I have recently picked up a XDA oribt using
ROM version: Black & Blue v4.2 WWE
ROM date: 7/10/2007
Radio Version: 02.98.90
Protocol version: 4.1.13.47
extROM version: A&A---T&T
the problem i seem to be having is it doesnt recognise that there is a SD card present. i have put in a micro SD 2Gb, which i believe should work with out problem. I have two micro SD cards and neither are recognised. I am new to owning a PDA and am not sure if I am doing something wrong. I have read through a few forums and havent found much simular problems I have seen some theads about updating the drivers so SDHC cards will work but I think they where for differant ROM versions, does anyone know if those drivers work with the ROM i use or can any one help with getting the normal micro SD card to work?

I have a friends Blueangel here with WM5 1.42.00 rom installed.I also installed all the fixes and patches at the time.
i want to flash it to the latest Helmi rom but none of my tested and working SD cards are recognised by his device.
I dont know how long it has been without the SD card slot working but after a search i couldnt find any info on SD card recognition issues with BA.
Anyone know of a fix i might have missed?

I've not seen any patches regarding SD cards.
What kind of SD card have you been trying? Anything that is an SDHC card won't work.
miniSDHC car is not visible in the File Explorer or on the PC wia ActiveSync. it was visible under previous WM 6 ROM which was the early, leaked version. now after installing new Dopod Asian WWE version, the card is no longer detected unfortunately, I don't have a USB card reader for HC cards, so I can't format it right now. any suggestions on the fix? anyone else seen high capacity card not being detected? thx!

Oh no, this is not good news. I thought that they would have sorted all of the card issues with the new rom...shame on HTC!
I tried the new ROM and I used the 4GB Tanscend MiniSD HC and it was working fine!!!!!!!!! No problems at all!
My 4GB SDHC was working fine with official rom until it bricked.
Now it's impossible to access it in any device.
my problem continues. hard reset and reinstall didn't help. looks like the problem is with the card.
anyone knows any SDHC USB card readers to format this pain in the neck? thx!

I Bought a 2gb Sandisk Micro SD card but it doesnt show in the memory section or using any file explorer, the 256mb one i got with the phone does work though.
Ive formatted to fat in windows as it works perfect with xp and OSX even shows it.
ive installed the sd fix from the forum but that doesnt fix my problem. Any Advice other than get another card?

I hope you didn't buy a 2GB Micro SDHC card as currently only SD works on the Artemis. I have a 6GB Micro SDHC sitting in a draw, so it's an easy mistake to make. If it's SD, then not sure what the problem is.
It doesnt say on it sdhc, il have to wait till i get home now to find out as i aint got the adapter for it and look at it in windows
Have a few other things:
Double check it's formatted FAT32 < never tried FAT16, but that definitely works . You didn't buy this from China on Ebay did you, I bought a mini SD a couple of years ago as 'genuine Kingston' that only worked on my PC and never worked in my phone. There are some seriously dodgy copies out there.
If it's SDHC it should say on the card itself, so it's probably just SD.
Thought they had to be fat not fat 32
All Working now, dumped it in my camera, took a picture and then put it in the phone and it worked straight away sods law

I believe if you do a search on 4GB SDHC on this forum and you will find the information and link explaining that you need to install a patch which will allow your unit to handle a card greater than 2GB.
As to the GPS, if it is stored on the SD card, fix the SD card first then work on the GPS. Depending on the GPS software you are using it may be looking for a specific name assigned to the storage card for it to work.
Can updating the latest firmware solve this problem?..i try anything include format the sd card
and even replace with new one but i havent update the firmware because i scared it might get
worse..pliz help because it tiring to restart your phone at least twice a day

facing same problem when using Sandisk 32gb class 10 micro SDHC..
Maybe the problem on your sdcard. Or sdcard holder on your phone.
