ATT network: not able to browse through IE but I do with MiniOpera
Hi, I have a TMobile Dash that I unlocked and then installed the ROM HTC_WWE_1.33.422.1_4.1.13.51_03.07.90. I'm using it in ATT network. After I entered the settings for ATT and try to browse the internet using IE, it keeps telling me "The Requested Page cannot be displayed". It used to work before installing the new ROM although I'm not 100% sure about the settings. BUT If I use OperaMini instead, I don't have any problems to access the internet. I've been trying to play around with the settings but nothing works. In case anybody is interested, these are the settings I entered: GPRS Connections: Description: ATT GPRS Access Point: wap.cingular Username: [email protected]ULARGPRS.COM Password: CINGULAR1 Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0 Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0 IP Address: Proxy Connections: Description: ATT WAP Connects from: The Internet Connects to: WAP Network Proxy: wireless.cingular.com:80 Type: HTTP Username: Password: And then in IE options: Automatically detect settings: Unchecked Select network: WAP Network Thanks. = J =

need help configuring sms/mms and data connection
Hello all, I have an unlocked T-Mobile Dash which I flashed with Kavana’s 6.1 ROM - Remade by Ricky. I am using it on AT&Ts network and need help setting up the sms/mms and data connections. So far I used the following for the data connection, I setup a new gprs conn with wap.cingular as the AP, [email protected] as the user and CINGULAR1 as the pw. For MMS i modeified the sample config file and used mmsc.cingular.com as the url, wireless.cingular.com as the gateway using port 80 and set it to connect via the WAP net. SMS is not working and I do not know what I would need to configure. Any help from the geniuses is appreciated. Thx.
This is a VERY common request that most likely no one will answer for you. You should use the search feature and MMS ATT Dash you should find what your looking for it me almost 5 months to get MMS to work. first for what ever reason it does not work instantly. I had just given up and then 2weeks later I got a picture text. I was soooo happy, but I still could not send a picture text 10 days later I was able to send picture text. If you have AT&T unlimeted texting plan make sure you are on the the edge because my Dash is always switching to GPRS. If you send pictures audio, video via texting, make sure the E is showing in the tool bar cause if you have a G you will be charged for the message. Without seaeching on my Dash to verify I'm sure this is the setup I'm currently using. Using an HTC s620 (unlocked Tmobile Dash) on AT&T’s network Proxy Settings Start>Settings>Connections>Proxy> Menu>Add Description: AT&T WAP Connects from: The Internet Connects to: WAP network Proxy (name: port): wireless.cingular.com:80 Type: HTTP Username: (leave blank) Password: (leave blank) GPRS Connections Start>Settings>Connections>GPRS>Menu>Add Description: AT&T IMS Connects to: The Internet Access point: ims.cingular User name: (leave blank) Password: (leave blank) Authentication Type: None Primary DNS: (leave blank...will later default to 0.0.0.0) Secondary DNS: (leave blank...will later default to 0.0.0.0) IP address: (blank) Start>Settings>Connections>GPRS>Menu>Add Description: MEdia Net Connects to: The Internet Access point: wap.cingular User name: [email protected] Password: CINGULAR1 Authentication Type: CHAP Primary DNS: (leave blank...will later default to 0.0.0.0) Secondary DNS: (leave blank...will later default to 0.0.0.0) IP address: (blank) Advanced Connections Settings Start>Settings>Connections>Menu>Advanced Internet Connection: Automatic Work Connection: Automatic WAP Connection: Automatic Secure WAP Connection: Automatic Open Internet Explorer, Menu>Tools>Options>Connections Auto Detect Settings: Unchecked Select Network: The Internet MMS SETUP (Text/Multimedia), Menu, New, MMS, Menu, Options, Message Options, Menu, MMSC Settings, Menu, New o Name: Cingular MMS o MMSC URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com o WAP Gateway: wireless.cingular.com o Port: 80 o Connect Via: The Internet o Max. This is an important thread, Ive added tags so people can find it easier when searching, If anybody else can add some more tags that would be cool. I plan on swithing to ATT after I move and will probly come back here to use this.
I have a Wing on At&t, I thought all hope was lost for me. The network wizard didn't work, and I couldn't use all my web apps. Thanks a bunch man, those settings did it for me. I'm going to repost this in the Herald forum!
