Before I upgraded to the HTC WM6, I was on t-mobile rom and I held A/# key to silence the phone. Now that i've upgraded to the HTC WM6, it won't let me do that anymore. It just goes to the dialer with a # key showing. Anyway to reactive the one-key silencer?
Can't you just hit the right soft key? That sends it to voicemail, no?
My right soft key is contacts...
Not when its ringing..lol
I believe he is referring to toggling between profiles and not silencing an incoming call. You can always do a quick press of the power button to bring up a quick access to your profile choices.
So there's no way to hold one button and silence it like that? -_-

Currently, the way I change my PPC profile is by pressing the side volume button, and then tapping on vibrate. That will cause the phone to be in silent mode. I believe many of us do the same?
The problem is, I find it a hassle to press on the button and then tap. It's just too many steps. Is there any app than when tapped on, toggles the volume ON/Vibrate?
Or anyone with vb.net experience can help me on creating such an app? thanks!

Have had this phone for 2 days now, pretty amazing but a few things I can't figure out.
1) Is there a simple way to set an automatic time for the phone to keylock? Say after 10 seconds of inactivity or something instead of having to hold down the end button everytime - Keep forgetting -. Already a few accidental calls due to this. Tried lock me lite, doesnt seem to work properly and I like the builtin lock function, just need to get it to do it by itself.
2) Is there a way to set a key where i can long press to switch from vibrate(and silent) to "normal" and vice versa? I'm already using the long end for locking the device.
Thanks, this has been bugging me since I got the phone.
After seeing this message, and not finding the answer, I wrote my own utility to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=580050
You can configure long end to popup a menu, which includes lock, flight safe, vibrate, etc...
I'm posting a Vibra (switch) cab that will switch from vibrate to ring. I have it assigned to long send to switch back and fourth. Otherwise I just use the volume keys pretty successfully (I had this cab from my old phone that didn't have volume keys, so I wanted a button to switch it easily).

Hi all,
looking for a sotware that lock the hardare button when I receive a incoming call. These buttons are really sensible and you can accept or refuse the call very easily when you take the phone from your pocket.
I want a software just for this or "how to" disable the virtual buttons for incoming calls.
I dont want to try S2U2 because has is own background and I want to maintain the WM 6.1 "today" screen.
any suggestion? thanks in advance.
Try this http://forum.ppcwarez.org/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=90739
I have found the solution.
AE Button Plus

with this software you cam map de actions of your hardware buttons. So I did the following configuration.
Green Button.
1 keypress = do nothing
2 keypress = do green button defalt action.
the same for the red button, now I have to press twice the green buton to accept an incoming call and twice the red to refuse.
Fantastic and simple.

I use this one:

I want to toggle between Vibrate and Ring+Vibrate with the PTT button.
If you're talking about the PTT button them my guess is that you have a Tilt2 -- and if that's the case then all you need to do is press and hold the far right hardware button on the front ("hang up"): this will switch between the ring you have set (presumably vibrate+ring) and vibrate.
Now you've got the PTT button free to map to something else useful. For mapping I would suggest the Rhodium Keyboard Controller (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=554240).
Yes. I do have the ATT Tilt Two.
I'm running the stock rom. I used Crud Scraper to remove the bloat. When I press and hold the end call, it locks the phone. I have no need for that function because when the screen is off on the Tilt 2, the keys lock, unlike on the Tilt 1. I had to use S2U2 on my old Tilt.
Look for the setting
I think it is start>settings>Personal>Long End Key to change the behavior of the 'hold end key'.
The link provided by pistou will do what you need with the PTT button.
I decided to use the PTT button to turn on the Comm Manager.
I copied it from the windows directory to the start menu, so that it shows up under the button options. Now I can disconnect data more easily for added battery life. Thanks for all your help.
Hello everybody...
When I tap the "mute ring" button during incoming call, it simply not works. Animation showing that screen "recognised" the tap, but it is not doing its function. The Ring call is still "on"...
I am googling for a couple of days and can't find any solution....
Anyone?
Any idea is a great help...
Thanks
46 views and nobody has an idea or my case is unique?
OK...I will extend the problem description....
I tried to "bypass" the problem by installing some apps which work on their own.
For example, Phone Ex 2.2 when I tap the "mute ring" button it does the command "Answer" wtf????
There was another app which I can't remember the name and which is originally designed to program all the hardware buttons as per user's taste, but the application didn't have any "mute ring" option.
So...I think I can not resolve the problem by installing another application, so I beleive there is somebody on this forum that can help me in a different way....
To mute the ringer you can push the down volume key, this is what i do and it always works. This is actually a shortcut button for most phones if i'm not mistaken

Click to collapse
Well it WAS on previous models of HTC and blackberry, but it is not the case by default on my device.
I have the same problem with my Touch2 and when this happened, my call (hard) key also not functioning. I have to do a soft reset and it came back to work again. I guess u have to soft reset your phone every couple of days so that it cleared out waste memory which effected this function.
After i soft reset mine, it works again but after using for awhile it will have the same problem. Dont know how to permenently fix
