P3300 stops when boot is load. - P3300, MDA Compact III General

Phone can be enabled only by "hard reset" on a black background, it is written:
"This operatinon will delete all settings to default manufacturet. Press Send to restore manufactured default, or press other keys to cancel"
When I choose other key sticking subtitles and it's all. When I choose the handset is against this background is added is the
"Format FAT partitition"
and:
"Format is completed !!"
Then load boot screen, and appears:
"IPL 3.15.0001
SPL 1.11.0000"
Next, nothing happens, how to install Windows?
O.K I know in this situation, windows can be instaled by bootloader.

Loader screen

Hey,
Some of the wm2005 devices show a "loader screen" when you hardreset the device. One of my custom cabs I placed in the extrom, needs you to tap "accept" before it will isntall. The problem is that the "loader screen" is in the way, thus the install just hangs.
Ne ideas on how to get past this??
if it show the dialog and just not response to tabs
moving the focused the actionbutton to the button like "yes" or what even
and pressing the center of the actionbutton works like click
the only problem is: The screen that you should click "accept"
on doesn't show, it is behind the "loader" screen.
Aaargh! :x
In my rom there is a config.txt file that has commands that are run by the AutoRun.exe file.
the first line displays the splash screen:
SHOW:\Extended_ROM\Verizon_Logo2.bmp
the second line Disables the Touch Pad (TP)
EXEC:\Extended_ROM\TPDisable.exe
Then alot of cabs are loaded
The last two lines Enable the Touch Pad and do a soft reset.
EXEC:\Extended_ROM\TPEnable.exe
RST: Reset
If yours is simular, just modify it to not show the splash screen, and make sure the touch pad is enabled when you load your cab.
I have a apache from verizon.
Hope this helps.

new menu shown at bootup

hi
dont know if this is known or not but i saw it for the first time so i am reporting it here
i am currently using wm6 rom
when you bootup your device after a soft reset at that time keeping the backlight button pressed brings up a menu
"enable KITL"
"clear registery hive"
clear storage"
with the option of no/yes in front of them
yes, this is supposed to be there. the top one is a debugging mode and the bottom are self-explaining: the two together do a hard reset.

Hard reset not working

After having thoroughly read the 280 pages of the UM of my Rhodium, I've tried several times (three digits number !) to hard-reset my machine, but alas, without success.
I've tried every possible combination of ON/START/STOP buttons but none works.
I either happen to make the message "do you want to switch off your mobile" (in french, as French am I) or the menu to activate ringer/vibrator etc to appear, but never ever got the ability to hard-reset my unit.
What's wrong with me/my Rhodium ?
Thx in advance mates !
Instructions on how to hard reset are in the wiki. Don't know what these "ON/START/STOP" buttons you mentioned are. The buttons involved in making a hard reset are the Power, Call Send, and Call End keys.
Alternatively, you can go to "Clear Storage" in your settings and follow the directions on screen.

You do know that you need to turn off the device first? Alternatively, do a "clear storage" as mentioned above, if you still have access to your device.

Yes, I do know, thank you for your response, and I tried either way unsuccessfully !
I do have access to my machine but needed it to be fully reset.
"clear storage" works fine, but that does not explain me why the "three finger salute" fails...
You are keeping the SEND and END keys down whilst you turn the POWER on aren't you? then releasing only when you see the tricolour screen
I updated the wiki page the other day to make the steps a bit clearer.
Give it antoher go .

Problems with Hard Reset on a Verizon Touch Pro 2
Hi Guys,
I've had my Verizon version of the phone since the beggining of the week and I cannot make a Hard Reset work either. The combination of Send/End/Power buttons do not work, and on my Verizon version there is no "Clear Storage" item under the system tab in settings. I've watched the U-Tube clip in the Wiki, and I note that HTC's site for the Verizon variant refers to using "Clear Storage".
Looking in the Windows directory there is a Clear Storage html file but there is no ClearStorage.exe. I have extracted a ClearStorage.exe from my Tilt and inserted it into the Windows directory of the Touch but to no avail.
Does anybody have a fix for this? Could this be another "exclusion" by Verizon to stop us working with our phones?
Sorry to insist, but you have turned the device completely OFF, right? So it's not just in "stand by/screen off" power saving mode, but completely off? So that when you press the power button, the phone starts loading WM etc.
Again, sorry to insist, but I couldn't figure out any other reason for the hard reset not to work.
Don't mind you insisting because this issue is stupid. Yes I have turned the phone completely off by pressing the End button until the phone states "Your phone will be turned off. Press No to cancel.
When I attempt the Hard reset it the phone merely restarts regardless of how long I press the buttons.
All this would not be so much of an issue if "Clear Storage" was available. Short of waiting for the first cooked ROM (and therefore Hard SPL) to appear for the CDMA phones, is there any way to put that back? Obviously it requires more than copying the .exe to the windows directory. My Tilt has a 6.5 cooked ROM. Is is possible that the .exe is slightly changed in that one vs 6.1?
Other Verizon phone owners - can you confirm that the "Clear Storage" is missing?
Edited:
On my Verizon, the Clear Storage is on the System tab, under 'Memory'. Select 'Memory' and select the Clear Storage sub tab.
Taken from ppcgeeks:
FOR VERIZON TP2 ONLY (Sprint & GSM have different settings)

I just confirmed that this works on a Verizon phone. I got the hard reset prompt with this key sequence.
For Verizon users that want to do the clear storage through the OS, it's located under Memory in Settings on the Clear Storage Tab.
Settings -> All Settings -> Memory -> Clear Storage
Happy formatting :-D
Thanks everyone
Thanks everyone for resolving this.
This is what HTC Touch Pro2 (Verizon) site says under FAQ "General & Others":
"Q. What does a Hard Reset do and how is it performed?
A hard reset removes all information from your device and returns it to a state just like it has never been used before. All contacts, messages, emails, 3rd party applications, etc. will need to be reinstalled after performing a hard reset. To perform a hard reset, navigate to Start > Settings > All Settings > System (tab) > Clear Storage. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete. This process will take 5-10 minutes".
Clearly no reference to being under the Memory Icon. The link is:

Could we ask the moderator to arrange for the Wiki to be updated for the CDMA vcersions?
I have a Verizon TP2. Clear Storage on my phone is located at Settings/Memory and then the Clear Storage Tab. It asks you to enter a number to reset your phone and restore Verizon default settings.
Edit: Bah, guess I didnt see the second page )

Possibly Bricked?

Can someone help? I think i may have "bricked" my phone. I start it up and the screen loads as normal, although the start icon and various ui elements dont load. After about a minute it comes up with:
"This device is unable to boot because either you have turned the phone off or tried to install and application from untrusted source, press SEND to reset your device or press any other button to cancel, This operation will reset delete all personal data and restore the device to its factory default settings."
I press the send key to start then the application has an error.
"A problem has occured with gwes.exe
etcetc."
Anyone? p.s. if i need a stock rom its an o2 rom i need.
Did you try the Hard Reset?

first time starting XDAndroid and it says "No Service"

I selected com.provision as 'default action' I will try the other default action (after erasing the calibration file)
yay or nay?
Did you let it run for a little bit and then check again if it says a name?
first, which do i select at first? Default action, Com Provision, or what?
IDK, apparently 'setupmodem' script failed at boot according to init., leaving a root shell prompt. if i press enter it boots xdandroid.
