Hi folks,
I'm looking for an programm launcher like the programs tab in TF3D, but I'd like to have multiple pages, as the 24 places in the tab are way to few.
Else I want to assign it to an hardware key, so I need an application, that is not integrated in TF3D.
Does anyone know a good app for this purpose ?
I guess someone already made something like that, but google and the forum search didn't bring it up.
Sounds like a job for Wisbar Advanced Desktop, I have 8 tabs on the main screen, 20 more fading in with one finger gesture, or configure a mainscreen tab to directly open a launcher page with 20 tabs per page, where tabs can also be a Inbox, URL or shortcut to opening a program with a given file. Then switch between unlimited launcher pages with one finger gesture per page.
^^ can you please tell me what part of wishbar advance i have to activate to make my screen look like that??
Look at MortScript and Mort Buttons You can add the buttons to start menu, Today screen or to the TF3D Programs page. each button has a full page or even multi-pages you can add apps, commands or scripts to. Really handy!

Its not Wisbar Advance (Task), but Wisbar Advance Desktop
http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/products/pocketpc/WisBarAdvanceDesktop/
Then you need to install Sergej's free Blackberry Theme to the themes folder of WAD, and activate it as your default portrait mode theme.

that looks really nice ... but how does is look in landscape mode? does it support landscape? if yes, i'll give it a try
Dont use landscape, but the program differentiates between those two modes, so you could just re-arrange the dock and tabs to fit your landscape preferences. For me the key feature was to be able to show unlimited appointments on my main screen.
already tried yota center?
Me I use UltimateLaunch that I looove with Yota

the first image you attached is your today screen? we can set wisbar advanced dekstop as our today screen?
Yes indeed, but as a today screen where you have full control of what to put on it!

how to set the WAD as today screen? by disable the TF3D only?
last time i did try WAD, but, i didn't set it as today screen, i need to launch it as other program to get WAD work.
so, everytime you soft reset or wake up your HD, you will see WAD in your today screen?
Just disabled TF3D, started WAD installation, and WAD came up as today screen automatically. Yes, WAD is full today screen, but you can choose if you want to keep the Start and taskbar on the top of the screen, or have it disappear. Most standard Today plugins work from inside the WAD today screen, too.

thanks a lot Lucas, i will try.
Thanks for the ideas.
I'm already using Yota Center and its a nice program.
The only thing is that I'd like to have more pages, cause 24 places is too few.
I'll try Mort Buttons, looks interesting though.
have you tried launchmanager ? it's not free though ...

Thanks just one more question. When launching the Music player or Photo Viewer etc, are they the normal HTC ones or are they customized now?
Are they still easy to use?
Also does all your programs work normally? And if you don't like the WAD, you can easily delete it?

No, they will not be the HTC apps embedded in TF3D. You will set up each icon to open up your own apps. I haven't heard of anyone being able to use the HTC player or album yet as stand alone apps.
Yes they are very easy to use!
WAD will not affect the way your programs run. It is simply a launcher program (one of the best that I've seen yet).
Yes, you can easily uninstall WAD by going to remove programs and uninstalling it from there...although I have a feeling you won't want to after you get the feel for what it can do to your today screen!
Thanks that was a great explanation
just one more question for example do you mean it won't have a built mp3 player or something like that but you have to download a 3rd party one and assign it?
EDIT: I just bought it and installed the Blueberry theme but doesn't show up properly, i wonder why. I'm missing the clock, the calender and whenever i press the box on the right side, a empty grey box opens.. weird.
EDIT: Fixed it up by selecting Wishbar Desktop rather than HD BlueBerry, weird. some parts are still German even after applying eng buttons.

You can set it up to use Windows Media player if you want to, otherwise a third party app is what you will need. CorePlayer or PocketPlayer are a couple to check out.
I haven't installed the Blackberry theme for WAD yet but I do no if you don't have the icons installed in the correct places the theme will not show properly. I ran into this same problem when installing Mallmans Vista theme. As soon as I went back and followed his instructions perfectly, the theme was correctly displayed.
I'm not familiar with setting up different languages so I'm afraid I won't be of any help to you there. You may check out the Lakeridge WAD forum for that.
Here is how I have my WAD looking right now, a tweaked version of Mallmans Vista theme!
Is there a way in WM6.1 sliding panels to have a different panel highlighted by default?
Right now it is setup to use the topmost panel as the clock panel by default, where it shows the expanded panel.
Is there a way to put the collapsed panel "message center" above that? This way the clock is still the highlighted panel, but the message center notifications (in collapsed form) sit on top?
Can I do this through the home.cpr or would I have to dig deeper?
Have a look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397334
Nex tiem please use the search button
not to be disrespectful (considering I have found TONS of help here, thanks everyone!),
but I have searched. And I've read this thread. I don't find what I need.
This shows how to dock the main panel. WHich is nice, but it doesn't tell me how to make the second panel as the primary highlighted panel. When you put the phone in its default mode, it uses the top panel as the main panel.
I'd like to use the 2nd panel as the default, and have collapsed panels on top and on bottom of it. Much like the style (I think) of the WinMo 6.5 look. I don't mean simply re-ordering of the panels.
Is that possible with 6.1?
i get what your saying still have the clock as the default panel so when you hit the end key it still takes you back to the clock panel but just have the message center above it. so it looks something like this.

Yes. Exactly.
Is that possible with WM6.1? Is it configurable through the cpr file?
honestly i don't know all i did was rearranged it with chome config to get a visual but that's not what you want hopefully someone can figure it out cause that would be cool.

just use the chome config to move the message center to be above the clock, save settings and you're done, that's what I did to move the titanium weather above my clock
on 6.1 what you move above the clock panel is now the new go to panel when you click the end key. i'd say bit the bullet and flash ookba's 6.5 roms at least that way you'll get the reaction from your phone that your wanting.
I guess its not possible on 6.1, then. I'm not on an HTC, I'm actually on a Samsung JACK. I don't know if there are 6.5 ROM's out for this phone. However, supposedly we'll get official 6.5 upgrade when it comes out. I'll just wait till then. I'll keep playing with 6.1 and seeing how far I can go with it before 6.5 hits.
Is there a way to configure what is displayed on the HOME SCREEN, besides going to SETTINGS for the limited options in HOME SCREEN?
Like i want to keep most things, but remove PICS, CALENDAR, etc.
And keep the titanium theme.
I did search, so I hope i dont get banned...
In the ROM is CHome Config also known as Titanium Configurator will change the panels that are shown and allow you to create and edit.
I fully understand your new and know that some of the software may not be eazy to identify what is.
Exactly, if you open CHome Config, you can hide and customize the panels with few clicks.
I know custom tabs for Manila has been discussed many times before, including one for tasks. But my question is different - is there a way to add tasks on home tab? Like replacing the call history or calendar entries. That's the only thing I've always missed in Manila - seeing if I have any active/due tasks right after I unlock my screen.
None interested?!
I'm definitely interested! I have no idea how to do it but I would love to see it. I've thought about this many times.
Well, obviously it makes only two of us. It seems is either unwanted and/or impossible..
+1 pls.
Sorry I have no clue how to do this
Yup, +1 here, makes 4.......
I don't know of a possibility to add tasks, but you can use this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=602221
You can place a today plugin, like TodayAgenda or some other Tasks app. to cover up for example the calendar part on the home screen. Or you can add it to the Operator tab.

This is actually pretty straight forward if you follow the steps correctly. This is the way I did it to put messaging on the home screen.
Install the 2D TodayPage cab
Stop TouchFlo (Start > Setting > Home > Items and unselect TouchFlo)
Soft reset (may not be necessary but better in my mind)
Run M2Dtp config from programs page
Press and hold the red area next to plugins lable
Select Tasks (or whichever you want)
Leave Window at Window_00
Set x=10 y=240 w=220 h=60
Choose M2D widget page (Home)
press apply
press menu
press OK
Start TouchFlo (Start > Setting > Home > Items and select TouchFlo)
Switch to another tab then back to home and it should be there.
NOTE: You may need to experiment with the X (Left) ,Y (Top),W (Width), and H (Height) but they should place your plugin right after the calendar
How about Sense2.5.1922
Yeah.. well, I am more interested in latest Manila 3D - Sense 2.1/2.5. Apologies for not specifying that. Adding it to the title.
I change the right soft-key of the Home tab in my Sense 2.1 to "Tasks"..
So, if I want to see my tasks, I just tap the right soft-key..
I would also really like to get Outlook Tasks incorporated into Sense!
As part of the 'home tab', the 'calendar tab' or as a separate 'tasks tab'; either, some or all are fine with me ;-)
It surprises me that Microsoft has downplayed Outlook Tasks in WinMo. In Outlook it is easily accessible and a really useful tool for 'appointments or To-Do's that are not strictly time-specific'. That at least is how I use tasks.
Therefore it is really annoying that you have to open a separate app (either MS' own or something like pTasks) to access them in WinMo.
To have Outlook Tasks show up in the calendar I have to use a full-blown program like Pocket Informant.
It's also strange to me that HTC has overlooked the incorporation of Outlook Tasks in their otherwise excellent Sense-UI!
I'm even surprised that the great programmers frequenting this fine forum seemingly does not think that Outlook Tasks is worth incorporating into Sense.
Apart from the ease of access that comes with incorporation into Sense it would also enhance the general 'user experience' to be able to access Outlook Tasks in the same UI that lets you access the other Outlook-functions like mail and calendar!
Hopefully someone will recognize this 'oversight' and remedy the situation soon ;o)
Does anybody know how to make Tasks beeing displayed on home tab? (the way appointments and other calendar entries are)
Shortcut to Tasks is not the way out - it would be perfect to have 'to do list' always on, under the clock

Hello!
It seems what you are using lua scripting in your mod? Can you create mod with tasks instead of appointments?
I'm not the only one who dreaming about such mod . There are many people using tasks without any appointments...
Best regards and sorry for my English.

Argg, I really need tasks on home page.
I'm about to remove Sense from my device and go back to WM today screen just because I can see tasks...
I agree to the best solution I found is installing pTask and make shortcut on the homescreen.
Hi!
I'm looking for a application that would add program shortcuts to the basic WM 6.1 home screen. Just 6-10 shortcuts, no tabs needed. Something like HTC Home or SPB Pocket Plus (annoying tabs, too many unneeded features).
I tested a few programs like this, but they made too many changes to the start menu.
And it would be cool, it that or another application would allow to quickly change phone profiles (normal/vibrate/silent) either by a programmable button or better by shortcuts on the home screen.
Please recommend, thanks.
Resco Conact Manager comes with a plugin for what you want
