iPaq rz1710 - Old junk - Portuguese Rom needed

I found this junk around here - iPaq rz1710 - Discontinued.
It has the original WM2003 ROM - English.
I would like to put a Portuguese one in it. I searched HP.com and googled and I found nothing.
But does anyone know if a "normal" Portuguese WM2003 ROM will work?
And if it does, Wich "normal" is that? Is there any "normal"/"global" ROM for PDAs/PPC? Or only for "Old" iPaqs...

Need help translating roms

hellow 2 all
i wish to start translating roms for our community here, i would start with the tmob aku 3.3 german rom since some people would want it in english and dutch for my dutch board friends over here.
I have the darkforce rom in dutch and since for the universal never a dutch official rom was released i think there must be some guide or somebody who can give me a start on this
Anyone has some experience on this , i dll the lang v2.1 and reshacker and have lots of "hobbytime"
Also my girlfriends speaks german and would help me on a usable translation.

In a ROM you would need to change the *.mui files according the languages
Like "shellres.dll.0407.mui" (0407 for German) to "shellres.dll.0409" (0409 for English)

German WM6 Rom from HTC

Hi there,
has anybody the german WM6 Rom from the HTC Website?
I think HTC removed it because of the phonepad bug and i was to late to download it. The english rom would be also fine if nobody has the german version.

There was never a official German or English WM6 Rom on HTC website.

so what can i do if i want wm6 german on my p3600?

Change HTC Excalibur Language

Hi, mi dear modder friends, i wanted to know, how can i change the language in a HTC Excalibur, a friend of mine killed it, (i dont know how), and i was able to update the ROM to this one: 1.33.422.1 (Worldwide English, WM6), but the problem is, he doesn't know very much how to speak or read english, so i am asking to you all please to teach me how to change the lang to spanish? thx in advance

You would need to download the spanish version of the rom I believe.

So just let me get this straight because the new 6.1 rom has spanish as a t9 (texting) language however the whole phone is not in spanish. Try this okay...
To install eT9 keyboard mapping changer: 1) Download THIS. 2) Transfer all the cabs and the .css file to your \Windows folder via ActiveSync 3) Place the .lnk file in your 'My Documents' folder 4) Using 'File Explorer' (on your phone), click on "Excalibur eT9 Changer" and pick the layout. 5) Reboot your phone

Thanx 4 the detail, but the truth is, i rather stay with Windows Mobile 6.0, haven´t had any trouble with my Apaches WM6, though i cooked my own kitchen but had some errors hehe :´(, well the thing is, i wanted to know if someone has any ROM or if they can make a ROM which includes spanish as a language (as in REGIONAL SETTINGS/LANGUAGE), as i said b4, my friend doesnt mangage to speak or read english that much as i can :-S Thanx in advance, if it wasn´t by all you modders we wouldn´t have the pleasure to upgrade

how to change language??

my brother hav recently installed a customized touchflo2d rom in his asus p320.. but the only problem he's facing is that the rom is in russian language..
i tried to change the language from the regional setting option but that didnt work....
is there any way to change the rom's language from russian to english???
pls help, plss!!

language is hardcoded in the roms
if you flash it with a english rom it turns english
wwe == world wide english look for a rom with WWE in the name
