I´ve installed the HTC "Plus!" Plugin on my MDA Compact III (= HTC P 3300, or Artemis) which makes an "Info Panel" with a big clock and a "quick launcher" available.
The "quick launcher" itself makes several buttons available which one can choose in the "today"-settings under HTC Plus! .
I made the experience, that theese big "quick-launcher"-buttons under the clock do not work as good as the rest of available smal buttons and settings.
That means, sometimes I have to press several times on one of theese big buttons, to activate the corresponding function; sometimes it can´t be activated with it. All the other "normal" buttons (which have nothing to do with the HTC Plus!-Plugin) work with one lighter pressing at the first time.
Is this a known problem? How can this problem be solved?
Thanks for answers.

Having the same problem and have been unable to find the answer. It's a cool app if only it worked properly. Let me know if you find anything
@mikej4
Hi, mikej4, meanwhile I´ve give´n up hope, that anyone answers me...
In this forum the folks don´t discuss such irrelevances
I didn´t solve the problem until now. Don´t know, whether there is a solution for it, or whether this is a bug which one has to accept.
In the meantime I switched off the "quick-launcher". Perhaps anybody gets astrayed in this thread and has THE answer for us
I use HTC Plus myself but I don't use the applauncher so I can't really answer your question but I did want to let you someone had read your post.
Does HTC Plus work on HTC Touch?
will it work with HTC Touch?.....
I don't know if it will work with the HTC Touch or not but I don't see why not,I like it as its a nice alternative to HTC Home theres just so many people using HTC Home I like having a different look on my phone.

After posting in the wrong forum I'll try it here.
My HTC Home Plugin won't show up in the today screen. I can select it from the list and it should display but instead of the plugin there is a big empty area.
Using a Rom cooked with this one (German base + O2 OEM package)
I'm quite happy that everything works (first flashed ROM) but HTC Home is making me sad
So make me happy and help me.
Thanks in advance.
hi,
people i have a problem and i think it's about rom.the problem is that with artemis touch 3.01 rom the screen isn't behaving as well as it does with original htc WM6 roms; the X button has a lot smaller touch surface and it's hard to press with your finger only...which was very easy with any htc rom.the screen IS ALIGNED and it's working propertly and sharply, only the the X's surface is too small.i don't know if it's in registry, some settings or somewhere else but if anyone has noticed it or has any idea why X button is behaving differently than with original roms please let's deal with it because it's one of very few artemis touch 3.01s bugs.
thanks
Do not post the same question in 3! different posts, this is called crossposting and you have read the rules when registering on this.
This question has been asked b4 so i advise you to use the search creatively.
But its a manner op opinion i guess too, I myself use a 3.01 rom too and have no problems with it (using the indexfinger/nail). But i also have to say that i have assigned the ok/close and close all option to a hardwarebutton and rarely use the stylus or finger for it.
Maybe you get some more specific response/help to your question.
Regards
well i had this bug with b&b too...but ill try to do sth with it.
and about those 3 posts...i know the rules but i had some problem with connection and...i accidently posted it...sorry,won't happen again
Does anybody know how I can replace standard (green) HTC dialer so it could work by pressing "call" button on device?
thanks!!
Hi
Not quite sure what you want
If you press the Green call buttonn this should bring up the dial screen anyway!
Can you explain this in more detail
Thanks
Dave
Hi!
when pressing green button i would like another (not standard HTC program) dialer to run.
the reason is that i'm not happy with HTC dialer and i want to replace it. but I want "call button" to be enabled and to run alternative dialer.
thanks a lot!
What ROM are you using on your phone, Tom's Oops Black V1.0 has a very nice dialler on it
Might be worth looking at that
Thanks
Dave
Standard WM6. I was trying to install different ROMs but i failed. I got error messages, only standard HTC ROMs are installing on my device (it is USPL unlocked).
is it possible to update standard dialer that is embedded into HTC ROM...?
That is one for someone else to answer i'm afriad.
I haven't had any time to play or develop any ROMs or skins so i cant help you on this
Sorry
Dave

Yes you can change your dialer.
There are many skins in the forum.
See the General discussion > Development and Hacking sub-forum and you'll find some.
This one for example:

Hi there,
Is there a really simple FREE low memory program that will allow you to assign a hardware button to toggle the device/key lock on & off?
i.e. pressing & holding the end call softkey rather than hitting the today screen plugin.
Thx,
GW
No-one have a solution for this?
If topic alady covered, apologies. Please direct to post if one is present
Hi Gulioth,
I've tested two solutions for your problem
1. is slide to unlock, also known as SU2
You can start his app by pressing a predefined key.
2. Install the htc home customizer plus htc home. On the tap apps, you can define a shortcut to lock your device. it is the simple WM lock.
For me the last solution appeared to be the best, although you have hit the screen.
If you can't find the apps, post again and I'll try to find the links
Thanks for feedback & suggestions.
I cannot use the htc home customizer plus htc home as it's causes the phone to lag & crash frequently.
Just looked at S2U2 & I think it would do the job however which version would work well with the Artemis/XDA Orbit?
Are there other alternatives?
Anyone help us out here? Just want to know if S2U2 would be the best solution for my query, and if so, which version would work best for this handset? Also any alternative recommended programs out there?
Cheers
hey,
I use S2U2 as screen locking. Currently have the latest version and works fine with the artemis, although sometimes when unlocking, the screen gets locked immediately again.
there are some other apps like throttle lock, but I don't know those can be hooked to a key like you say (i.e. pressing the red button two seconds or so)
such a key-hook would be great!
unfortunately I don't know about programming for WM

Ok thanks I'll give it a go.
One last thing - is it best to install the QVGA or VGA version for the Artemis??!
since the artemis screen is 320x240 which is a quarter of VGA (640x480), QVGA would be the choice

LOL I figured it out cheers
At the risk of being a smarta$$ - wouldn't a quarter of 640x480 be 160x120??!!
640 x 480 = 307 200 pxl
320 x 240 = 76 800 pxl
307 200 / 76 800 = 4
Here is the quarter
Hi there,
does anybody has sugestions how to get due tasks on the today screen? my tp2 will arrive soon, and i'm still searching for a solution. I've tried out "Wisbar Advanced Desktop" and "Winterface", but both are not stable enough.
I'm currently using a TytnII with HTC home - works great for me.
Who has had the same problem and already found out a solution?
Or, if nobody has, is there a way to get the HTC Home Plugin for the TP2?
Thanks a lot!
Phil

I too am interested in this. I could never figure out why HTC omitted it from the home screen. It's a PDA for crying out loud.
I have found no way to get tasks to appear on the TF3D Home screen but on my TyTn I used SPB Diary to display appointments and tasks on the Today screen. Was very useful, too bad there is no option to place tasks on the Home screen in TF3D.
Work arround
Hello again,
i would like to push this up again and share an idea with you.
my idea is a small aplication which counts the tasks due today for example every 30 minutes ad creates an all-day appointment for the current day which can easyly be displayed on the todayscreen of TF3D/Manilla.
Unfortunately i have no idea how to create such an application, but i guess for some of the pros here it will only take minutes.
If it works it would be a nice solution.
Am i wrong?
Is nobody able to do it or nobody interested in it?
BUMP Please anyone? I would if I had a clue about how to. Maybe someone can create a tab for it?
After seeing this thread, I finally gave up and got a trial of SPB Mobile Shell 3.5. It's just ridiculous that they completely neglected tasks in the HTC-provided shell for a phone that's supposed to be for business. After a week of SPB, I was totally sold and bought a llicense. I'm still loving it. It even gave me 5% more memory on startup than Manila 2.1.
You can try a combination of SecondToday (I have it mapped to my left soft key) and the pocketbreeze 5.5 public beta 2.
