WM6 New Build OS 5.2.1413

i just saw this in thw wizard forum
i didnt want to start a new thread but didnt know where to put it. sorry mods
Ive just ported this rom for wizard (and made it WWE)
Stability and speed is such as on 17736 build.
I have no time to develop roms for wizard ( But i probably release some kind of base rom (without any customization) for other cookers.
I think this would be great if our great chefs could port this to our hermes

thats the CE version,
whats the build number?
CE version vary from HTC devices but build numbers are the core of the OS.

do u have a link to the ROM.
i would like to analyse it to see if the CE version and Build Number is original or if it has been edited.
it seems highly unlikely as the latest build number atm is 17742.0.2.x. I cannot tell u how i know this so dont ask,

i hope you will be able to port it to hermes.

its downloaded and im analysing it now.
but you also have to realise that a higher build number for one HTC device does not necesarily mean that its newer than current ones for the hermes.
the highest hermes build is 17742.X whereas wizard might be 179XX, but the hermes build is newer.

Hope your feeling a bit better after people were so nasty about your great work on Black 2.0 I joined recently and cant believe how people can just not read. I spent two days reading through the wiki and found more solutions in there than anywhere else. Well just wanted to say I appreciate the fact you can actually carry on your great work after the dumbasses complained about your greatest work ever. That build is more recent than the one we all have (it is also aku 0.3)

The build in this thread from the prophet/wizard. -although it seems newer due to higher build numbers, is not actually newer for the hermes,
i have checked this with appropriate personnel.

it can be ported on the hermes, but my point is that even though it has a "higher" build number, it does not mean its the latest official build for the hermes.
also, this ROM is in japanese too, not WWE english.

So I ported it to wizard and made it wwe without any problem.
When i release it you will be able to see that i use almost all SYS part from that build. But i had to use wwe mui (from 17736) and some other files to build wwe version.
To tell the truth i didn't see any advantages of that build..just quite stable and fast as 17736 or 17740.

Hey Mun,
I have received word that this WM6 build 17913 is not an official built, in otherwords its been faked...... and the work that went into faking it was more than a HEX edit.

Oh the joy's of Microsoft build numbers, they seem to make it impossible to tell whats newer than what even if people are faking/hex editing roms

there is no hex editing... newest OS is 5.2.1413 (Build 17913.0.3.0)
I ported the coredll.dll to universal and changed the original JPN OS to CHS for a fieand
Compare the new Office packge, it is definitively new

what is the exactly source for 1620 build??

everyone knows 1437 build was the official hermes and trinity, what about 1620 build??

not really offical, it was a TMO Test ROM I think. But the ROM is not edited, so it is perfect for porting.

good notes bro, last question is, what will happen if i didn't use the new xip files in porting?? more clear: if i port the base rom and replace the drivers and become working good on the device, and thats w/o using the new xip files which come with the rom, what will happens?? (after proting the device can pass the booting and can run)

i forgot to tell you about something very interesting, after porting, while i'm testing i found that the windows mobile device center shows the name of the device HTC 3600i ( maybe this actually for 3600 i?? )

I import the Sys folders from last Official Artremis rom.
But How Can I import xip?
Coredll.dll isn't a module and so theres isnt' Coredll.dll S000.

It's WM 6.1 !!!
The OEM is extracted from Hx4700 official latest WM 5 ROM because there is no official WM 6.1 for Hx4700.
So the latest OEM is of course from Hx4700 official latest WM 5 ROM.
The SYS part is WM 6.1 , so it is WM 6.1.
The OEM part is not the system part , only drivers and OEM Apps.
I've edited the 1st post for easy understanding.

- Why not run a global reversemode on all dll, exe & mui files in the \temp\dump directory prior to running g'reloc for extra speed for the ROM?
- Registry entries that may be removed:

I never tried reversemode with 4700.
But I used to use reversemode with my ASUS P525 , some exe are too large size compared with original and my P525 freeze.
But I will try today with 4700.

It'll probably need to have some exclusions as I've had the same sort of issue - so it might need a bit of trial and error...
Or perhaps do it selectively on each package prior to joining them together?

Great work vivi. I've been really keen to try building my own rom for a while and this has made a beginner able to have a go. I have used the kitchen to creat a "lite" version [removing powerpoint, welcome center, games etc from SYS] The build went fine and I ended up with a rom in FLASH, which seemed to be about the corect size compared with, say, Ransses's roms
Bootloader worked fine as it has for me a number of times now, but I could not get beyond the blue HP screen. I tried a number of hard and soft resets amd a lot of patience but it never started up and ended going back to Ramsses version 1e. I've tried 3 times now and same result. I've read all the previous posts here and elsewhere about ensuring hard reset and clearing data are done properly and, as I say, I have flashed my rom over a dozen times now with other 6.1 roms.
Anyone had success with this rom builder ? Any suggestions ?
Very impressed with all the work that is going on ! Keep it up. I dread the day I have to buy a replacement for my Hx4705

When running BuildOS, I get either the error "Could not find file xxx\xxx\imageinfo.bin for packages that aren't selectable or "Error building default.hv and user.hv!" when I try to cook Office2007 into the ROM. Any ideas?

Did you make any RGU changes? HV error's usually happen when you make a RGU change that's not really correct or compatible. Also how are you cooking office in? OEM or sys? I think the packages you have may be intended for sys.

I have not made any RGU changes, just using straight OEM packages. Are some packages meant to go in the SYS folder instead of the OEM folder?

can you describe the office package your adding, is it multiple folders or one folder with the option.xml file in it? if contains option then should be oem.

Is it possible to integrate the latest buildos by bepe (load and save options) because the one with it is very plain and hard to use if you have several OEMs?
Also, is this based off of Abusalza? It says D3 Abusalza each time on the splash screen.

Sounds like you have XIP problems, try recooking from previous working xip.

Is it possible to integrate the latest buildos by bepe (load and save options) because the one with it is very plain and hard to use if you have several OEMs?
Also, is this based off of Abusalza? It says D3 Abusalza each time on the splash screen.

I believe he did this by hex via os.payload.nb
you can use different to see if fixes.

Cooker Please Help with switching WM6.1 imgfs.dll to WM6 imgfs.dll for P3600i

As some people maybe aware, the WM6.1 roms for P3600i crash / reset themselves randomly because the file system on the phone eventually becomes corrupt (folders everywhere with funny char names like 'Z*&!![]') . WM6/Shaps rom seem to be ok.
I thus have a theory / possible work around
I was doing some comparing of file sizes / best guess between WM6 and WM6.1 dlls.
I had a list of file that were different sizes between them... googled them, then eliminated it all down to one maybe two dll's.
The most likley hack/fix would be
WM 6.1 imgfs.dll is 37kb
WM 6 imgfs.dll is 27kb

A dll not in WM6 is sdputil.dll 25kb. - but I dont think this is the problem dll.

Here is my problem...
I have dumped shaps wm6 rom, but I could not find imgfs.dll !!!!!
is there something special about this dll as I see imgfs tools about but dont know what to do....
can someone please tell me the procedure on how to swap the dll's to test my theory?
or maybe do it for me and build a WM6.1 rom with the WM6 version of the imgfs.dll?

imgfs.dll =>> this dll is included in all Rom
it is linked to Rom XIP file for cookers
Certainly related to the size of the memory.
IMGFS.dll is also linked to another file XIP
we need better change the XIP complete.for xip compatibility with p3600I.
Search ROM wm6.1 for p3600 compatibility with p3600I
extract xip for tools ervius or tools donald .folder ROM=>> (os.nb) and (XIP)=>>into xip IMGFS.DLL and other dll ans other file sytem for boot .....
if you get dll IMGFS.ddl to put it in a more rescent XIP for Rom 6.1. it will make a g'reloc or m'reloc (misar tool) to recalculate the memory address
I suppose .... Your solution is too simple to be?
sent a mail or a Schaps or abebacar or ervius or Nikitto ..(master cooker)

basically you can't have a rom work for both p3600 and p3600i and have it be stable. For p3600i roms to work well, it has to be cooked with p3600i OEMXIP and OEMDrivers. All roms out there use p3600 OEMXIP, I believe, but haven't checked all to be sure.

Schaps WM6 rom was very stable - so I'm guessing it is the jump from WM6.1 that has cause the issue.

does p3600i come with wm5 or wm6?
as for p3600 it comes with wm5 and there's no "genuine" oemdrivers & oemapps for the p3600, but only adapted ones...
ie oem from bepes or adw kitchen is not video call enabled..
ok.. whatever
have you already taken a look at the 3d by joncgde2? he tells, that the newer cooked roms are pretty stable on the i (209xx and above)

Don't have a trinity anymore to do this. But for any cooks out there. Don't know how important OEMdrivers is for stability, but I'm sure it'd help as the p3600i does have slightly different hardware. But for sure OEMXip is important. Use the p3600i xip when porting XIP to something newer for p3600i roms. This would mean when cooking you'd have a different os.nb.payload for p3600i and p3600.

well.. here's something new i want to throw into:
imgfs.dll is responsible for accessing the imgfs file system ... imgfs is readonly
if you change something in your devices file system, the responsible dll is fatfsd.dll - so we might also look here.. to get really sure i'd like to extract this from a p3600i stock rom .. then i would cook it into a light rom and you get it to test

BTW: I think the fatfsd.dll file was the same size for WM 6 and WM 6.1 - thus why I did not think it was this dll.
As some one mentioned before, these dll are read only cause they are core files, so you have to do some complex procedure which I have no clue how to do....
