VERY VERY EXCELLENT! I am so happy you have done this. Just a quick question though, how much free storage and program memory does your X01HT have running your rom?
-Joe.
What did you do to make the battery icon look like that with a percentage value instead of just bars?

It is possible.
It is thought that "samurai-FINAL" makes two kinds of OS (English and Japanese).

softbank mail sms mms
Hello, just wondering, Mr. Samurai-ne, if you could post cabs of the mail applications (mms mail, and sms mail) for this rom. I want to use them with other roms.
I know the MMS version you used for this rom is msslite 2.75, but for some reason it causes non-Japanese wm6 roms to crash. Why does it work perfectly in Japanese roms? Did you modify it?
ALso, what about sms? What is the application? How to install on non-Japanese roms, eg. black 4.0, lsvw, elf, etc. Now, I run black with mmslite 2.75 installed, but it crashes often. And, I have no way to install sms...
Any ideas would be appreciated. Best regards from Kyoto!
Thank you for your effort.
Excellent!!
I can use MMS Lite 2.75 on LVSW or Black as following:
1. delete registry reference for Arcsoft:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Acrsoft
2. install japanese font
http://www.asukal.jp/WM5/LetsJapanNo5x.cab
then SoftReset
3. install MMSLite 2.75
About SMS, you can use default Messaging from start menu
Also take a look to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298919
After checking MMS is working, you can change locale back to English because some programs are not working with Japanese Locale (Start -> Settings -> System->Regional Setting)
Good luck,

I am really liking the 209 the best. Although i was having the most problems with it. The 900 is super fast though.
I've had no problems with either 3 of the builds. It's just that I get bit by the flashing bug
They are all very fast vs. the lower builds. Or more responsive. (IMO)
I just reflashed 701 from 900 and I set my wife up with 209. All very stable. I like 701 the best as it seems just a little bit faster than the other two. The only thing that bugs me about 701 is the numlock while in a call.
I only tried the 19900 build and for me I think so far (24 hours) everything works well and the way it should be... I wish thou there was a lite version of it without few apps (i.e. Lich Viet, Synchro Time, Getting Started, Network Wizard) whereas the last one for example takes about 2 mb (2 mb are valuable on Hermes) I like the ROM anyway and I'll try it during the next week.
PS I got the Infrared port transfer working on this 6.1 ROM at last (respect)
FLASH them and find out yourself!!
Flash them and find your personal fav!!
I've flashed all of them and they all are very stable..
thx for the ans.. I've tried 900 and 701... I'll try 209 in other day!
with 701 in my hermes the edge icon doest appear... there's no 3g in my city but 701 shows "U" and not "E"..
regards!!

900 has the number lock also...just tested it.
Would love to see it gone.
I just flashed 900 directly from 701....I really don't see a difference between the two...both fast.
Jim
I installed 900 today (black and clean) and so far its pretty good. I had to installed a lot of cabs to make it run like I like it, but thats just me. The Icons suck bad though, does anyone know where I can install new icons? When I switch to Edge, the big icon shows a U and the other tower icon shows an E.
A few recommended tweaks as the default settings are not to my liking.
Turn on word completion (I like this, you may not, it does slow your phone a little)
Change Backlight and Power options (one of the power options made it hard to use with ActiveSync, as it kept turning off my phone while connected)
Change Key Lock (otherwise the Internet Explorer button keeps turning on your phone and internet connection)
Disable Microphone AGC
Change SoftKey settings
You may want to change the Up/Down controls in the Buttons menu. Its set to extreme settings. This makes this ROM appear to move really really fast, its can be too fast though.
Turn off Beam if you dont use it.
Change GPRS - Setting (I read online that AT&T should be set to CHAP, I didn't change the Class 8 setting though, {class 8=4 download slots and 1 upload slot - better for higher speed downloads} {class 10=3 download slots and 2 upload slots - better for higher speed uploads like if you send a lot of emails or pics or files})
I also made a few tweaks using Schaps Advanced Config Tool.

I didnt realize difference btw 701 and 900.. I'll try 209.. crcs with this build 209 is very fast!!

19209 - is not a lite version but still very nice
19400 - lite version
19701 - lite version with UC compliance
19900 - lite version with UC compliance
my personal view : -
19209 - I like the todays setup .. nice & clean .. still theres a lot of software i didnt used.
19400 to 19900 has the same same features but 19900 is the fastest i supposed.
attach pics show that i've tried to imitate the 19209 today screen
19701 - very stable
19900 - unstable abit
PDAViet
19900 - Peachy
Build 19900 is working really nice in my tytn. i cannot make video call though. if anybody has the solution to this video calling problem please share.

Did you install the Black version (with 3G Dialer)?
The last two versions I tried were a 19400 and the B&C 19900.
An issue I have with both is I almost never again receive the SMS "sent notifications", although the parameter is set to automatic notification always.
19900 is being quite slow with hang-ups, which I did not experience with previous builds. But I wonder if this is not simply due to the page pool setting. Could someone recommend best possible settings, knowing I don't usually use thousands apps at the same time.

Yes, the black version with 3G dialer but everytime I try to make a video call it says 'failed to make video call'. I used to make a lot of video call on WM6.0. Now the no. I used to call from WM6 cant be anymore here WM6.1
I need advice. Can anyone advice how to enable the videocall on Diamond with WM6.5?? Appreciate
in germany you need umts. i think it the same what 3g was by apple. dont really know, but normal gsm is to slow for viedo.
the same question!
Anybody?
I've never made a video call but... First turn on your 3g in comm manager, if not enabled, then check if your rom's dialer has video call button. Then, at least in my country it's that way, call your operator to see if video call is supported with your plan and activate it if not, then the person you are calling should also have it enabled and supported. Then all should be working.
Is it because the video call option isnt there on your dialer?
Thats whats holding me back from WM6.5..
Video is part of the HTC dailer not the MS one thats included. You will need to install the HTC dailer. Take note tho, your lock screen will not work fully anymore, and on some dailer versions, if you scroll, text will overlap from both dail pads. I don't run any of this but following Miri's thread, this is what has generally been reported.
Looks like WM6.5 is still very experimental at this stage.
I don't really use the lock feature anyway, but overlapping text scrolling would be a prob.
I'm mainly interested in WM6.5 coz Im wondering if I would be happier with it's default today screen.. so I can make do without TF3D, thus leaving it with more memory left.
Any soul here can lead us to the HTC video dialpad which actually works well with WM6.5?

Maybe we can disable certain dailer PAD, it will make your system cannot support video call.

i have tested it for sometime fast and complete till now no issue except the weather showing wrong decimals ie ( i ) instead of ( d )
is M2D included and MMS?
why do people always want M2D on these 6.5 roms? The most noticable changes with 6.5 are the homescreen, the start menu and the newer version of IE...m2d instantly would stop you seeing 2 of the 3 new bits.
m2d also takes up too much RAM on these 6.5 roms so i hope it's not there
are the usual pdhee problems there with this rom?
IE localisation, WWE font issues, and thai keyboards?
Been using this room with the basic today screen, looks pretty good to me so far.
Comes with all the usual bits and pieces:
Synchrotime.
Advanced Config.
wmstorage
and a few others.
Keyboard is Thai, but i added my own pcm keyboard preference, always do.
Fonts all seem to be ok.
No MMS i think. IE sems to be ok too, although i don't really do a lot of phone browsing.
Exchange sync worked flawlessly.
After adding my own bits and pieces (themes, hbutton, batterystatus and a few other random little tweaks), from a reset:
Program:
In Use: 29.76
Free: 22.11MB
Working quite nicely so far, pretty quick. Best 6.5 rom i've tried(haven't tried that many)
Would you like to upload a mirror link on rapidshare??

Good job Blade0rz....I'll try it on my Zest when I get home.

Thanks man~
So Great! Many Many Thanks!
Any Chinese Support for this rom?
Camera Problem.
Is The Camera Issue Just For The OEM Camera Application Or Does It Affect All Programs Which Access The Camera?
Meaning Does CoolCamera Or Any Of The Other Camera Apps Suffer This Issue.
Ill Be Getting A Zest Soon And Hope To Start Developing Roms And Apps For It.
Cant Wait Till My Damn Zest Gets Ordered

Installation was no problem.
The following is not moaning....just constructive (hopefully) feedback.
Is the "new" interface a result of the ROM being v23028?
Everything is too big for the screen. Even the dialer window has a vertical scroll bar because the buttons at the bottom are too tall?
Some of the fonts are too big too....click the reception strength icon....a ghost bar appears (what is that!?) click the ghost reception strength icon and "Wireless Manager" text for example is too big.
Are the DPI values set correctly?
Doing a hard reset to see if it corrects these.
.....................
Hard reset gave same "issues".
Also:
No icon for setting owner name
Keyboard options does nothing
ASUS Gester needs disabling by default (IMHO ) (FileExplorer drag doesn't work with it runed on)
Stll playing...will update again soon

All of the new icons/screens are the new "finger-friendly" releases of WM6.5 (23022+) and are in early beta so all have the same issues. Personally I love the new bigger buttons & "ghost" panel for the taskbar. Makes everything a little easier.
As for the owner name/keyboard icons, you can enable the settings using these registry changes:

These will be enabled in the next release, along with Gester being switched off.
Any Chinese Support for this rom?

Is The Camera Issue Just For The OEM Camera Application Or Does It Affect All Programs Which Access The Camera

I haven't tried any 3rd part apps, so I'm not sure. ThrashMan has some workarounds to the camera issue in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=509044&page=8
Also, as an aside, I have found that the following version of Manila 2D works flawlessly with this ROM:

The ghost bar is interesting but functionally questionable as it means clicking 2 icons to get the volume control (for example) on the screen.
The rest of the alterations look like they were scaled for WVGA so shouldn't take too much to get everything to fit properly
Congrats on your first ROM release...gj :thumb:

Hi Blade0rz!
First I would like to thank you for this rom and I'll try it when I came back to home. Till now I was cooking roms for HTC Trinity, but 1 week ago I bought XDA Zest and now it's time to cook roms for Zest
Blade0rz please tell me, is there a way to cook roms on ervius visual kitchen to our Zest?
BTW. I think newer build - 23034, is better than 23028

I don't think so, although I haven't tried too hard I usually just use the BuildOS+PackageTools kitchen for building as I find it quick and easy.
I am running 23034 on my Zest right now, just need to package & upload it later on It's very solid & fixes a lot of GUI issues.
OMG....now you're just teasing us!!
Welcome to Zest tomme45i....look forward to seeing your ROMs
New build is on first page
\o/ Thanks m8
Awesome rom! Smooth, and the only bug i've found so far are the camera ones.
My only complaint is that you removed the Asus Eziphoto app, i really like the way you could rotate photos by just making the twisting motion with your finger. (if anyone knows a good photo viewer with this functionality, give me a shout please)
Thanks for the new build, keep up the good work.
Oh, and could you please tell me how you got the bottom taskbar to look as it does in the screen shots you've attached to the first post? (The ugly grey circles annoy me, sorry)

Usually Asus apps are removed as they take up needless space, but to each their own
The taskbar is a result of m.carroll's beautiful GlossBlack theme:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=512849
The reason it is not included in the ROM is that it causes messageboxes to have a grey background. Other than that, it's flawless & really improves the look of the UI.
Blade0rz thank you for your rom. I have some troubles with upgrade from XDA Zest rom (7.7) to this rom, but finally I made it Do you have in your plans to upgrade to Build 23037?
Cheers
