HELP!!! Mtty doesn' allow format - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Software Upgrading

Hi Gurus and friends,
I have a problem, my Uni is semi bricked i think, I can only get to bootloader mode after several tries. I tried the MTTY program to format the Uni so that I can install a original WM5 ROM. But my ROM update stops after updating the Radio ROM and doesn't proceed after that.
Below is that command that I used and the reply that I get from MTTY.
Do help.

Hi anyone?????chx
Do help ya all.
TQ again,

It sounds like there may be some physical corruption to the NAND.
DOCInfoTableinitHW+
Binary0 Size: 0x100000
FAT0 Size: 0x4000000
FAT1 Size: 0xA00000
FAT2 Size: 0x2C70000
All Size: 0x7770000
FAT0_ADDR=0x100000,FAT1_ADDR=0x4100000,FAT2_ADDR=0x4B00000
That's a log from a Universal with nothing physically wrong with the NAND (IIRC, it's been a while).
Can you give a little more info on the problems 'before' you got into this state. Did you loose the radio and get the usual Error 114/144 messages when you tried to just install a radio ROM?

I really don't know too much about this stuff but when I was using mtty to back up my rom using the directions from buzzdev.net I was having problems because my sim and cid or what-not was locked. Apparently this could be seen from the "Level = FF" line. Read the following link and hopefully this helps... http://buzzdev.net/read.php?40,33157,35149#msg-35149

Can mtty erase startup logo in trinity ROM?

I have my trinity briked and want to bring it to service centre. But ROM version I tried to flash before briking was in different region which may breach the warranty.
Now it boots and stops with a start up logo in different language. I am worried that service centre may refuse my repair request. Can I erase the image file from ROM? or any suggestion to avoid showing this screen? It is possible to use mtty and erase the image file? where is the image files' address? or how to erase the main ROM so that it will not show the image?

Is my diamond dead...or?

Hi everybody. I wanted to flash this ROM - Kisja_SUN_Y_1_1_WM_6_1_TF3D_2_5_WWE. After some wrong passes , I had in my hands a phone in boot mode(stripescreened) and also with hardSPL 1.4 from OliNex..But with this hSPL, my flashing always stopped on 0%. Then I chaged some hSPL's, but after I put this one (RUU_Signed_SPL193stock.zip from post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2324837&postcount=20) I can't neither change hSPL nor flash the ROM(both stops at 0%, and I tried very much of rom's and SPL's).
Olny when I try to flash the official one, it stops at 1%, terminates and tells that ERROR [294] - INVALID VENDOR ID (and then restarts and white screen appears).I tried a lot of originals, but the same result. Neither ActiveSync nor Explorer doesn't observe my phone(only MTTS or ROMUpdateUtility.exe)

[Q] Did i screw up?

SORRY GUYS...ITS WORKING PROPERLY..WAS OVER LOOKING A SIMPLE STEP..
THANK U GUYS..
Hey guys,
I was trying to install custom ROM on my Diamond and now, all i am seeing the standard Touch Diamond black screen and nothing beyond that.
Here are the steps which i followed:
1. Downloaded HARD SPL from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211 and ran ROMUpdateUtility.exe on the phone. It was successfull
2. Then downloaded custom Radio 1.09.25.23 and installed on the phone jst as the previous step. Even that was successful.
3. Downloaded MTTY from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540290 and tried flashing from USB (post #4).
3.1 in the bootloader, selected USB and left every other configuration like original.
3.2 in the cmd :
--------------------------
Cmd>set 14 0
HTCST ÚÈÒHTCE
--------------------------
then,
--------------------------
Cmd>task 29
Format BINFS start
Fill RSVD information for block 288 to 321
CE start sector=0x14, total sector of CE and TFAT=0x14
CE start start block=321, total block=1727
ERASE block 75 FAIL !!!
ERASE block 123 FAIL !!!
ERASE block 138 FAIL !!!
ERASE block 1075 FAIL !!!
ERASE block 1667 FAIL !!!
Write 0xFF start page=0x5040, total page=0x1AFC0
Format BINFS end
------------------------------
then,
---------------------
Cmd>task 8
Cmd>
---------------------
disconencted my device and held the vol down key and was navigated to the bootloader screen with USB connection.
4. dowloaded 'Energy' ROM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=517300
and then tried running it.. but then the custom RUU says that cant connect.
Now i am really worried..did i brick my cell? is there any way to come out of this??
Loads of thanks in advance..

[Q] Rooting my Desire

Hello fellow XDA users...
I recently tried to root my HTC desire, HBOOT version 0,93, running android 2.2.2.
"HTC Desire (bravo-0.93.0001, Android: 2.2.2, ROM version: 2.29.405.14)"
When I used unREVoked it said this:
"Unable to launch root, is your software version to new?"
And when I used Revolutionary it gave me this error:
Zerging Root... this might take a minute or so.. Root acquired!
Sending in Caroline...
Retrieving Caroline from certain doom...
Retrying Caroline...
Caroline failed, but had this to say: An error occurred while reading the partition.

as you might have noticed, I use linux already, and also tried it on windows, Unrevoked didn't even load on there, and Revolutionary said the same error.
Any ideas how to fix this? or, how can I downgrade my desire?
Cheers, lars!
Use Revolutionary instead of unrevoked:
http://revolutionary.io
...
Please look at my post, I said I already did that, and it gave me errors.
I had the same error. Revoutionary shoud work actually with 0.93 hboot. But i could only use the oldest method "visionary" program to root my desire. Then i could run revolutionary without any problem.

Ah, my bad! I recommend to ask Revolutionary's IRC Channel.
Okay,
Both thanks fr your reply, where could I find the IRC channel?
and, going to try visionary now.
Thank you!

You should use unrevoked 3.21. This one works.
i got the root with unrevoked. Its the best.
Did you try HTC Super Tool? Check it here blogotechblog.com/2011/12/root-almost-all-htc-devices-with-htc-super-tool/

Hey fff,
No, I haven't found anything yet,
but the revolutionary.io crew said that it might be a hardware error...

Hi,
just wanted to share my rooting experience.
I encountered the same "errors" as i5800.
Before the OTA which upgraded android 2.2 to 2.2.2 I could temproot with Visionary without trouble. After the upgrade Visionary didn't work anymore.
I've tried Unrevoked, Revolutionary and something relatively new at unlockroot dot com without success.
I'm no expert whatsoever but I'm quite sure the upgrade sort of closed the "hole" that was exploited by the above mentioned methods.
[I'm looking for a simple root method (no S-off, customs ROMs,... needed) just to run Droidwall which allows/blocks internet access for certain apps]

Hello!
Sorry my English. I have the same problem as a TS. After OTA update i can't get root and s-off on my wife's Desire. In my family i have another 3 pcs of Desire. They have no problem to root and s-off.
How i can to roll back to older stock ROM? I think this trouble uppear with new OTA update.
Here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667) I have found the original HTC ROMs.
hi
First of all I'm new in this forum and I'm trying my best so please dont kill me for dumb mistakes.
Thank you
i'd like to share my small and newest experience on rooting my Htc Desire.
first off all I switched off my security .
I found a page where i had to insert my serial and my hboot and my device
and then i got a beta key which i had to put in a comand line on my pc and after a few seconds i had s-off.
Then I started to get my rooting rights with flashing recovery .
after this i downloaded titanium back up for saving all of my apps and programms of my device.
I copied the whole Sd card to my PC and i dont know what to do now.
I want more space on my desire and want to get rid of this faceplopp blinki twiiktwik crab.
i like my android 2.2.2 but i dont have much space and it gets slower, so i started rooting it.
Please excuse my bad english,
I am german and haven't had to write or speak english for a long time.
Please help me thank you

Start reading the forum. Read about different ROMs, their features, possible bogs, etc. Then decide which one to flash. Usually you have 2 options for more space. Depending on the ROM, you need to partition your SD. A2sd+ requires stock hboot, a2sdx requires cm7 hboot. More on different hboots: alpharev.nl. Have a look at the links in my sig, too.
