No more Terminal Services in WM6 ?

Hi,
I flashed the WWE WM6 rom and I'm unable to find "Terminal Services". Was it removed completely from WM6 or does it need to be downloaded somewhere manually ?
Any comments would be appreciated.

Replaced with Remote Desktop...
Terminal Services was replaced with Remote Desktop... There is a cab file for it, you can google the forum using the Forum Google Search in my signature... Just search for RemoteDesktop.cab and you should find it quickly...

TT7 is available: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=401691 Just thought some of you may not have noticed. It takes a while to figure it out but it is worth it. The software allows you to download 1 free map.

If you purchased a tomtom6 map it SHOULD work ok with this version no promisis tho

What are these?

In TT7 you can chance the blue arrow for a 'bmp' picture. So instead of the blue arrow, you will see a car.

If you are asking about the file off xcforum, you have to place the ‘art map’ directly in “program files/navigator”. After that you can select the pictures in TT7.

If the file is unzipped , copy the cab to the phone or memory card.
Press the cab and it should install.

Map TomTom 6
I have installed TomTom 7 downloaded the map for free and installed it - works.
Then I tried to use my old maps from Version 6 and it did not work. So, I re-installed the maps with TomTom Home and still he does not use the Version 6 maps.
Do I need to twist the registry somewhere or is there anything else I am missing.

Google Maps .cab for Hermes?

Hi All,
I did a search but can find a .cab which can install google maps on to a hermes.
does it exsist or does it have to be preinstalled in a rom by a cook?
please could someone link me or post the cab?

somehow, i cant get on to m.google. i get 'the page cannot be found. check the name and try again.

New Navigon 4.1

Navigon received an update to version 4.1 today which finally adds the option to choose maps you want to download and install. This reduced my installation from 2.5 GB to 750 MB.
Just thought I shared this information with you guys if haven't received the update notification already.

seems Content Downloader not work with Navigon 4.1
What is new:
- MyMaps (Map Manger) is included in Navigon 4.1. you can download maps which you want
- Active Lane Assistant
- Weather Live
- Optimized positioning
ok... it's possible to use update options from 4.0 to 4.1 (with Windows Phone Power Tools)
install v4.0, then with ContentDownloader download data from Navigon server and deploy to device
use Windows Phone Power Tools and with Update option upgrade to 4.1
on first start you must download small amount of content update...
unfortunately Q3.2011 map is wiped out from device if deployed with ContentDownloader to device...

As dxdy said, Content Downloader doesn't work with Navigon 4.1, and maps installed are Q1.2011, but using Windows Phone Power Tools is it possible to update this maps simply overwriting them (using maps Q3.2011). It's important that you modify filelistBA.xml too, writing the correct size value of the new map.

...so here is the guide:
1 - You must have this things: Windows Phone Power Tools, NAVIGON_Europe_v4.1.0.0.xap patched (you can obtain it using WP7 3Mktplace), NAVIGON Q4.2011 Maps (from Google as well) end, obviously, a WP7 unlocked device.
2 - Install NAVIGON_Europe_v4.1.0.0.xap on your device using any application deployment utility, launch it and use Navigon Map Manager to select the maps that you want to install. When all maps and system files are downloaded, the program start and run, but with the old Q1.2011 maps!
3 - Unplug your device and restart it, so you can free you memory from the apps freezed for multitasking (Navigon is one of them).
4 - Now plug you device and launch Windows Phone Power Tools, connect to it and go to file browser section. Open the IsolatedStorage related to Navigon ProductID, open Map folder and delete the old maps in it.
Now flag Overwrite Existing and press the Put File button and upload Q4.2011 Maps the you have previously downloaded (be sure to select Map Folder before doing it). Very important: all maps must be of the same type (Q4.2011 in this case) or Navigon resets itself to default.
5 - Finally, download on your PC the filelistBA.xml file, edit it with notepad and modify the file size of your maps (copy and paste the real size of the map, not the size on hd, without dots). Then re-upload the modified filelistBA.xml file on your device, start Navigon and navigate!

...no polish language in this version, sorry. The only languages are:
- Deutsch
- English
- Espanol
- Francais
- Italian
- Neterlands
- Dansk
- Norsk
- Suomi
- Svenska

by me it worket so:
1 i have navigon 4.1 xap (patchet) instaled
2 wlan turned on
3 navigon started, and the cards and everything else has been downloaded automatically
So I have the maps downloaded directly without navigon mobile content downloader

...yes, all it works, but your maps are old (Q1.2011 vs actually Q4.2011).
My guide is only for maps update.

Canadian WP7 Owners beware, this application only provides maps for US States in Marketplace..There Website claims all North America.. Just a heads up for all Canucks or US users wanting to use device in Canada..

It appears right after you entered a destination. If you tap it, you'll get some more detailed information.

Hello,
I try to search v4.1 in the 3MktPlace but it didn't show up. A lot of other applications shows up without navigon. Some help ?
Also I installed NAVIGON select Premium Edition - v3.0.1304.xap and put some maps on the phone. Now I want to add more maps but I can not make navigon to search again for new maps how I can make him search again and install more maps trough NavigonContent web server ? I try this, put Turkey map on the phone using Windows Phone Power Tools and added to .xml file this map. Now when I check on navigon in Change Region I see in installed maps Turkey Q111 (the other maps are Q110) but when I try to browse the map I can not see Turkey map some suggestions ? Also if in some way I found Q3 maps can I install them over this maps now and use v3.0 navigon ?

I'm curious if anyone managed to use Canadian maps from previous versions in 4.1 US. I tried and I'm able to see Canadian maps in the Map Manager list but I can't use them.

Navigon just gets better by each new version, 4.1 is the best yet!
P.S. Does anyone know how the contacts work? every time enter a name I get nothing? I was under the impression it syncs with my phone contact or am I missing something?
