Hi everyone,
i just have receive this toy and i noticed that the volume is too low. I know the speaker is very weak and it will not support a high volume level but im interested in modify something (may be registry) and pump the volume up so i can use headphones and listen some music with a decent volume level.
I already have installed resco registry and i explored registry but im not sure about make some changes if i do not know what am i doing.
Please help me...Volume is too low...
Regards from Mexico.
Hey Juanvera-
I've got myself the same iPaq you've got, and have noticed the same thing... however it'd help if you specified whether you said that this happens with the headphones as well. I know the speaker is quiet, and I've tried several little tools to help but nothing works due to the screen size. My headphones work great with it, with a perfect volume range, but the onboard speaker is quite the opposite. If this sounds right for your problem, then you're outa luck.
If anyone has this problem and has found a solution, let me know too

Problem: volume level in MDA III
Hello,
Description of the problem:
During the phone conversation when using the loudspeaking mode, the volume of the sound is considerably lower than while using the same speaker by other applications (tom-Tom or Destinator). It forces me to use headphones while driving a car. But the experience with other aplications shows than it could be heard louder: both amplifier and speaker have such a possibility.
Has anybody faced such a problem. If yes, what is the solution?
Regards
Zdzich
Wow, good point. I never thought of that but you are right.
Did you try pushing up the volume slider whilst in a call? I know it may sound sily, but I have to ask.
Sure.
Definitely a bug with 1.40 ROM and speakerphone...
so far I have yet to see or find a solution...
I did not have this problem with the 1.33 ROM on my SX66.
Hi Fellas, wonder if you could help me out.
Done a search, but to no avail on this one.
My XDA Orbit loudspeaker has gone distorted on speech lately.Music is fine but speech such as MS Voice command and TomTom sound distorted at high volumes.Seems like the volume is louder than before, like the gain has been turned up or summat.
Anyone know where loudspeaker volume level in the registry is?
Maybe turn that down a couple of clicks may help.Anything so I ain`t gotta change the speaker!
Thanks in advance.
Anyone know where loudspeaker settings are in the registry?
Anyone? ???
Maybe this will help. Not investigated it myself, but maybe worth a read..

That`s very helpful.
Cheers buddy!
How did you get on? I have the same problem, which settings did you use if you got a good result.
Still playing with it at the minute.Definately alters things using the values from the Wizard registry.
I`ll post my final settings when I crack it.
Anyone know how set accounstic parameters works?
I am trying to adjust the fact that full volume on the Phone via the speaker is fine, but then when I listen to music via the wired headphones, I have to turn it dwn to say 35%, then I get a call and volume jumps right up to max and it sound slike the other person is shouting right in my ear.
(Ok that is probably the effect the wife is trying to achieve, but even so....)
I was wondering if this can be achieved by tweaking the set accoustic parameters files.
The first hurdle seems to be that a different file is used per operator - how do I know what my operator ID is?
If anyone can help or make any other suggestions I would be most grateful.

OK really no one knows anything? Just give me a few hints about how this all worls and I will tr and find time to play around with it and work out the rest.
IIRC set accoustic parameters runs on the first setup ? Does it run each soft reset ?
Any info would give me a useful starting point.
Cheers
Low Phone Volume
Do a search on "Low Phone Volume" and you will find a thread by that name in this forum with a great deal of information on this topic.
Has anyone come up with a working solution for the low speaker volume during phone calls on the Touch Pro2? Tried the Audiopara tweak, and lost ALL volume on the speaker, Tried changing settings with "HD Tweak", no effect. FWIW, my ringer volume is fine.
Seems like some folks get results, some don't. My hearing is lousy to start with, so I really need to find a working fix, or ditch the phone.
Use this cab and then reboot
It worked great for me

Makes the button beeps louder, but completely eliminates all phonecall audio!
Not only that, but deleting the cab didn't restore what little audio I had. Had to do a hard reset!!!
Yea .. I have been strugling with this also .. I have a t-mobile tp2
I updated to the new wwe 6.5
The Volume on the incall / ear speaker isnt loud enough for me
( I work const. And have bad hearing )
I have tried very trick in the book and have goten everything to be louder
but the ear volume LOL the speaker the announcements ect .. are good .. even was able to fix the ringer volume and voice command announcements.

Strange, I have it working great and imrpoved the volume a lot!
Perhaps is something related with your ROM
If uninstall not helped, which is strange also, then soft reset and if not hard reset will be the option...
Sorry to hear did not worked for you
I feel your pain, brother! I have 3 of these phones, and am about to give up and sell them because of this stupid problem. What really gets me is that I have seen this same very common complaint (low earpiece volume) with other HTC phones as well. I know of several that have been returned. Don't they pay attention to customer feedback? "Full volume" should be painfully loud, not barely audible. Such a shame to have this be the "deal breaker" for an otherwise great phone.
Some might say to try the SRS WOW HD program, don't do it. It causes lockups and the units don't come out of power down states.
Bump. Bump.

All three have the same issue? Cdma or gsm? My verizon tp2 has very adequate volume and I usually have to have it turned down a notch or two or it is painful to my ear. Same when using the loud speaker. I thought I saw a volume fix cab floating around, might be for specific cdma roms, not sure. I'm wondering if it is more of a gsm v. issue. I agree I have seen this with many diff htc phones, but I can also say I've seen/heard of it with nokia and also other makes. Sorry I have no help, just the comment.
Ringtone Gets Loud In The End

I Need Help With Making My Ringers LOUD!!!!!! LOL and im on 6.5
Related:
I have too LOUD in-call volume from the phone.
Using the built-in volume rocker does NOTHING to the in-call voice volume.
The volume is so excruciatingly painful that I can keep my wired HTC hf set 10cm from my ears and still listen perfectly to the conversation.
Not very practical though.
Is there ANY working solution that makes the Volume controller actually control in-call voice volume during phone calls?
I'm running stock 6.5 ROM with no hacks and no audio related software installed.
Bump
Still hoping for an answer.
Hey everyone, first of all, I wanna say a big THANK YOU to all the chefs on here and all the other xda members. You guys save me from dealing with the suckish ways that all the phones I buy are set up (which apparently these companies think are good... hahaha, yeah...). Well anyway, got a bit of an issue that I need some help with. As I am sure alot of you know already, the ringer volume on the Tilt2 is just AWFUL. I found a couple solutions to somewhat remedy this and give a big boost to the volume, however, I have hit a few obsticles with each. The first was adding the AudioPara4 file to my Windows folder. This fixed the ringer volume problem PERFECTLY, however, it completely kills the mic. Others cannot hear me at all when on calls. The other I tried was a few regestry tweaks. This also fixed my ringer volume (not as good as the first solution did, but my mic still worked so it is tolerable). The issue is not, when my phone first rings, the volume is rather loud and crisp. However, after about 5 seconds, the volume fades down to about half of what it starts at. It doesn't drop out, it is like a 1 second fade effect which would cause me to consider the possibility that this may be a setting (which was a stupid idea on HTCs part if it is, I mean, who wants a fading ringer). I understand the "Increasing Ring" concept (which is the exact opposite of what I have encountered) and am certain that this setting is not enabled on my device. If anyone has any ideas for solutions regarding this "fading" issue, or the AudioPara4 "mic killing" situation, please help. Your feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. YOU GUYS ROCK!
Hope this helps
