hi,i was wondering with anyone with a htc s620 or tmobile dash if they could back up the stock ringtones and tones for messaging and put it on rapidshare?iam trying too get those same ringtones on a different phone i bought.thanks
i'm looking for the same thing too! and and all of the stock ringtones from any of the versions would be nice...
You could always extract them from the original ROM I suppose, or just flash to it real quick then copy paste it to your new phone.

1) How can I bring back the system sounds (i.e. start menu click, etc) to this rom ?
2) Only 3 ringtones are available although in the original WM5 the ringtones were pretty nice. Are the original ringtones stored somewhere? (packed in a cab maby?)
On my Trinity I am trying many of the new ROMs. Backup doesnt help much.
Is it possible to make a cab-file who installs the few programs I allways use (cabs), and copy the ringtones and alarms and themes to their right places? Also maybe delete the ringtones I dont need as well. This would save me much time each time I change ROM.
Also I am looking for norwegian spellchecking, independent of what ROM I use.
I followed the trinityguide.info to install the WM6 Dopod rom.
Everything seems fine except when I'm in programs that list file directories (resco file explorer, HTC album with directory selection etc)
In those my network, recycle bin and device name all show up as a series of squares instead of the correct display.
I guess it could be a language issue with some software or the rom, but has anyone else come across this or maybe know if these items are in the registry and could be fixed?
Cheers
Andrew
My advice: install another WM6 ROM.
The Dopod ROM, although "official" (dopod is a subsiduary of HTC) is not a very good ROM at all.
Have a look at the different feature sets, choose a cooked WM6 ROM and flash - you really will not regret!
I'm living in Korea. And I don't want to use Korean WM. I tried the English ROM but the problem is it cannot receive the SMS properly.
The same problem with Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. But there is one Korean guy cooked new ROM for that:

This is the link of my dumped Korean ROM for Diamond:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HI2OU63G
They used the their own program to send and receive the SMS or MMS (It's PACKAGE_Diamond_MMS_Client in their ROM).
How to cook new ROM with SK-SMS or any way to figure out it? Please help me!
Any help is appreciated!!!

I'm in the same place as you. Once I put an english rom on my diamond I can no longer receive texts from LG or KTF on those from SK. I returned 2 HTC diamonds to the service center already, I'm going to look like an ass if I return this one. I'm thinking about getting something like a haptic with t-cash, dmb, and gps. However I'd like my diamond to work with texts as well.
tips
get out of fukked korea ... you will figure out the problem at all...
If you know Korean, I suggest you try this link

Download the cab file from the page and install it
I haven't tried it myself so don't ask me if you have problems

Thanks. But I tried this program. But nothing's changed. This one is only for Korean ROM...
I have your same problem and found out a workaround, however you will be only able to view korean text but not write.
You must copy "malgun.ttf" font from Vista to the "windows" folder on the phone.
Then you must add the following reg string:
[HKLM/Software/Microsoft/FontLink/SystemLink]
Tahoma = \windows\malgun.ttf,Malgun Gothic
I have found a software called DIOPEN which gives you full korean support, but has bugs and is not stable. It will mess up your SIP!
Try this as well!

Does anyone have the original ringtones from HTC Touch HD extracted? They are in windows directory (some in windows\rings) with extension WMA or WAV. I have now HD2 and the ringtones are different. I miss the one that I'm used to - I guess it was like Ring-Guitar3.wmi or similar...
Can anyone who still has HTC Touch HD extract the alerts and ringtones from Windows and windows\rings directory? Thankx
I've just extract them from \Windows\Rings\ .
Is that correct ?
I've transfer all folders on my computer, so i hope this archive is what you need.
If it doesn't, tell me the directory you're searching for and i'll upload it.

Yes, that's it, but the rest of them are (like I said) in root windows directory (i myself don't know why two places...). Can you add the ones from windows directory please (WMA, WAV)? Thank you... (BTW it has to be HTC Touch HD, I don't know why, but other models have different ringtones)
I've search in all directories, i'm sorry, the pack i've post is made with all rings or tones i've found
Oops! That audio files are probably dependent on the exact ROM version, I had extra czech version with different ringtones, pity... But thanx anyway ;-)

That's what i've thought...
I'm using Topix 3.4.1 and i think that's the "problem", even if it's one of the greatest ROM ever
