note :
amrring.dll
SoundPlay.exe
extracted from IPAQ 63xx ROM and Working FINE in my i-mate
xda2
can this also be use in xda2? so that xda2 can play amr as ringtone? tnx
sure you can
i-mate = xda2
And I think it's work on all wm2003 PE ( Phone Edition )
Doesn't seem to be working....
Hi,
I copied everything over and entered all the into into the registry. Yet it doesn't seem to be working on the Blue Angel. The SoundPlay.exe works fine, so I'm guessing the problem lies in amrring.dll......Anybody have any idea what it is?
There is a missing reg key !!
Try to register amrring.dll with regsvr tool.
follow this link :

Hey....I tried that. Still doesn't work.

I've done everything... but reg file doesn't work. I can't register arm support in system. Can somebody make something with this .reg file to make it working?
I've got Magican (qtek s100) - WM2003SE...
When i'm trying to add reg file i have message "Unknow error importing Registry script file". Please help.

OK, but it doesn't solve problem with AMR ringtones.
No it does not solve the AMR ringing tone.
But why you wanna use AMR as ringing tones?
AMR has a bad quality compared to MP3 & WMA..
I suggest to convert your AMR ringing tones to WMA

I want to use them because it's much easier to set recieved by 4 ex. bluetooth amr file as ringtone then copy it to pc, convert and copy to pocket.
There are no many mobile phones which can understand wav format - amr is much more popular (+using in mms).
It's always better to CAN do something then CANNOT.
I copied some divx from an online show to the sd card, the quality looks excellent, but if I pause, rew, or ff, after that the video and audio get out of sync almost always....
What video format, or compession rate do you recommend???
I'm using MRH 8.4 with TCPMP version 0.72RC1
Thanks!
Media info: 512x384, 29.9fps, 48k MHZ Mp3 stereo, 109 kbit/s data bit rate.
Here's a bunch of prior TCPMP discussions...maybe some tips there:

I`m wondering how does it work : automatic page pool ?
I gave a try and it has been running very well on my new HD2
I run
Total Cmd
Camera
Calculator
HTC Full screen player playing mp4 800x40 file
Core Player playing the same file
Probki Mail.ru (GPS Maps with traffic jams online continous update)
Opera 10 beta (4 pages opened)
Word Mobile
and .... oh Yes .. Igo 8.3.4 with landscapes visualization
all of abouve simulately and oh my good
It can`t run album after that - it says - no memory.
May it be better with fixed (not auto) page pool ?
Thanks

mVideoPlayer using embedded media player. result is same as stock player
=> Video is good. NO Audio.
wouldn't it be easier to just re-encode the audio stream to a common format instead of dts ?
a direct video copy and an audio conversion for a whole movie would only take a couple mins max meaning you could use the hardware accelerated native player.
Ok, thnx for testing..

DTS is a common format. Many files are DTS so its reasonable to want to play them unconverted. Dice player seems to be the one.

yes while DTS is common for bluray rips (i myself rip bluray with DTS audio) DTS audio comes with a rather large file size and considering the limited storage space on devices like phones using DTS seems like overkill.
but yes i do understand your point, but imo a better alternative would be to just reconvert the audio as many alternative players use software decoding which significantly impacts battery life vs hardware decoding.

DicePlayer take advantage of hw decoder. don't worry about battery life.
*edit
Diceplayer take 22~39% of CPU usage. ( playing above kill bill sample 1080p clip )
Stock Player take 20~40% of CPU usage. ( NO AUDIO Decoding )
Dice Player is pretty awesome. I had some clips the stock player didn't play. moboplayer did play them in software playback, but this seems to do the playback more smoothly than moboplayer software playback.
dice player support subtitles?

perfect test, where I can download DICE PLAYER? thanks
advice
DTS is not needed on a mobile device.....so if you want to watch a full movie on sgs2 you should convert the dts to ac3 with eac3to to save some considerbly big size of the file....then you would hace a hd video with good audio at acceptable size...i think the max video size played on our sgs2 is 4gb....have a nice day!
Been looking for this post ... I hope might this post comes handy to me
