HI,guys anyone can tell me is that possible to change the...

I Mean change the text message Ringtone.
I know how to change the Phone Ringtone
But no idea how to do with the text message.

er, what I have here is default ringtone for the event/message.
How can I use my personal ringtone in My Document\---?

I never tried it, but what if you overwrite a default tone (stored in rom so not so easy to change or delete) in \windows and assign it to the event? You can overwrite rom files & restoring is dead easy just delete the ram file!
I tried it with Alarm4.wav & replaced it with a mp3 the 'preview' didn't work. Got no wav at the moment, so you have to give it a shot yourself.

I have got a few .wav HERE
But, I have no idea which fold under the windows\ I should put them in.
You know we can only change the ringtone from the default fold but browse from other folds.
So, which fold you have tried before? :lol:

try overwriting \windows\alarm1.wav

Ok This works, I got home and put a small .wav over the \windows\alarm4.wav my default for reminders. It previews ;-)K

or any similar alarm.wav under the \windows FOLD
are they under any specific fold after \windows

What kind of browser are you using? I don't see them with my PC explorer via Act.sync & using resco exporer with the option 'hide files in rom' there invisible too.
The normal ppc file explorer shows them & resco of course when you uncheck 'hide files in rom'.
They're in \windows no sub folder. Names can be found in the event box too. I'am sorry don't know how to be more specific than, just go to \windows with the default ppc file explorer.

Any wav will do
Hi Exec,
It's even more simple, just put your .wav in \windows & you can select it in the list-box of the notifications tab. So no need to look for existing wav files.

In first step sorry for my English I´m from Czech Republic.
I have HTC Artemis :
ROM - 1.12.405.1
Radio - 02.67.90
Protokol ... - 4.1.13.28
ExtRom - 1.12.405.9810
I wil to make in SPB PPC plus a mouse mode switch shortcut. I tried a registry chnge finded on this forum - not functionaly
I tried a link with parameter "\windows\mousemode.exe" SETMOUSEMODE
It always opens a mouse mode setting and doesn´t switch it. Damn ...
... please help me out, I don´t no what I´m doing bad ...

- I Created a shortcut "mousemode.lnk" into \windows\start\programs
- I edited the shortcut mousemode.lnk as below : "\windows\mousemode.exe" SETMOUSEMODE
This work just perfect for me ... and another thing what I have done, its I bind the button to activate it .. and its works aswell ...

Yep this way is working nise .. i also binded the link to HW button ..

So, if I understud it well, I have to bind to a hardware button. It doesn´t work just like a icon ???

Worked a treat for me as a shortcut, no go bound to a hardware button though- still my hardware buttons are precious, my precious, they are reserved for the greatest of the great functions - it's easy enough to hit the start key and select mouse mode!

On my device both of options working fine ... I don`t know what is wrong... Where are you chenging icon path? And how ... can you show step by step what are you doing, it'`s will easy to understand for us.

Mouse mode
So ... I´m using Totalcmd for ppc v 2.0
1. step I made the shortcut in My documents from mousemode.exe founded in windows directory
2. Clicked on shortcut - properties and changing the
\windows\mousemode.exe
to "\windows\mousemode.exe" SETMOUSEMODE than OK
3. Adding item in SPB ppc plus, I added this maded shortcut.
And it work not ...
I tried this registry change i can´t remember where was it directly. I used the PHM registry editor. This worked not too. So what did I do bad. I did everithing step by step as wroted somewhere here on forum ...

I found the problem ....
I don´t why but this totalcmd for pocket made this
from "\windows\mousemode.exe" SETMOUSEMODE
this \windows\mousemode.exe" SETMOUSEMODE"
I change it on Desktop PC and replaced it on PPC and it works now well ...

I have just an one question, do you know how to change size of this mouse cursor ??? It´s so big ...

I agree, it may be a pretty standard cursor file so it could be possible, a desktop sized cursor on a mobile device seems insane! I'm not sure I'd know where to begin modding it though.

(icon with link ..windows\mousemode.exe" SETMOUSEMODE) It open me a mouse mode enable page.. rather than automatic on and off the mouse mode..
It is possbile to make is auto just click.. on and off.
Please advise thanks

Back to this shortcut ... it work for me just as a shortcut in start menu. I copied it to \windows\startmenu\Programs .. When I attached it to hardware button it didn´t work ... but I´m happy with this start menu solution too... because I can now turn of this HTC Home today plugin

When You read all reply then you find where was problem with this shortcut when you made it in ppc totalcmd. The totalcmd put the first comma to the end of line and this was the problem as I wrote it in previous reply (#8)

Now i'm work fine with Startmenu\ programs
still cannot work with Hardware button,
what i can do is using programs call "Hotbutton plus" and this help me to re map the Hardware button be able to use turn on / off the mouse mode by pressing HW button, with out enter the Mouse mode setting menu.

Could anyone please attach a shortcut file mentioned? I have trouble creating it.

Simply use Total commander and browse to the MouseMode.exe shortcut you created earlier with your highlight (don't tap on it). There is a green icon on the bottom of screen. Click it and start editting the shortcut. Save and exit total commander. Remember the soft-resets after registry editings. Enjoy

It is possible to switch the mouse on/off through a hardware button, however it does not work by linking a shortcut to that button. You don't need any extra program either, all it takes is a little tweaking in the registry.
This is an example of how to use the camera button for turning the mouse on/off (personally I don't use the camera), but of course you can use another key as well:
Open the registry and go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Shell/Keys/40C5/
There you will see some keys, of which Default is one of them. Open Default and change whatever is there to
"\windows\mousemode.exe" SETMOUSEMODE
Close the registry and you're done.
If you want another key, it is the same procedure, but replace the '5' in the above description (40C5) by another number.

You guys are talking over my head. All I did was install new menu, fond on this forum and create a shortcut from there. I press the right soft key select "mouse" select enable mouse mode.
New menu is a very useful app for loads of other stuff aswel, you all should have it.

Home - Launcher configurator was born!!!

Hi all, I created this little utility to insert external programs (from storage card i.e.) into the HTC home today plugin, knowing that I can choice only \windows\ and \start menu\ programs!!!
with my utility you can assign 9 programs to the 9 buttons on "launcher" HTC home, and can choice the programs everywhere you want!!!
try it!!!

in this days, I think to have ready another utility to configures applications into homelaunchplug, that for now, if I'm not wrong supports only 3/4 programs to launch!!! ;-)

Good job ... "click on a butotn to choice:" = "click on a button of your choice:" .... "filtro:"= "filter:' ..... "Annulla" = "Cancel" ... "Lista file" = "File list".
*.exe is the only filter? I think you have to add .lnk too.

yes, you are right, but if there is a .lnk file, that means that there is ever another "exe", for the link file.... I think it's same!!!

Thanks for this cab,i've found an other solution,with the registry key HKLM/software/htc/htchome/launcher.At path i put my favorite shortcut.

hmm... my home plugin lets me put programs that are on my storage card without this cab file.. am i missing something?

Depends if the are installed and have a lnk file in the programs of the start menu.
I have some exe files on my storage card (for example games) which I don't have to install after a hard reset / flash. With this util I can configure the home plug directly to the exe files. A work around is creating .lnk-files in the programs folder the start menu or modifying the registery.

Is it possible to edit this plugin so you could say, replace the weather tab with pocketbreeze or something?

Yup, easy!
Using File Explorer go to Windows/Start Menu, then either into Programs or Settings and simply delete the lnk files for the program icons that you want to lose. Alternatively you can create a folder in either Programs or Settings called say, "Others" and cut and paste all the disused lnk files into it. This way you don't lose all the original links (sometimes hard to recreate them all, if you need them subsequently!).

Here are my registry values. I have WM6.5 with Sense 2.5 and I activated the 3G in Comm manager. If you want to deactivate the 3G from CM, you have to delete entry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager\6" and modify entry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager\SupportedFunctions" from 7 to 6.
Also when I activated 3G I added the entries in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\UMTS" (2nd file attached) and I put in \Windows folder the 2 attached images.
