I used to have te T-Mobile Compact dutch wm6 rom. When I use the dialer to look up a contact, I get a list of found numbers. By scrolling down through the list I get to see the number the "cursor" bar is on.
I haven't found this feature on any of the English custom cooked rom on this board. Does Anyone know to to obtain this dialer???
Hello all. I'm currently running CRC 10.4 rom and I love the huge task manager option (the drop down thing in the upper right corner on the today screen) but I haven't been able to find it as a cab. I also love the 3G dialer on the S64 rom but can't put it on crc10.4 b/c the crc dialer is cooked into the rom. I've found a nice 3G kaiser dialer but it just boogers up my dialer when I install it.
Can anyone recommend a rom / dialer / cab combo to me? I was thinking about using PDACornerPro.V12 and adding what I want to it, but I don't even know if that will work. I'm at the point where I would rather choose everything that goes into my rom, and spending some time on it vs. trying to cram in everything I can.

regarding the dialer: make sure you have netcf installed as well as some certs if you use schens dialer.
it also might be that you have to enable or disable the phone skin (use schaps advanced config for tweaking this)
Ok I disabled the phone skin, installed the 3G kaiser dialer, but now the smart dialing box (with the ugly scrollbars) is boogering up the look. I want it off of there. I installed the 3G dialer on my buddies phone and it works right. How do I turn off the smart dialer?
Figured it out. There is a registry key in HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE.. something like "EnableSmartDialb". Set it to 1.
you coulod also do it via the phone's menu (smart dialing options).
People Who have had a hard time with the dialer of x2 with the dialpad
..this is a small mortscript that will enable diable the dial pad.
it will install a prgram called dial pad switch to ur start menu
click it to enable/disable the dial pad..

You run the dialer pad application once! Then open your phone panel and the dialer pad is displayed. Or open phone panel and then run the dialer pad and it was pop up. Press the dialer pad application again and the keypad disappears.
@Rotastrain - When calling voicemail (or any calls) I can't open up the dialerpad to press #s to delete, save, or go on to the next voice mail message. Can ya come up with a fix for that please? Thanks.
Dialer don´t work in Landscape Modus on X1 Win6.1.
There is already a solution to the problem ???

lol i really don`t understand u buddy XD
what do you mean with the dialerpad application? the setup file ->cab?
and the : or open phone panel and poping up dialer pad, doesn`t work
the shortcut in the startmenue doesn`t work.
BUT if i call my voicemail i get the dialpad for that moment but still i can`t use the fixshortcut in startmenue
ok i think the startbar hide the button who tooks out the keypad.... wm6.5... how can i get the pad by an other way? or can i change that the startbutton and bar is up on the screen?

But there isn't way to hide it again you will go back to run the fix to hide. is there an option to hide/unhide the dialpad?

The keypad button is hidden behind most wall papers. That's why Rotastrain made the mortscript.
Press the Phone button. Then go to windows start and press the dialpad fix program. Exit out of the Start menu. You should now have the dialpad open. Repeat procedure to close dialpad from the phone.
You could always try and program a softkey to the mortscript dialpad program and see if that works to simplify opening and closing the dialpad.

You need to install Mortscript 4.2, then you can click on that link on the Start menu.
ok now it`s working !!
but now i`ve got an other problem, if i push a number onec the sound that it makes, still continues für 10 seconds

It works great, even when I restart the dailer the dailpad stays!
But is it possible to use dailpad while calling? I can't give response when calling my bank..
1. Is there a way for the lock screen dialer to take over after dialing a number? I mean, I use the Resco Contact mgr dialer. After dialing a number through that, I get directed to the ****ty default WM6.5.3 dialer. I'm looking for a way to get directed to the lock screen call thing (which is much faster and responsive)
2. Is there a way for the Wm lock screen call thing to come up automatically whenever theres an incoming call? I found this: "http://www.xtkit.com/archives/32", but this doesn't work as efficiently, though it'll do if there's no better solution.

You can use Iconsoft PhonEx or HTC Phone Canvas (search) if you don't want the default dialer.
For automatic locking on an incoming call, you can use Smartlock.

I use the default dialer and I like it alot. Granted I skinned it. But I have auto-lock on, which when used with the dialer, will switch to the lockscreen after you dial a number. The In-Call lockscreen has lots of functions like Speaker, Contacts, etc. Pretty neat.
My latest LITE rom is setup pretty slick using all standard WM apps.
@player911: Which auto lock app do you use which switches to the lockscreen after dialing? The same smartlock that Livven mentioned? I'm quite happy with PhoneEx, but it's commercial, so I'd prefer If I can setup something free.
hi, i used v19 of insertcoin and all was fine, then switched to a clean install (full wipe, didnt touch the .zip) of 1.0.3 and i am missing voice input and output settings in android settings :S (they were there back in v19)
i can still get into voice input settings by presing menu button when using google voice search, but there is no way of going into settings of Text-To-Speech so i cant change the default engine :S
do you guys (insertcoin users) have voice settings tab in android settings ?
is it problem on my end or smth wrng with the ROM ???
seriously, can anyone using insertcoin cm7 (and there are lots of u guys) just go to settings and tell me if there are voice settings available ?
ok, its hidden..to find it press ur search button>press the 'g' and in the white box that opens up tap the grey settings icon in the top right corner and in the list check/enable settings then in search type 'voice' > tap the 'g' again and tap settings then search.. don't know why it's hidden! maybe ask @baadnewz.
