Anyone know what device it is?
Polaris or more recently named the "Touch Cruise" well this is the device it is based upon in a similar way the original Orbit was based on the Artemis - Mike

I hear over and over again of a corporate mode for XDA exec. I have a iMate Jasjar does the corporate upgrade work for that model. what does it exactly do anyways?
If you have a jasjar it is already in the equivalent of corporate mode. Corporate mode is an option on o2 devices to not install any of the o2 active interface as it is total crap!

do you know where i can find the latest jasjar rom
tempelier245:
I think you can find a copy (I am not sure if its the latest though...) of the JasJar ROM on the ftp site.
here is a link: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/
(also on the top left side of this page) just look for the link therein for the universal and/or ftp pages.
A note though: from reading some of the threads, I understand that many people who bought the JasJar, actually prefer to install the O2 ROM -
as it is a later/updated version and (at least appears from what I read) is supposedly less problematic.
I have no actual experience as to which is better, as I have the Exec, and apart from some expected small glitches here and there - have no real issues with its ROM.
thanks... but there are different files, one is 60mb and another just 6.... there is also an o2 rom.... so wich one should I install
I've tried to install O2Plus tools (from Orbit Extended ROM - avaible in xda-developers ftp site) on my Artemis and the installation went well, but at the end a message appeared: "This program is designed for use in Orbit only" -- something like this. And then although I could see the O2 plugins among Today items, after choosing them nothing happened...
Since the Orbit and the Artemis have the same hardware I think O2 stuff doesn't harm Artemis and has some useful features that HTC lacks (profiles, last call indicator, etc.)
Would you, guys so kind to try to modify the cab file in order to make it usable in Artemis too?
I try to attach the cab file here.
Thanks in advance!
cheers
there are o2 plus that have been 'modified' to be used on others. try a search on the forum.

Yes, I know. I have even downloaded one cab (O2 Plus ver. 2.3). But it's double size than the one I attached and - to tell the truth - I would have more confidence in the version that was made especially for Artemis (taken that Artemis = Orbit).
So, the kind request is still valid.
cheers
Sorry to ask this again all, but has anybody got a list of which Roms preserve the original tomtom id and which ones don't?
I have pre-registered TomTom, and I cannot activate the maps again (as I have already done so when moving to my new PDA). I'm using Mun TE at the moment, any ideas?
Thanks for your help.
mUn TE is the ONLY ROM I found which does this.
I tried all the official HTC/Dopod Wm6 ROMs, Indigo Full and Light.
My Traffic subscription runs out in December, at which point I will reapply with a brand new account which will be based on one of the Dopod or HTC WM6 ROM device ID's.
I think the whole business with Device ID's, TomTom and HTC all passing the buck is a bloody joke.
Im quite new to this, but I read somewhere that the HTC touch and all the touch series are not real touch systems like the iPhone in that they also allow the use of a stylus.
Does this mean that they basically use the same type of screen as the other devices and as such the Touchflow system is just a Software trick ?
That led me to wonder if the Touchflow system could be flashed onto other devices I have an XDA Exec (Universal) and an XDA Orbit (not sure of the HTC designation for this) so Im specifically asking about these two devices.
Thanks in advance.
Touchflo!!
If you search threads for Xda orbit (HTC Artemis or HTC P3300) touchflo, you can download the ROM to replace the existing ROM on your Orbit and this will allow you to use the touchflo on your phone!
I've been using it for the past few months and it's all fine at the moment.
I hope that enough info for you!
I have recently upgraded from and O2 XDA Orbit to XDA Zest and really like what I see, but there were some things on the Orbit which do not appear to be on the Zest:
What has happened to the handy little O2 Today plugin that could show the next however many appointments you wanted on the Today screen and also up to 6 shortcuts to applications that would fit in one little line across the screen?
Also, I tried to install a phonepad to input with instead of the keyboard, etc. but it only shows up REALLY small on my screen. Any ideas or better suited ones than the HTC one?
