T-Mobile UK Customisation Cabs on FTP

Hi Guys
I have copied all the T-Mob customisations out, but have not uploaded them to the FTP, if you need them pls IM and I will send them to you.
This is not just the ExtROM, this includes the customisation cab that they have planted in the Windows folder too, inc XML files.
Hope you find them useful.

I would find these very useful.
Any chance you could put on rapidshare or the like.

Oh god yes! I upped to WM6 without thinking this through, just days before selling on my Vario2. I don't think I'll have to much problem putting my 'Phone on ebay with WM6 on it but I'm sure it will be be less 'saleable' without the T-Mobile look'n'feel.

If you are of a mind to, the easy way is to use WinRar to inpack the bundle into a folder on your comptuer with the phone synced using ActiveSync. Then run the autorun's. The second option is to put only the cabs that you want to use on the storage card and, one at a time, click on them and they will individually install on your device.
Either way should work. I hope this is helpful.

*To install English (US) keyboard mapping: 1) Download HKBoySiR's Tegic eT9.cab from below PC 2) Transfer HKBoySiR's Tegic eT9.cab to your phone via ActiveSync 3) Put it in your phone's 'My Documents' folder 4) Using 'File Explorer' (on your phone), open and install the .cab 5) Reboot your phone

Na you would need to update that yourself I believe. I do not think it is the "real" my faves program like the tmobile rom had; however, it is something you know.

TT7 is available: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=401691 Just thought some of you may not have noticed. It takes a while to figure it out but it is worth it. The software allows you to download 1 free map.

You can download 1 free map from tomtom.com to test this software legaly
If you purchased a tomtom6 map it SHOULD work ok with this version no promisis tho

What are these?

In TT7 you can chance the blue arrow for a 'bmp' picture. So instead of the blue arrow, you will see a car.

If you are asking about the file off xcforum, you have to place the ‘art map’ directly in “program files/navigator”. After that you can select the pictures in TT7.

If the file is unzipped , copy the cab to the phone or memory card.
Press the cab and it should install.

Map TomTom 6
I have installed TomTom 7 downloaded the map for free and installed it - works.
Then I tried to use my old maps from Version 6 and it did not work. So, I re-installed the maps with TomTom Home and still he does not use the Version 6 maps.
Do I need to twist the registry somewhere or is there anything else I am missing.

CAB to install Office Mobile 2007 onto your storage card (free up some device memory)

I wanted to free up more device memory, but the Office 2007 CABs (I could find) would only install to the device. So I edited the CAB I had, to give you the choice (device or storage card).
It seems to work OK. The shortcuts, on the start menu, weren't pointing to the new location... but I think I have fixed that. Not sure what happens on non-english devices.
The bugbears I have found are;
Hitting the new button in Word generates an error. I think it is because the default template is in the wrong place. So if anyone can shed some light on that, I would be grateful. It's not a biggie tho' I just created a document called "blank.doc" and open that instead.
And the File Associations are pointing to the old location. I edited the registry changes in the CAB, but I screwed up (it couldn't handle the space in 'Storage Card'... hmmm). So I went back to the earlier version, and you have to edit the file associations manually. #
Is anyone willing to lend me a brain cell here?
I'm sure someone will come along now and say, "there is already a CAB that does this".... but I did spend two days looking for one!

there are 3 cases for for software on PDA devices:
applications that are cooked with the ROM installed on your device (in this situation you can not uninstall these applications)
applications that installed as a part of the post-flash customization.
applications that you install yourself
for the 2nd and 3rd situation you may go to "Settings/[Tab: System] Remove Programs" if you want to know which programs are installed on your device and from there you can uninstall the programs that you don't need.
I hope this was a kind of useful for you and it answered your question.

other than changing to another ROM (without Office cooked in)... there's a fair choice!

I'll just point out that this cab breaks the finger friendly menus in 6.5.3 File Explorer...

I have TP 2 with windows 6.5 and I can not get my device id number from "ttnavigator bif" file.Its saying that "no app associated with ttnovigator"
Tomtom definately instaled.
Maube someone had that prob before.

What kind of problems?
1. Problems recognizing installed maps?
2. Problems with bluetooth, or BTTray errors on bootup?
3. Problems with hardware keyboard recognition in TomTom?
If any of these PM me.

Just copy the .bif file to your PC, and open it with notepad.
