i just tried to copy some .brn files to windows to alter my TCube... But it says, the orignoo files are all used... So i cant delete or overwrite 'em...
Do I Need to shut down any services for that?

copy the cab to the ppc ,install it,
go to programs there will be a new folder called acessories,open it tap the usbswith icon and select serial ,restart your pda and you will be able to sync now.

I cannot seem to be able to load that file. I can only Explore on my 8125. I can extract the .cab file to my desktop and I can copy the unextracted .cab file to the 8125 (or the extracted files) but I cannot install the program.
Any suggestions?
Copy the .cab file to your device and run it there. I don't think you need to extract it first before copying it over.

i have a htc Magician with WM2003 and I want to copy the miscres.96.dll file from the windows folder but I can't copy it because it's in the rom? How can i copy this file? Do I have to use a dumped rom? I want to edit the icons of MSN.

You can not just copy files from ROM.
You need to dump the ROM then extract the files. Search this forum for dump tools and instructions.
i copied over my original 'sdbus.dll' and 'sdmemory.dll' files from the Windows directory (I know..i'm stupid!)...could someone with an HTC S620 w/ WM6 please copy the originals and zip them for me?

If those are ROM files you can just delete them and the originals will re-appear.

I'm trying to do the same - what's your result?
Simply connect your phone to your computer via activesync, then drag those files into another folder on your phone. Disconnect from your computer, delete the files you dragged, then reboot. The origianl files will be restored.
So do you need the files like in a zip format. Where are those files located.

you are not supposed to extract the contents of the cab file that you downloaded, copy the cab file over to the phone and execute it from the phone

You can google for TotalCommander and download and install it.
BUT when you copy those DLL files, BE CAREFUL if you're overwriting something, you'll be supposed to know what you're doing.
