I've been trying and trying to get someone to unlock my LG incite from different web sites, but none of them seem to have an unlock code for my IMEI even AT&T customer service told me they don't have the unlock code for this IMEI
I really like this phone, but I have T-mobile anyways someone is trying to help me find an unlock code right now but I'm certain that they won't be able to and my only hope would be the turbo sim unlock which the ebay person said it would work with my phone..but I've faced many failed attempt and not even sure if this will help me...anyways Can anyone tell me if this Turbo SIm allow me to use the phone or what other methods can you guys provide me so that I would be able to use this phone?
Thank you
Whoever you spoke to at AT&T lied to you. They have the unlock code. Just keep trying until you get someone that will give it to you. Just tell them something like your going out of the country and need to use a foreign sim card or maybe since your a t-mobile customer you can tell them that you got the Incite, but you need to unlock it to use on your service provider.
ATT trulsy does not have unlock code
ATT truly does not have the unlock code for the incite. I have 2 incites that i am trying to get unlocked, tried calling / chatting ATT tech support. They put my imei into their software and got message that phone is not eligible. I have called and chatted with several different tech support people as well as thier supervisor with same response. Even conference in LG with ATT.. same response. Finally ATT gave me a $20 statement credit for next 3 bills which tells me they are not lying.
I have seen other people also with the same issue.
Does any of the techie guys out here know why it is so tough to unlock this specific phone?
OK soo i jus purchased brand new never used ATT branded tilt2... it's still SIM locked-i need to unlock it so i can use it on tmobile.right now i am using the first generation tilt (also att branded) with tmobile service, it runs great and perfectly. i have tried purchasing to get the unlock code remotely twice within the last 2days but both parties said i either gave them the wrong imei or that they cant find the unlock code.WHY IS THIS??? i really need this phone unlocked!!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME! n/or tell me why is it that the code can't be found???~thanks
try this he is well known here http://www.htc-unlocks.com/
what i usually do is call At&t and tell them that i'm going on a business trip overseas and need it unlocked and then they'll email me the unlock code.
Done this for several devices with them.
so i was kinda searching around and seeing if there is way to sim-unlock this device like super CID or something like that....but from what i've gathered there isn't any software unlock available to us....pretty much u have to ask t-mobile or do those sketchy websites that say they will....i bought this phone online and not directly from t-mobile so i'm thinking they won't give me the code......maybe i missed something? help would be appriciated.
I purchased mine on craigslist and tmobile gave me the unlock code. I went on there online chat and they emailed the code within 12 hours.

You can get the unlock code through online..........give your IMEI number and get the unlock code for ur mobile.... i will suggest the website which is doing good service .....you can approach this website. This site is nearly perfect and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums. I used them to unlock my cell phone. contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked.

I never heard of a service provider charging for an unlock code.
BTW to OP
it does not matter where you got your phone, as long as you're in good standings with your service provider they will offer you the unlock code for free.
1 per number every 90 days.
Try this for non-carrier unlock its 25 bucks I think

Contact Samsung. T-mobile will give u the unlock code but for whatever reason u don't want to go to them just call Samsung. Goodluck getting through though.
P.s. T-mobile doesn't have ur unlock code anyway. They provide you the service of getting it from the manufacturer for you. In this case.....Samsung

If someone has a better answer for a technical question, there's NOTHING wrong with reviving a thread to provide that answer. I use Google all the time to find answers, and I don't care how old the thread is if the answer works. I want the best answer.
If your complaint is you think the guy is spamming in his answer, then that's a different matter.
This phone is still being sold and people are still looking for the best way to unlock it. The "T-Mobile" T989 SII variant is superior to the AT&T variant. It has a faster CPU (1.5GHz vs 1.2GHz), a bigger screen (4.5" vs 4.3"), and is QUAD band. Once unlocked it can run on both AT&T and T-Mobile HSPA+. Right now it's being sold at a big box store for $299, without contract.

T-Mobile reps are the worst. The service is great but the people aren't. Had to get a replacement phone for my hard-bricked T989 and the lady did not understand that my phone was broken and asked me multiple times if I was calling from the device in question (the one I've told her atleast 10 times is completely broken and wont turn on or do anything). It is much better to try to keep asking a different chat rep before going to another website because most of the time they are just in a hurry to get done talking with you. Try a different chat rep.

Holy, here in Canada they grab 50-75$ to unlock your phone...
Tmobile will not give it
I am not a T-Mobile customer and they refuse to give me the unlock code for the device. I have spoke with two different chat reps and one on the phone. I also have spoke to Samsung and they said they could help unlock but I would have to get the Network Lock Code from T-Mobile not sure what that is or if that is actually what I am trying to get rep could have been an idiot.
Edit: I purchased an unlock code from Cellunlocker.net for 24.99 for my SGH-T989 worked perfect and took only 3 hours to get my code
So to be clear, if I want to sellmy Telus phone to a Rogers user, we have to call rogers for an unlock code using the guy's Rogers sim card?
I tried that "Galaxy S2 SIM Unlock" app and it didn't work ... kept crashing aroung pass 4/5 ...
got online with T-mobile customer care chat, they wanted me to fax them a copy of my receipt showing I purchased the phone from a T-mobile store ... but I gave them the IMEI and they said this:
"!Ivy G: I have filed the request to unlock your phone. SIM subsidy unlock requests do not have a set time limit in which they are processed. However, in many cases they are processed within 24 hours. If we do not have the unlocking code, and we need to contact the manufacturer, that process may take up to 14 days to get a response. T-Mobile cannot guarantee a response time or an unlock code for all equipment, and not all equipment will be eligible to be unlocked.
!Ivy G: If the SIM Unlock Team and the manufacturer cannot provide an unlock code, you may need to exchange your device or purchase another device. We will send you an e-mail when the request is completed, delayed or denied. If completed, we provide you with the unlock code and instructions on how to enter it in the e-mail. Be aware that your e-mail service may block our message. To prevent the e-mail from being blocked, please allow e-mails from [email protected]. Your unlock request confirmation number is #xxxxxxx."

I have tried unlocking my discover and I called AT&T they told me that I couldn't unlock the phone because it was strictly for AT&T. Not sure if that is true or not because I looked at unlocking sites and they say that they can unlock the phone but im not too sure how true that is.
Sorry if that was not any help but being as I have the same phone and tried the calling at&t way of doing it thought I would share that with you.

I tried three different 'pay to get the code to unlock' websites. One flat out said that it can not be unlocked and refunded my money. the other two tried to help me but nothing worked. they all gave the same unlock code, so I kinow that they at least tried to generate one. am waiting to see if I can get refunds from the other two.
its strange - I can root the phone (which I am not really interested in doing), but can't unlock it. Mmmmmm.
Unlocked - WORKING
I've been noticing a few too many people having a hard time with some of the sites someone mentioned. I've had to use one of them myself a few weeks ago for a ZTE Merit from TracFone. Luckily, I was given a working code and move about my way. This phone however, due to limited support has been an obstacle to root and unlock. I am proud to say that I FINALLY have both and even managed to make a working mini-sim after two tries.
Maybe I could help you guys out. I unlocked mine and have it working 100% with Simple Mobile and T-mobile.
All I need is the phones IMEI. I spent hours last night trying using different methods and came really close to paying only to find out the Discover wasn't supported for some reason or another. A buddy came up with a minor tweak in the way the IMEI was loading into the unlocking software to get it working.
PM if anyone is interested. Here are some screenshots.
Hi all.
I've just bought unlocked Pantech Discover on Ebay. Can you tell me where can i find unlock code or what do i have to do if i want to update ROM and don't want to lock it again?

Is it called the unlocking company or what is it's name? would be helpful if you could be more clear...
I think he meant theunlockingcompany.net, unfortunately they were unable to unlock my H-815AR from Movistar Argentina, tried at least two more services, including unlockunit and unlockcode24x7 without success, the unlockingcompany folks told me to wait a few weeks and try again.
I've had good luck with Android SIM Unlock. Got my unlock code for my G3 and G4 from them with no issue. http://www.androidsimunlock.com/unlock-phone/lg/g4/

Hey i know this is an old post, but i'm having an absolute nightmare unlocking my phone and was wondering if you could please help just by answering a quick question!
Originally locked to EE, I went through them to get it unlocked and it failed.
When you say the other companies failed do you mean that they gave you a bad unlock code, or the way of unlocking it didn't work?
For me they've given me a code to input on the dialer to bring up the box to input the unlock code. However THIS code doesn't work. So i can't even input the unlock code. Furthermore they say that some models will automatically bring up a box for you to input the code when you insert a locked sim, but that doesn't happen for me either.
So when you say that some didn't work, then one did work, what do you mean by that?
Thank you
