Hi
I have search but can't find an answer to this problem.
I have tested some different rom's and they have all worked well more or less.
Yesterday i tested: PDAViet_WM6.1_WWE_3.62.61.11_B19716 and installed som apps.
All worked ok to start with, then the blink leds went black and the green and red phonebutton started to light all the time.
I tryed to softreset without any luck so i shutoff the phone and removed the batteri, started i up and all was fine.
But it happened again so i decide to install PaysWWE210Full, hi's rom's work's well i think.
Guess what, the blink led's still don't work but the green and red phone button is not lighted
All other stuff work's.
If anyone have a clue what's wrong, please tell me.
edit: None of the buttons, green/redphone or the other seems to work.
The keybord works.
edit: Seems that no hardwarebutton at the front of the phone works.
The buttons at the side of phone and the hardwarekeyboard works.
sorry for my bad english.
I finaly got it to work
I took out the battery whithout turning the phone off first, waited some minute and then turned on the phone again, and now it works!

ok so i searched on the sites for a fading to a white screen problem but it looks like its related to the dpad... my phone was really low on battery last night it kept beeping continuously... so by the time i got to plug it in the screen started to fade to white... now the screen has vslight vertical lines and every time i shut off the phone with the power button and turn it on it comes normal but as soon as u touch the screen it fades to white!!! was this caused by the low battery. i fully charged it but still have the same prob. i tried clearing my storage and that didn't help..what do i do?
white screen
you will need to replace the board for the dpad.
ok thanks. is this the same issue that others are having as well? the wierd thing is half the time it works the other half it doesnt...
I had a similar problem. I had pressed the power button to check the time and screen was white! SR rebooted and after the first splash screen the screen faded to white. I finally founded a product called Pocket Controller http://www.soti.net/ (trial ver works fine) that allowed me to see my phone on my computer. I was then able to backup my data to the storage card. I reflashed the phone and it’s worked fine afterwards.
yeah man thats what happened to me exactly... im reflashing the official wm6 rom now... ill post what happens... thanks

damn it didnt work with me my screen still goes in and out when it chooses to. and it is my dpad b/c it stops working when the screen is gonna go..
Hi,
Try tightening the screw behind the red hang up button on the dpad. There is a component behind there which causes this problem. If tightening doesn't work try loosening. It's all to do with the pressure on the chip. Very odd problem.
Also try squeezing the bottom right hand corner of the phone and SR.
Bonkers solution for a bonkers problem but it certainly fixed one of mine.
Good luck!
yes, the screw tightening/unloosing thing works for me. same thing happened when i dropped my unit. i even completely dismantled it (managed to fix the microsd card spring). something loose with the connections.
niec guys thanks... i will try the tightening and loosening the screw... i tried holding down the bottom right and SR didn't work but thanks anway... i guess i have to buy a screw driver to open this thing up... god i remember when i had to take apart my mpx 220 im getting flashbacks!!!
Had exactly the same problem but mine was due to an phone shop employee dropping it. It would do exactly the same as yours. Sometimes it would work fine and once when I reflashed it the problem went away for a few days but if came back.
I used to control it using Soti pocket controller but them migrated to Net Support as that allowed me to control over wifi. In the end had to get it replaced.
Does anybody know if there is a registry entry I can check out for the green phone button on a 8525. I have CRC's latest 6.1 ROM. My green phone button doesn't seem to work at all.
appreciate the help.
Ray
Try a different ROM, I dont think there is any registry to it, but I might be wrong. If it doesnt work on a different ROM, then most likely your hardware is giving out!
does the phone complete the boot cycle and function as normal (pda functions and phone calls) just no green light?
I agree with reinstalling or changing ROMs.
As you know, should light up solid (just up to about 10 seconds or so depending on ROM) on initial startup and then begin blink as it boots.
I too had a problem like this when I tried to switch to Pays Rom. When I booted up the phone and pressed the green button it would work one time, but after that nothing it turned into a useless button and would do nothing until the next softreset. This happened every single time. Flashed the rom with nothing on the phone.
I went back to VP3Gs Rom until 6.1 is more stable. I wish you luck in finding a fix though. And yes I too have the 8525
same problem here
Yep!!, same problem, none of my buttons, work, they ware working yestarday, loorking for new rom as I tipe, really like the rom, exept for the little bugs.
It does light up. Actually before this I had a Schaps 6.0 rom and the call button didn't work either but at the beginning it worked. Before that I had the retail rom and the button worked.

I love this rom right now its so fast. I just temporarily remapped my button 5 to phone for now. When I have time I'll switch to the retail 6.1 rom and see if the button works. If it doesn't I'm going to assume the hardware is done.
Hi @ all,
I have a big problem with my Desire.
I rooted it and installed AOKP Build 39 on it. Everything went fine, no problem up to this time. I did several restarts, everything ok.
Now, today the phone suddenly turned black, no reaction to any command. So I pulled the battery, put it back again, and then, nothing happened.
My desire only shows a black screen, none of the buttons are working (even Vol- + Power or trackball+Power). Even more suspicious is, that the loading LED is not showing up, although my phone is connected to the loading cable.
I really don´t know what to do. Does anybody of you have an idea what the problem could be?
PS: right now ist started vibrating (endlessly...)

I think that you can begin with construction bussiness, cause you have a nice and expensive brick...
Sent from my HTC Desire via flashes and thunders
Trackball + power isn't supposed to do anything, back button + power is.
But anyway if volume button + power doesn't work and that one neither, I think it's a brick as nlooooo said. Also because the LED isn't working. What does it do when connected to PC? Nothing I assume?
Yes, unfortunately connecting it to the PC does nothing.
What do you think, any chance to get it replaced?
if its still under warranty then u could chance sending it back to htc, just say u tried turning it on in the morning and... nothing just black screen. do NOT say anything bout s-off etc etc. im mean if ya cant even access hboot or no led lights or anything how will they know mite aswell try
dont forget take out ur sdcard incase they look at it n find a rom lol

No battery is not the problem. The same thing with another battery.
I´m still in waranty period, so I´ll have a try
Thanks for your help.
Can anybody imagine why this happend? I mean the rom was working proberly, no errors during flashing, etc. And can a faulty rom/flash cause a fail of even the loading led?
I always thought that such "simple" things as loading are done directly by the hardware without any influence of the software installed on the phone (especially as loading has to work even if the phone is switche offline)

I think it's a big hardware prob. Can u boot into android, even if the screen's dead? Maybe u can provide the devs with a logcat.
Our G7 can be troublesome sometimes......
Maybe it´s a problem of the mainboard. As i cannot even switch on the phone. when I press the power button nothing happens. So, no logfiles.
I´ll send it to the producer tomorrow.
Did you get it fixed?
Hi!
I brought my Xperia Play phone USED two years ago and I've never had any problems with it.
However, recently, the phone has started to freeze itself in "screensaver" mode (Where the screen goes black after 15 seconds and locks the phone), but the screen won't light up no matter which button I press. I've had to restart the phone every time this happens.
It's been behaving strange at start up as well, as it sometimes take 20 minutes just for it to turn on, while on other occasions, it won't turn on at all!
Is this problem caused by the battery, or is it the hardware?
Is it with stock firmware?

Yes.
I've never modded it or installed custom firmware/apps.
Have you tried factory resetting it?

Yes, but it didn't fix it. The problem still occurs.
tldr: Black screen, no display, everything works "under" (I can answer the phone etc). Not a flex cable problem because occurs randomly, regardless of the slider being open or closed. The problem also occurs during boot up, so rather not a software problem.
I think I have something similiar. Everything was fine until a few days ago the screen didn't want to unlock..or at least I thought it was that.
Basically the phone sometimes works OK but sometimes if I turn off (lock) the screen, it won't go back. To be precise, the phone works and if someone calls me I can pick it up moving the finger where the slider should be, it's just the display doesn't turn on. Same goes for booting, bootloader logo etc, so IMO it's not a software problem.
Strange thing is that it just randomly pops back, sometimes when I move the gamepad slider, sometimes when I put in a jack cable or if I hard reset the phone (remove battery). I've had problems with the flex cable in the past and this time I know that it's not it (no difference if I open/close the slider).
My guess would be some power supply or LCD driver IC issues, because the screen stops working almost everytime if I put the phone into the dock. Moreover, if the screen doesn't work, the orange charging LED is not working (green and blue are OK). The moment the screen starts working, the orange charging LED starts working too.
it's very strange but I'm used to electronics doing strange stuff. Just wondering if I should give a try disassembling the phone and trying to fix it or just buy a new one or something?
I might add that I have bought a new battery ~3 months ago, but it's been working fine to this point. I have tried if the same problem occurs with the old/original battery and it's the same.
well, any ideas?
edit: This video shows something very similiar (except the backlight): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4p0-kv1cxA
Same problem. And I guess this guy has it too.

Any help?
Hello everyone,
I have since the first time an LG G3 (D855) that I root and that works very well.
Recently I bought a new one from a friend for my girlfriend.
He never root it, he reset it and sent it to me by mail.
At the reception, I turn on the phone and there, I have the LED lights, sound start but nothing on the screen.
It reacts when I put the finger on the screen so the touch sensor works.
I try a restart and battery removal but nothing better.
The screen has no shock but I told myself that perhaps during the trip he took a bad cut.
I hope it's just a miswired table, so I dismounted to check, but still nothing.
ThenI try something, I disconnect my phone too and I swapped motherboards.
And then the screen with my card in it work.
While my screen with the motherboards of the phone I just bought stay blank.
So the screen is not broken, perhaps it was a install problem.
So I use LG Flash Tool to reinstall the original rom (following a tutorial )
Everything goes well and ends without worries.
But that didnt change anything, the screen is still black.
Do you have an idea ?
Thank you in advance for your assistance and sorry for my bad english
I just realized that if I strongly illuminates the screen I can see that it works.
It' like brightness was at zero.
It's not a screen problem because when I plug it to the other motherboard brightness is ok.
Someone had this issue?
Same problem here
So I'm having the same problem at the moment, but this is the 2nd time that this has happened to me. Last time. I fixed it by changing charger. It worked for like 2-3 month and then I switched again and the problem came back. I suggest you try a few charges. It took around a week before it got fixed.
Hope it'll work for you.
BTW it was a Nokia charger
Black screen G2 after some seconds even during boot...

Exactly the same problem on my LG G2.
It often go to black screen, but it's not totally OFF. Touch work, and the screen the same, i noticed using a torch that the brightness when to something like zero, but if i increase the level, it stay dark. Only press power button sometimes come back, but few second later... Dark screen again.
It happens everywhere during boot, in home, in lockscreen, in TWRP.
I tried:
- Change rom
- Flash stock firmware...
- Totally switched off for 2 months
- Detach and reattach the screen
- Test proximity sensor in hidden menu
Nothing worked.
If anyone has an idea...
