I have a huge problem:
spv m650 ( so it has cid, but it has no matter I suppose ) goes totally weird. Only the touch of the screen is absolutely dead :!: It does not crash, probably not sink or whatever. In the begining it stuck a few times, so automatically I made a hard reset, becouse I have no data on it.
Now I know it was quite stupid, becouse I didn't expect that configuration screen appears "tap to configure"... so I can not turn on the device :!:
The buttons works, screen ( only lcd ) works, but touch won't
Only thing that I remeber it was installing WMStorage and battery status extended with omap OC few hours before. But it was configured identically as my second HTC Touch that works perfectly on it for 6months
(min 121 org 201 max 273 boost 286 )
I'm desperate - please guys help
Mine did that - new screen was the fix.... sorry!

Need help...after 7 months of trouble free use my Orbit has suddenly died. It basically started last week where the phone would for no reason at all soft reset itself. After it booted up the clock would go back to its original setting back in 2006 & had to be adjusted again. The soft reset would happen without any pattern e.g. when I push the talk button when call comes through, when I try to open a program or even just pressing a button to wake it up from standby.
Anyway yesterday it did the same thing but this time it boots up to the O2 splash screen i.e. the blue screen with the picture of the glass building, & then just remains there with the backlight still on. I've resorted to a hard reset but again it will only boot up to the blue screen.
Any ideas?

Okay, so i tried it with bootloader mode and flash the rom, the same ****..., try the original TMO WM5 Rom, nothing changes... Now he show me the TMO bootscreen for more than 5 hours and backlight is also active all the time...

I'm having a similar problem and I have posted my symptoms here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344335) , though I never overclock my orbit before. ANyone have any solutions? Thanks in advance
Hi, to all!
I have a problem with the touchscreen of my hermes alias O2 trion.
When starting from cold state the touchscreen works normal. After some time the screen reacts not allways and shortly after that it does not react at all. Reset does not change anything.
Is it a upgrading problem or is it a hardware problem?
Here the hole story:
I bought a used device with Win Mobile 5 on it. At the first try out it worked, but afer some time the screen did not react to my stylus at all. After a reset it worked again so i dit not pay much attention to this and upgraded to official Windows mobile 6 (which was downloaded from O2). Update worked fine.
Then i ran a rom update on the computer to change the start screen. The tion disconnected (update stopped at 0%). Little shock, but the trion still worked. The program and radio versions did not change.
First thought: this was no official update, so trion did not accept it. Was something installed or was everything blocked?
Could this make problems?
What do you think?
Thanks
i think this problem:

Did you try to re-calibrate your screen? It could be a question of the screen loosing calibration so bad that when you press it, it works but you are not HITTING any buttons, because the calibration is off...
I have that problem with my Hermes, I need to recalibrate several times every day, especially after sliding out the keyboard (since the screen flips then) .
There's a very nifty short-cut to the calibration app: press the middle button on the D-pad while pressing the messaging button to go to the calibration screen, then press the middle D-pad button to launch the calibration (same as pressing "calibrate" with your stylus).
There seems to be a lot of Herms that have serious calibration issues. I'm personally so tired of it I am thinking of buying something else.
Good luck,
Laz
It's KNOWN hardware issue where the processor heats up and *somehow* transfer heat to the digitizer which make it unresponsive. I got a Hermes just like that laying around. Can't fix it.

Thanks!
Today the touchscreen worked good. Even playing spider solitair was possible. Then i pluged it into power supply and the device got slightly warm. The touchscreen did not work any more.
Could be a heating problem of the prozessor like Mikro_ Tech described. Thanks by the way
How can i be sure it is this problem and not something else?
@LazPL: That was one of my first thoughts as well and i did.
When the Touchscreen works, it works just fine and accurate. Then it behaves strange (sometimes not corresponding to touches, programms close all of a sudden) and shortly after that it doesn not work at all.
@the_passenger: The Hermes Version is HT 626... Anything special to this, because the link just lists screen allignment issues for this modell?
What do you think of the solution from the link LazPL posted?
a few days ago my artemis hung up every 10 minutes or it's display went to white screen.
now pda doesn't turn on and there is no light indicator for charge status
please, help me getting lovely artemis put right)
Hi, sintipon
I got the same prob, its started a few days ago, i can get it on sometimes but then it just locks up and when i try touch the screen it just flashes. I'll let u kno if ii find anything.
If u get anything please let me kno.
Mine is like that for sa month now... No luck whatever i tried... I went to service, and the told me that the board was off and i need a new one! Very expensive, i will change phone!!
will u think that this situation maybe relate to flash the device's rom??
or relate to some particular software which may lead to this crash??
display becomes black or becomes white..
hello guys ..
im sorry to tell you that if you encounter this kind of problem your Artemis is already crash.... and nothing to do with but to send it to service center. thats a CPU problem.
its ok if you flash your Artemis with the softwares you found here but be care you must know whats the function of the SW before you install . may be you did to much over clock on your cpu. Our cpu is only 201 Mhz. hmmppp..
last tym i try also to over clock tell 300 but 10 seconds later my display becomes white heheh... so change cpu..
may be 247Mhz is ok, like Artemis Touch over clock.
also a lesson for me..

no one same problem?
Hello,
I had the same problem with my TP2 (dutch version). It appeared with the Energy Rom 24 july reference rom in combination with overclocking. It is probably just the OC wich made it so.
Do you have your device OC'ed? If not, have you tried a hard reset?
Grtz, FeareX
I havent overclocked my device.
Yesterday i installed serveral energyroms.
Al have the same problem.
When I slize the keyboard open the screen wakes up.
When I close it the screen stays on.
Does a hard reset helps so the lightsensors works again?
Dank voor je reactie
