Once you're in the 3 color bootloader mode. Run the flash update that is official for your phone. (ex: i'm with tmobile, so i'd be using the official t-mobile ROM) once you've re-flashed you're phone to your official ROM then you can always take a stab at flashing one of rick's or kavana's roms again. Remember always pull out your memory ( micro-sd) card b-4 performing any ROM flashes. Lastly, don't worry about Activesync not seeing your phone when trying to do this. That's supposed to happen. As long as you have your phone in bootloader ( tri color) mode and have your phone connected to PC via USB. then you're fine to install your official ROM
Dear,

are you sure that your phone is a tmobile dash branded phone? Is there a logo just above your 4 way directional pad? The logo usually tips us off about what branded phone you have.
Secondly, if it is a tmobile brand. Is your phone a USA branded DASH or a UK Tmobile MDA Mail? The 3 ROMS on the link i gave you are only for the USA Roma and wouldnt work is you have a MDA Mail (UK)
Yes, there is a logo T-mobile logo in front side. But there is a HTC logo in the back side.
And this phone was bought in China.
Before i am using WM5 and there many Tmobile softwares in the phone
How can i checked whether it's DASH OR MDA MAIL

I don't guess you can. You can do a search on this forum to see if someone posted that ROM and see if that works

Not sure what to tell you then. The error is basically saying that its a rom that not intended for your device. But if your phone is a USA Tmobile branded DASH then any of the 3 roms on the site I provided you should work. Maybe someone else like rick or nrg or rip syntaxx can give some insight.
I've tried Dash 5,6 , HTC, Dopod official Rom but got the same result.
I can not find the official ROM of T- Mobile MDA Mail.

Well if you're with tmobile USA then go to www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade then select your phone (DASH) then on the next screen type in your phone number and download the ROM there. See if that ROM works. Lastly make sure if you have a micro-sd card installed that you take it out b-4 installing the ROM
wel, i've tried before. But i dont know the correct Tmobile phone number ? Cause i'm not the US . I'm in China.
I'm sure that there's no sd card .

You might try taking out your sim card then. On the other hand, you might also try the dopod ROM sine i believe its the ROM for the china version of your phone. It'd be weird for it to work since you have the tmobile logo on the front of your phone.
Update: Also i took a look at the back cover you're using and MINE which is a US Tmobile DASH, has a different logo. Mine has the windows symbol with a "designed for windows mobile" stamp. Mine doesnt have the HTC stamp. So in reality yours could be one of many branded versions of the HTC Excalibur. And could be some kind of bootlegged device. My suggestion is to try all of the ROMS that are posted on the link i gave you and see if any of them work
As the pics i uploead . There's HTC stamp. So i think that's not Mine as you said .
DO i need to unlock or sth else before instatling ROM ?
Hic, i'm tied with that
My phone have tmobile's logo. And before there's many softs of T-mobile like " t-mobile messenger, tmobile zones .."

You really can't unlock you're phone if you cant get it to boot up like i said. try all of the roms on the link i gave you. It may be that someone re-CID locked it to another carrier. ( not sure how but definitely possible)

What radio ROM version did it work with?
What OS version did it work with?
Did you do the flashing?
Basically, anything that might help us, will help you.

So, you took out the sim (and all was working).
Then you put in a new sim and it did not detect network.
Then you put the old one back and now IT does not detect network either.
is that right? it seems that it cannot be OS or operator issue since this combination of OS/Radio worked before. maybe I have missed something. If it were me, I would just reflash everything.

any help?..................
no body have this prob?
Sounds like it is a SIM problem. Does your new service provider lock their SIMs to a particular phone, is the SIM properly activated? Or perhaps a bad SIM? Contact your service provider for a solution.
Max,
Sounds like you don't have the correct operator settings input into the Hermes. Here in the UK you can do this by either using Schaps Tools or finding the correct operator settings cab and running that on your Hermes first.
I would take the advice given earlier and check with the service provider that your new SIM can be used in any unlocked phone.
Once that is confirmed then I would ask them for their operator settings. To find out what settings you need click on Start>Settings>Personal>Phone and then go through the tabs that are presented to you.
Hope this helps.
Oh, by the way, read up on the wiki that supports Schaps 357a ROM. You can glean loads of useful information in there.
Cheers
WB
I think it's likely to be either something that was mentioned earlier (your new SIM might not work in a 3G phone - just because your old network sim works doesn't mean your new one will)
-or-
you could try looking in the phone options to see if the network band selection has been incorrectly selected manually or, select the correct one manually and see if this has an effect. If not, I suspect the operator's SIMs won't work in the hermes.
HTH,
Smiffy.

thx,Let me make this clear that the sim(ufone) which refuses to work in hermes,I am currently using it in my 3g phone(NOkia 6680)already without any problems and i have already played with schaps tools and selecting various bands from menu but all my efforts were in vain.
Out of five operators in pakistan, only one works fine with hermes and none of other work.....This seems to b very strange as i can open sim contacts, sim messages and sim menu is there as well...and if i search for a network manually it gets the network, but it doesnt get registered on the network..just keeps on searching.
any comments on this?

yeah but hey why do you guys need that rom when you have got far superior roms available on this very site
strange, shouldn't they be directing their questions to HTC? I mean, they are talking about official ROMs and download locations on official HTC site...
i m also from india d problem with indian diamond s that it has a 7206A chi whereas worldwide processor chip used is 7601A i also heard that indian verson r not 3g its only 2g so i am also afraid to upgrade bcoz it would brick my dvice i read in forum that we can upgrade rom but expect radio part how much is it true i dont know but we need some experts comment which will help us
be careful with that rom not sure why but they say
* Once you proceed with the upgrade, the system can not be downgraded again.
Mine is not branded it came from HTC and is unlocked so why would they say this?
You need to install hard-spl first before you could update the roms found in this forum.
Regards,
Carty..
Also, first search for the Indian 2G ROMs in this forum to keep ot handy in case if you brick your device.
Before trying out other ROMs, first update the Radio to the latest one, else the 2G Diamond will not allow phone functions.

Carty..

I bought a new fantastic TouchPro2 Orange-branded.
I would like to install the lastest official no-brand ITALIAN ROM WM6.1 from the HTC website.
But I cannot download it because my serial number is associated to the Orange phones.
Can you help me to find this ROM or give me a valid serial number (so that I can use it again as soon as HTC will release the official WM6.5 ROM)?
Thank you in advance to all.

Sorry for ignorance: if is the official HTC Rom, why do I need to installa HARD SPL?
your phone is set to only allow Orange ROMs - I think it's the CID
if you install HardSpl it allows you to flash ROMs not intended for your device and they also don't need to be signed
if you SIM-unlock your device using this forum you'll have the option to change the CID of your device - this will allow you to use any signed ROM even without HardSpl
but as I'm new to all this please wait till someone more experienced verifies this post
I think the previous Orange ROM was better than the official HTC ROM, anyway it was in english so this one is OK for me.
I'm looking forward to the official release of the WM6.5 HTC ROM !

unbranding HTC fuze and load new SA rom
I have a HTC Fuze At&T phone which I sim unlocked to use on Vodacom/MTN network. The phone software is really crappy and I was hoping that I can get a rom update on this site so that I can flash the SA version and hopefully get the GPS and browser to function.

@ the above: Not true, CDMA TP2's are WORLDWIDE which means they have a SIM-slot aswell.
To the OP: If you want to know what kind of device you have, it's pretty simple. Do you put a sim-card in your cellphone? If yes, which operator/carrier? Where are you located?

Yes its GSM (which is the only service provided in saudi arabia and most middle eastern countries)
And yes you can flash to any rom if your device is HardSPL, just make sure its a GSM rom and not a CDMA one.
If you say you got the rom from the page with countries and 6.5 versions, those are official rom releases ( http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Rhodium/Shipped_Roms ) not cooked roms.

YES! That's the link! I see, but at the time when I flashed my ROM with one of those, it wasn't the official release for my phone because I went to the HTC site and they didn't have it for Middle East yet. Now that they do, I wanna get that official one instead and then remove HardSPL for warranty and stuff just in case.
go ahead and download the official HTC rom for your device and flash it.
As for restoring the original SPL head over to the hardSPL thread and the steps to restore are at the end of the second post.

Thank you sooo much but another question though. The first step on removing HardSPL is flashing the stock ROM. Does that mean I have to flash my phone with its original ROM? Or is it fine with the one that I'm gonna put; which is the official 6.5 from HTC?
