a certain second is reached.
Try Spb Phone Suite !

Hi
I have had my unit for a week now and although I have to do a soft reset about twic a day as it gets slow or locked up, I do love it.
One thing I do have to change though, is the fact that the notification sounds are limited and for me not good enough to "Alert" me.
They seem to be more like gentle nudges rather than a "YOU HAVE A MESSAGE,,DAMN YOU".
Ive missed messages and only seen later on the envelope icon.
Is there a way to change this?
Maybe new tones?
or maybe continuous bleeps telling you something has happend and not just I little light you will not see when in your pocket.
Thanks
TK
May have answered my own question.

Will give it a try.
Hi TK London
Check out www.pocketmax.net for the alarmToday and PhoneAlarm applications. They will give you highly customizable AUDIBLE and REPEATING alerts for all phone and PDA functions.
The built in repeating aler functions in the PPCPE are not very reliable, but these fime apps fix the problem, plus give you some very useful profile set ups, which alloe you quickly switch between different alert profiles (slient, loud, what you need at home, at the office etc) without having to go in and modify all the settings each time
Hope this helps
Regards
Chris
yeah how do you get it so it the message tone bleeps every so often ???
Hi all,
since I bought my trinity I have noticed something really weird and not too cool about this device :
It takes ages to actually start ringing or displaying the call when someone does, I mean, it takes 6 seconds to react which means 6 seconds less to get the phone before the caller gets on my answering machine. I find this totally shi*** plus, it has been doing the same on every ROM I've tried, do you guys experience the same thing or is it just my phone ?
Running latest faman release with latest radio
Thanks !
same here...try not loading it up with too many apps. That helps a bit

You are right, it is a bit slow to answer depending on its state. If the phone hasn't been used since a soft reset, that slows it down. If the phone is in standby, it is slower than if it is awake. I find that when my phone is in standby, it takes from 1 to 2 rings to start ringing on the phone, lag also depends on the provider.
One thing that you can do is to go into start/settings/phone/services/call forwarding, and change the time that the phone diverts to voicemail. Personally, I have mine set on 30 seconds, since it usually takes me ages to get to my phone when it's in my backpack.
you could also search the threads for the phoneboost cab by axel, dont install it as it is only for WM5 but, in the thread he explains how to shorten via registry hack the time the phone answers calls, it helped me with the same issue... tell me if you cant find it, i have it somewhere in another site too...
good luck
Nice thanks for the tip !!
Thats what i did and it works great :
Its a registry tweaks:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0
edit "Script" value to av0pr

A closed shop then !!
Waste of time asking questions by the looks of it....3rd question I have ansked without getting a reply...Have to assume this site is a closed shop !!!
There's nothing wrong with your PDA. Of course if you push the power button it won't tell you the message is received. Indeed, when I have new incoming message the Blue Angel notifies me with short sound stream. If your problem consists of not playing the stream then you should try preforming Hard Reset. If Hard Reset doesn't help, try installing Windows mobile 6(if you are not using it at the moment).
Hope this Helps. Good Luck!
I think it is how the phone works. You can install a third party software to alert you. I use phoneAlarm to correct the situation. It plays a tune when I receive an sms or a missed call and it will repeat itself every x minutes of your choice.
Hi all,
Does anyone know a solution to the following issue that plagues a lot of windows mobile phones.
I did the following test
Nokia calls my Trinity > it takes anywhere from 2-5 seconds before the call appears on my screen, it takes another second before it starts vibrating, and another 1-3 seconds before the ringtone starts.
Worst case scenario it can take upto 9 seconds before you even know the phone is ringing! For the caller this means the second call beep has already started.
When i call back to the nokia, it starts ringing as soon as the connection is established
Anyone know which rom(s), patches, tips and tricks lead to a lower delay?

Bye
i follow the instrustion but my trinity don't have ..\htc\audiogain. So does it work in trinity too?
i don't think that fix will work on wm6(.1)
Did you try or not?.
If it doesn't work, use tweaks2k2, search for it.
Bye

I'm wondering if you, Atropo, did try it and if it works with the trinity...?(and in the affirmative case, which cab did you use ?)
and if not, how tweaks2k2 can help...?
thanks...
Because tweaks2k2 has a tweak to correct ring delay.
But wm device isn't a phone and it doesn't work like a phone about ring.
Bye.
tweaks2k2 can and does reduce the ringtone delay, but to reduce it even more we actually do need a wm6 version of those patches, together we might be able to get instant ring
Easy way to shorten delay.
I noticed this on my old c500 phone, just use an uncompressed wav file 22 khz mono instead of wma or mp3. it takes up time to process these file formats. I'm not really bothered, if someone can't wait a few seconds for you to pick up then it's not important. you can also lengthen the ring time untill it goes to voicemail.
Good morning,
I seem to have a slight problem. Whenever I take my phone off the silent mode (which is not a lot) and put it either on notify with a sound or buzz it does not do anything when I get a text unless I leave the screen on. Strangely enough it does work when I get an incoming call.
Is this because I have it on silent for days on end? Or is there something wrong?
Even though its not a massive problem for me, it is somewhat annoying sometimes, as at times I want to be notified
Hope someone can help me!
Regards,
priscilla
I believe this the same problem I am having! Was just about to make a post about it.
The message tone doesnt go off when the recieving a new message. Never really wondered whether it had anything to do with turning it off silent before though.
I've had mine for about a week and this issue is really frustraing me, as I've recently had a major ear operation which has rendered me half deaf. So its not helping much
Any help would be great!
Notification Reminder
I was having a lot of trouble with my new TP2 because I was missing all my notifications. The thing is in my pocket always but I had to pull it out and look at the screen every 15 minutes just to see if I was missing anything.
The solution for me is a program that I use on my Treo Pro:
http://discussion.treocentral.com/treo-pro/177846-treo-alert-pro-treo-pro.html
This nifty little thing will keep bugging you (if you want it to) until you pay attention.
giving this a bash, cheers mate
i had the same issue. i found two different problems. 1 touchflo would not enable all the sound when taken off silent. i disabled touchflo and had this problem again. after some research i went to settings/sounds and notifications/notifications tab. the box was unchecked for programs and alarms. checked the box no more problems

Ah, I think that that is my problem! I'll give it a try later as I'm off in a few minutes
A big thanks to all the other people that gave a solution too If this doesn't work, I'll try the program.
