Hi, is there a way to always allow Opera Mini to connect to the internet? every time i load a page it comes up with a message saying something like "do you want to allow Opera Mini to connect". I tried checking the settings for the app, and all you can select is never or allow once.
Cheers

Does this BBBrowser supposedly use the same BB connection I set up for the mail ? or would I be using gprs connection for that? Not that it matters right now, because after fresh install (and push email setup perfectly), I clicked IEExlore icon and got this popup" There is a fault in the Blackberry Browser configuration. Blackberry will try to correct the browser configuration and restart your device. Click OK to start". Device SR, go to IE icon, click, and I get new message "The Blackberry Browser could not be repaired. please contact your System Administrator". Any suggestions for repair to get this browser going ? I had installed BBconnect on my storage card because it seems that it required 10MB (never seen a program that large meant for PPC). Just wondering if there is a default area for changing browsers?
PS Just found the Internet browser Icon in folder , but after clicking that, still get message that Browser could not be repaired
New News: Just removed BBConnect, and put into Main Memory, and got BBBrowser working,,and is using the BB connection instead of GPRS to surf..therefore I assume that surfing is compressed. Still would like to know if most people have loaded this app on their storage cards, and why mine had to be loaded to main.
Here is my problem: the way my school does authentication is that, when I run my browser on the laptop, the 1st thing I see is the login page. After I correctly entered user ID and password, a pop up window indicates that I've been authenticated. I need to keep that pop up window in order to state connected. If I kill the window, I would no longer be authenticated. So, I tried using IE and Skyfire, I suspect that I cannot get authenticated because the browsers don't support pop up. Any suggestions? Thanks very much!

Click to collapse
you would probably have to authenticate with ie then leave it as a running task...open another browser and use it to navigate/surf with. i have had to do that at some hotspots

Just got it, you are right! Thanks!
When I open Opera, I always get the notification "Do you want to go online?". If I don't have a connection open to the Internet, I can imagine the notification. But I don't want the notification if I'm already online.
Is there a way to set Opera that is does ask the question, when I don't have an Internet connection open and to skip this dialog box, when I do have an Internet connection open?
On my previous HTC (Diamond) I only got this dialog box when I wasn't connected.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions,
Rob.
I think this question has been posted somewhere before but i really tried search, got no clue.
Sometimes touch pro2 automatically connects to the internet, you can see a pop-up window, saying that something like " cannot connect to...dialled...please check your connection.....dismiss".
This morning when I woke,I saw this window again, sorry I pushed dismiss button, the window's gone,so i cannot copy the exact content here.
I dont count, but i think all the roms I installed has this phenomenon. So I guess all of you saw this pop-up windows.
can someone point me to the right link that answered this issue?
thanks.
-auto weather update?
-Activesync trying to connect to your exchange server?
-Your other POP3/IMAP email accounts trying to poll the server?
-Microsoft MyPhone set to auto sync?
-Microsoft Live trying to poll the server?
-QuickGPS trying to auto update?
-anything else running in the background that uses the internet? (eg, Marketplace, IM apps, browser, etc)
if that window is popping up then you have the wrong data settings. find the correct data settings for your mobile operator/carrier and put them in your phone, or if you don't want to use any wireless data search for modaco no data on google and use that app to stop your device from attempting to connect.
Thanks a lot ! Was looking for that program....
Also you can use 1minute gprs disconnect, it´s a great tool
Hi all, i just got my HTC Desire but have been spending hours trying to get it to connect to my uni website,
https://portal.shef.ac.uk
It pops up with a message saying the certificate is untrusted, i press continue and then it says, " Data connectivity problem, The server failed to communicate. Try again later."
However it never works, I have tried using dolphin which brings up the same message.
However Opera and fennec browser seem to load the page fine.
Please can someone tell me what is going on.
Many Thanks
James
i Think u need to install the certificate from the web page, so the phone see it as trusted site..?
