where do i find "htc today"?

hi all.
iv'e got faria's WM6 rom on my tytn, works o.k. but i want to add htc today as installable plugin.
where do i find the cab or installation exe for this?

Refering to HTC Today, instead of the 5 or 6 button, is there any 3-button HTC Today like the original from HTC Touch? Couldn't seem to locate/search it anyway

not working with Schap's 3.54b, if installed it will appear like the normal 5 buttons HTC home plugin..anyone knows why?

I guess its because Shap allready enchached the HTC Home version in his rom. The plugin is allready cooked in the rom. So if you want to install a new one, you will have to put the files out of "read-only" mode so you can overwrite them. Sounds complicated, but in fact it's very logic. Search for a HTC Home folder

But I still can't find the folder which are you talking about..and I've read somewhere that in the Schap's 3.54b there isn't any folder of the HTC Home Plugin..and another point, the file that I've just downloaded it's a .cab self-installing..where I can get single files?

if i remember correctly schap said his plugin was made to 5 buttons but in registry u can edit it back into 6. let me get into schaps rom ill edit this post in a few min with a solution.

But I'm talking about 3 buttons..not five or six..just like the HTC Home Plugin of the Touch/Elf.. I think it's nicer and smarter..less buttons more fun..

is ur original reg entry. to get it to 3 do 1,2,3 to get to 6 do 1,2,3,4,5,6. in other edit that registry to whatever u like it to be.

just..any idea how to change the three buttons? I mean..I don't think that the contact button is useful for me..how do I can swap it with the button which allows to select faster the applications?

in shap's 1.54b rom you've to launch advanced configurator (built-in in attrezzi sistema )
there you'll find the "HOME" tab.
check only what you need and choose the position on the home plugin

I've just writed in the HKEY_Local Machine_Software_Htc_Home ecc.. not 1,2,3 but 1,3,4 (I was guessing that 4 was associated to the application launcher) and it works perfectly!!

I bought an HTC p3600 last week and upgraded it WM6 for no obvious reason at the time. I tried over 6 different ROMs, and no offense to the beloved cookers, i couldn't stand the bugs, so I downgraded to WM5 again. The only things I'm missing from WM6 are the task manager menu on the top right of today menu (xBotton), which was extremly handy, the lovely big TouchPad and KeyPad, keyboards which Bepe has put in his ROMs, which are very good for writing messages with one hand, and the quick search in emails, while you typed your search string while in the inbox or any other folders. The last but the least is of coures, HTC home which is so good looking and handy.
Now is there anyway i could install these on WM5? I need cracked versions of course, as i'm leaving in Iran and due to lovely embargos getting worse every day I have no means to pay for stuff. So pls comment.

Try using the Dopod WM6 ROM or search this forum for the cab files you want.

One example is that ActiveSync was loosing it's connections in one of the cooked ROM's. That's not a problem if you use it only as phone but not handy when you sync mail from Outlook etc.
It's a big bug, but within a day it was fixed in that ROM and I could choose to use other ROM too.
The forum is called XDA Developers and that means bugs, but lastest developments too. You can't ask a bug free ROM incl. the lastest software. If you want that bug free ROM, maybe you consider an official build or consider another sort of phone like a Nokia 3310.
OR
Define your most important feautures and select one which has those features working. Report the bugs in the other features, but don't complain about them.

I did installed successfully, without any trick or crack the HTC X-Button 1.5 onto my wm5 official Qtek ROM on my Wizard.
So you can definitely have it on your wm5 ROM, just try to find the cab on the forum, it is somewhere there.
If you don't find it PM me, I will upload it for you.

Please update me on which HTC Home and Touchflo's to be using

havent flashed in a long long time and now most the new rom's dont have HTC Home and Touchflo on them.
While searching on the forum, most results are roms so i am a bit confused.
For HTC Home, is this one well regarded?

and for touch flo, is K's still the popular choice?

Use the K´s latest ROM, because it is very good and nice, i think. The FTouchFLO isn´t in, but you can download the FTouchSL from www.4shared.com, just register and type in searchbox. Also don´t forget install the C++ CUBE, veeeeery goooood thing. It gives other dimension to your Hermie.

Which HTC Home should I use though?
For 'touchflo' i should go with C++ Cube and not FTouchSL

Samsung Today 2 Plugin .cab remove Navigation changed to Schedule

I have installed:
1) The time format will be corresponding regional setting
2) the navigation bar changed to calendar schedule, I think it is more practical to most ppl
In exchange, as Im using i780MSHC1 rom, can anyone give me a workable Windows Live Messenger? I have downloaded from the WLM thread but non of them work...

Hello, i used to own an Omnia and always liked it's today plugin...can someone resize it to make it fit on my HTC Kaiser ?

TouchFLO or M2D on the LG INCITE!!!

I've been playing around with the Incite a good bit and discovered that M3D works a lot better on it than it did on the Tilt, but there is no WQVGA version of it, so that led me to search around a bit. After a bit of searching, I discovered that there is a version of M2D for the Omnia, and guess what! It works on the Incite too! And this is how to do it.
1. Install the M2D all in one cab file. (make sure you have 20mb in the phone storage and install directly to the phone, NOT the storage card or it will not work)
2. Install the Opera browser cab for the internet tab (works from the storage card)
3. Install the SECcontact cab (this is to view contacts in the contact list)
The only tab that doesn't work is the comm tab. Other than that, the Incite renders the program flawlessly. (no probs with standby, powering off, etc.) Enjoy!

Thank you very much, well, now we have a fully functional M2D! Another thing is that if you want to use one of the comm managers from that thread, it works just as well.

hi guys, i also have M2D on my incite and works fairly well. im also using the omnia m2d cab. i tried M3D for tilt but didnt work well.

Thats because the the M3D cab is QVGA, the Incite is WQVGA. If someone could port M3D to WQVGA our devices would run it better than the tilt, and not have the same issues.

So now I'm gonna work on some themes for M2D, will be posted them soon!

well, not everyone here is a member there, so I'll pick the best there, give credit, and post them here. thank you, and I already knew about them.

Is anyone else having the issue where scrolling side-wise through the tabs lags a bit?
It looks like it tries to load whatever tab my finger is over while scrolling ... and it slows down the phone considerably.

I have installed the manila 2D and now I am not able to find the FM radio application. I listen to the radio a lot. can some one help me where i can find the FM radio applicaiton.

I have another question though. I installed M2DC in order to install some skins for M2D. The only ones i could find were Omnia skins. When i install them the scroll bar (the one with home, people, ect.) is not at the bottom resulting in about 3/8" of unused screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Those skins are WVGA and your phone is WQVGA, which is why it doesn't display properly. In order to fix it, open M2C and restore original layout and it should fix it.

LG Incite ROM Flash How to
Hey guys, reading through this, and seems like good stuff, but...after flashing my HTC with unlocking and all that, my question is, how do I initiate this program? Do I have to unlock the Incite first?

I've tried to drop this on my phone. Sorry guys, I've been out of the archive for a long time. Trying to update to the M2D. What is a CAB file and how do i create one for dropping this program onto? THe original version of this phone is way to slow...looking to update..pls help
