After months of happy hatchhiking, my Dash can no long connect to internet as of this morning. I'm in east coast US.
This cheap internet is the only reason I stayed with Tmobile. Guess it's time to pay attention to 3G iPhone news...

I have an EVO 4G and everywhere I go I get S*** data speeds. Sprint has really screwed us all I feel like. When I am down at school in central CA i get like 300kbps on a good day. Here in norcal at work i get 54 (DIAL UPPPP) kbps. In San Francisco, a MAJOR city I barely pulled 700. This is crap and I am fed up with it.
Ideally I would love to switch to verizon right now and pay the extra $ when the HTC vigor is released. anyway to get out of this stupid contract, maybe by saying i dont want to pay for this crap? i really want LTE since my friend pulls a consistant 15-20mbps.
also could my phone just be broken? my brothers nexus s 4g gets better speeds than me like all the time... my wimax keys were broken and i pay for insurance, can i say my 4g wont work and get a new phone lol.
someone please give me the answers and way out of this mess!
thanks
I feel you i live in seattle which is suppose to have great 4g coverage and my 3g is triple the speed of my 4g which wont even stay connected longer then a few seconds anyways. Ive considered leaving as well my entire family is on tmo and there 3g is even faster. I guess if you just keep calling and complaining and they keep haveing to credit your account they will prob let you out of it . Ive read about that on a few forums. it gets frustrating spec when paying for that extra 10 dollars for (We require this add-on for phones made to deliver a superior wireless experience including Web, email, video and social networking.) "superior" lol.

yeah im down in fort lewis, and barely have 3G. let alone 4g unless im in tacoma -__________-
If your 4G doesn't connect (doesn't work) I heard you can have the phone exchanged for a refurb. That being said, most refurbs have the new OTA update and are not yet rootable.
Email [email protected] and explain your situation. Within 2 days, someone from the ceo's office (the highest you can get with sprint) will call you back. Explain to them how you cant justify paying for service you are not being able to use. I did the same thing, and they let me out of my contract after a month. They told me it would be 30 days and the problem would be fixed in my area. 30 days later, it still obviously wasnt fixed, so I called back, and told them I wanted out of my contract, and they did.
awesome. thanks for all the suggestions.
I'm just a poor college student living on my own right now so sprints price is nice for me but if i get this job before the school year starts I will have to try to get out. especially if when the htc vigor drops. 80 dollars a month is so worth 15mbps on LTE!

Hi Danes!
Switched from 3 to Telia yesterday as they had a better deal for the One X and they offered me a free 4g modem then 50kr a month with unlimited data (speeds are throttled after 500mb though)
Wasn't interested as I have no use for it but it might be useful for some I think it is a deal only for new customers though.
I asked to see some speed tests in store on the galaxy tab and they were over 40mbps which I thought was quite impressive.
Sounds nice, but I'm afraid it is too late for me. Preordered it from 3 and expect to get it tomorrow or tuesday. Can't wait!

I went in to the 3store to ask about when they will get it in and the guy said 'we get it when we get it, maybe next week' - some seriously poor customer service skills, so I went to telia instead! I'll see how telia treat me now, they might be just as poor!
I called today to complain to sprint anD they apologized and said 10% of my calls were being dropped due to upgrade to NV and my data was bad because of it and since i been a longtime customer and have 3 lines i will be getting a 35 dollar credit for 4 months ohh and NV and LTE will be LIVE in chicago Sept 7
Im on my SG3
Were you expecting something from us?
Who quoted you Sept 7th?
And you believed them?...
@sunsparc no and no one like a smart ass
Im just telling you guys that are having the same issues so you guys can get a credit also
Im on my SG3
Yeah I've been having the same problems with my service and got the same response. Though this was back in July, so I never got the notice on LTE. Good looking out!!
so upgrades in one state can effect another state hundreds of miles away? :good:
Take those ETAs with a dumptruck full of salt.
I had a few hour layover at O'Hare yesterday and the Sprint network was horrible. Granted, last time I flew through I was rocking WiMax on my EVO, but I was expecting 3G to at least... work. My poor S3 couldn't get above dialup speeds, when it even worked at all. I hope for Sprint's sake that it was due to NV and that it won't take too long to complete.
Oh my service is terrible right now. Every other calls drops. I'll definitely call them up on Monday and see if I can get credit on my bill too. I've been with them a while and I have 4 business lines.
And did they ACTUALLY tell you Sept. 7th?

Yeah, it's most likely from NV. The Chicago market is being a ***** for Sprint to upgrade because the legacy (Motorola) equipment isn't compatible with the new (Samsung) equipment. Plus, the tower upgrades are happening way faster than Sprint can deploy the new backhaul, so dropped calls and bad data service are pretty common here. But things are picking up. By me in the suburbs, data speeds went from 300Kb/s at 3:30am to 1.5Mb/s at the same time in the same places. It shouldn't be too long now before NV is done and we get LTE.
Edit: Sep. 7 would be amazing. But isn't that around the time Baltimore is being launched? And didn't Sprint say that the Baltimore launch would be accompanied only by a few more markets in GA, KS, and TX? I'm personally hoping for Oct., maybe mid- to late-September.
Yes the sprint rep told me that september 7 nv will launch and that lte will be on live in chicago

So I chatted with Sprint today and to make a long story short, I will be getting NO credit for the dropped calls and poor service I am getting. Yes, I have two lines and yes, I have been a long time customer. :crying::crying::crying:

Dont waste your time with this. In spite of them admitting all my problems were with their network, they did nothing for me. Sprint sucks but we're the suckers for staying with them.
I have already seen LTE in the northwest suburbs (Bartlett at Army Trail and rt. 59). I don't think September 7th is a solid date, maybe a handful of sites will be ready but I don't think every area that is supposed to get it will get it by then. We can only hope!
i have called every week for the past 5 weeks; they really dont care that it doesnt work; i get no signal at work or my house when it used to be at least 3 bars; hoping for an improvement
Bad Service in Michigan
I'm getting pretty bad service in Michigan, lots of dead zones and dropped calls... I'm going to get my parents to try this and see if they do anything. (My parents pay for the phone service)
Maybe we should organize a "Sprint Sucks" day on Facebook. Im frankly tired of shelling out full price for half the service every month. I bet when those people that we have to talk to deal with someone like Time Warner, they dont expect to be told "Well, we know youre paying full price but we're only giving you half service and we know it but youre in a contract so be okay with it and eventually we'll get around to fixing it."
It blows me away how they just dont care and people wonder why Sprint is in so much trouble financially.
I renewed my Sprint contract back in 11/12 and got 2 LGOGs and 1 S3. When I renewed with Sprint, I was told the new phones didn't use WiMax anymore and that they were LTE. Although LTE wasn't out in my area (San Francisco), it should hit the area in a few months. I happily signed up because I've had nothing but good experiences with Sprint in the past. Almost immediately I noticed that the 3G on this new network was super slow, I'm talking speed tests of 0.02 - 0.20 mbps slow. I just sat on it and used WiFi where I could waiting for the 4G LTE signal. As 2013 flew by and many contacts to Sprint, I was told LTE would be in by the end of 2013. Well, its 2014 and I still don't have LTE nor do I even have 3G speeds that I can use on any of my phones. No one at sprint customer service seems to want to help me.
Does anyone know of a way to get Sprint to do the right thing and kill my ETF so that I can make the choice to move to a carrier that I can use? I've given them over a year to get their stuff together but they continue to sell a network that doesn't exist. I don't even care if I have to send them my old phone. But before people say "sell your phones to pay for the ETF." Unfortunately my current financial situation doesn't allow me to outright pay for new phones on top of paying for my ETF while I wait to see if I can sell the old phones.
At this point, I'm just tired of being mad....I'm just looking for some help.
No, but check this out.

Whoa... That is huge. I've secretly been wanting to move to T-Mo for a lot of reasons, this may do it for me.
Thanks for the tip, I guess I'll just have to borrow some money along with using this T-Mobile promotion and bite the bullet on this on and pay off the ETF, hopefully make a few bucks off selling my old phones. Sucks to see how Sprint has just gotten worse and worse yet they won't take any accountability.
Force Roam all day for a few months. They'll terminate your contract.

Yeah, I only use Sprint because of the unlimited data on my plan(it's super cheap) and because rooting doesnt technically void the warranty. 3G is fine here in Pittsburgh, 4G/LTE is hit or miss. It's here, just not close to my house. Take a 10 minute drive - the signal is strong and download speeds are fast. However there are huge pockets where there is no service.
Their customer service has gotten worse in the last few years in my experience as well. It used to be different, now they really don't seem to care about much....
Had mine delivered 2 days ago, but as luck would have it, we're getting pummeled by those heavy winds from that storm, power is still out, but anyways haha, I'm compatible with the two big dogs, but I'm feeling the little dogs prices in the long run...?? If you say T-Mobile no doubt about it, I'll get Magenta, but fn Ultramobile $39/month for 50GB, I have extremely good WiFi with Xfinity both at home/work which is 80% of my days, so what are y'all feeling here?
